’2012 Korean Music Wave Festival’ in Incheon canceled + fans of Super Junior’s Leeteuk concerned

The 4th annual ‘2012 ‘Korean Music Wave Festival‘, which was scheduled to take place on September 15th at the World Cup Stadium in Incheon, has unfortunately been canceled.

HH Company, the event’s organizer, posted the announcement and apology onto the Korean Wave Festival’s official website stating the cancellation was due to expenses. The sudden cancellation has left many fans angered and disappointed as it would have invited numerous well-known idol groups such as KARA, Super Junior, F.T. Island, B.A.P, ZE:A, Boyfriend, Girl’s Day, Rainbow, A Pink, and more.

Fans of Super Junior’s Leeteuk, in particular, have expressed their concern as this event would have been Leeteuk’s last stage performance before enlisting in the military later this year.

One fan commented, “I heard Leeteuk prepared a lot for this as it would probably be his last stage performance before enlisting. This is disappointing.” Another wrote, “We won’t be able to see Leeteuk for the next two years. I’m shocked by the cancellation.”

Aside from fans of Super Junior, other fandoms expressed their disappointment saying, “If it was going to be like this, you guys shouldn’t have announced the event to begin with” and “Think about everybody who had been waiting for the concert to take place. Please just continue with the concert.”

HH Company will be issuing refunds to those who purchased tickets.

Kang Sora shares her thoughts on ending ‘We Got Married’

Actress Kang Sora shared her thoughts on leaving MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘ series and her life as part of the “dimple couple” with Super Junior‘s Leeteuk.

Kang Sora posted to Twitter on September 8, “Soon, my final broadcast of ‘WGM’. To Kim Jun Hyun PD who’s worked hard for the past year. Do Gok Dong PD. Writers Sang Hee, Kyung Mi, Na Ol and Teuk oppa! I’m taking a lot of lessons from this. Thank you. To all the many viewers who watched too.”

Leeteuk previously expressed his feelings on ending the show as well on the 7th. He tweeted: “Sora and I’s segment on ‘WGM’ will end this week. Though I’m disappointed we couldn’t do as much as I wanted during this past year, I’m just happy to have comfortably shown the person Park Jung Soo [instead of Super Junior's Leeteuk]. Thank you to Shin Kim Joon PD, Sang Hee and Kyung Mi nuna for all your hard work. Sora too. ^^.”

The “dimple couple”, who started their on-screen relationship last October, had their final appearance on the September 8th broadcast of the show.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk shares his thoughts on ending ‘We Got Married’

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Kang Sora will be saying their farewells on the upcoming September 8th episode of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘.

The couple spent their last moments at the “dimple house” where they looked over pictures, items, and reminisced on their times together during the past year. Leeteuk in particular is reported to have surprised with his displays of affection towards Kang Sora.

The Super Junior member tweeted on September 7: “Sora and I’s segment on ‘WGM’ will end this week. Though I’m disappointed we couldn’t do as much as I wanted during this past year, I’m just happy to have comfortably shown the person Park Jung Soo [instead of Super Junior's Leeteuk]. Super Junior helps MBC’s ‘Radio Star’ maintain high viewer ratings

For the past three weeks, ‘Golden Fishery‘ has managed to seize the highest viewer ratings out of all the programs in it’s same time slot.

The September 5th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Golden Fishery-Radio Star‘ in particular recorded 8.4% total viewer ratings (according to AGB Nielsen Media Research), which was a 1.4% drop from the broadcast before that, however, it still managed to slightly surpass the ratings of SBS ‘Pair‘ (7.3%) and ranked at the #1 spot.

The program without a doubt benefited from the ‘Super Junior effect‘, as the most recent episode featured Super Junior‘s Leeteuk, Shindong, Siwon, and Eunhyuk. One of the most talked about segments on show was when Shindong shared the advantages and disadvantages to dating publicly, and explained why he was envious of Big Bang‘s G-Dragon.

Lee Joon and Oh Yeon Seo to replace Leeteuk and Kang Sora on ‘We Got Married’

It was mentioned previously that actress Oh Yeon Seo had been recruited as part of a new couple for ‘We Got Married‘ and that Lee Joon was one of the candidates that the show had been considering. It seems the two are now confirmed as the new couple for ‘We Got Married’, taking the place of Leeteuk and Kang Sora.

According to a broadcast representative, Oh Yeon Seo and Lee Joon have been confirmed for the show’s season four, and is scheduled to begin their lives as a “married” couple starting with the episode airing on September 15th.

Oh Yeon Seo has been rising in popularity with her role as CNBLUE Minhyuk‘s love interest on the extremely popular drama, ‘You Who Rolled in Unexpectedly‘, while Lee Joon has been earning laughs with his slightly “4D” character on various variety programs.

With their recruitment, Leeteuk and Kang Sora couple will be saying goodbye. Rumors of Leeteuk leaving the show had been going around for a while as it seemed inevitable with his enlistment coming up. He and Kang Sora began their appearance on ‘We Got Married’ back in October of last year and will now be wrapping up filming for the show.

‘We Got Married’ season four will continue on with couples Oh Yeon Seo & Lee Joon, Yoon Se Ah & Julien Kang, and SECRET‘s Sunhwa & ZE:A‘s Kwanghee.

Super Junior members talk about the level of Siwon’s wealth on ‘Radio Star’

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk revealed that fellow member Siwon is much wealthier than is reported in the media.

Leeteuk, Siwon, Eunhyuk, and Shindong guest-featured on the September 5th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘ where they said, “[Siwon] is far wealthier than is reported in the media. When we talk about it, we are actually making it seem like he has less than he really does.”

Member Eunhyuk added, “Normally when people say someone is the son of a wealthy family, they are often exaggerating the truth a bit, but that isn’t the case with us.”

Leeteuk then chimed in saying, “Recently, Siwon’s father moved to a bigger company. His father was also running an undergarment brand, but he passed that on to [Siwon's] mother,” causing everyone to have a good laugh.

The members did not stop there. They continued, “We were in the car taking him home, and even just three months ago he lived in a building towards the front, but he asked us to drop him off at a building towards the back. Turns out, they were decorating the interior in the first building, so he was living in a different building.”

Radio Star MC Kim Guk Jin who was shocked to learn about Siwon’s wealth remarked, “Is your house some kind of chain store?”, causing Leeteuk to once again add, “Siwon is #1 when it comes to wealthy idols. He could possibly buy out MBC,” continuing the entertaining atmosphere on set.

Super Junior talk about how their European fans threw undergarments & condoms on stage

Super Junior admitted that they were once completely shocked by the things being thrown on stage at them by fans overseas.

Eunhyuk, Leeteuk, Siwon, and Shindong guest-featured on the September 5th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, where the boys began by saying, “The European fans are so liberal. They just grab your face and kiss you. That kind of ‘skinship’ is so natural for them.”

The members continued, “When one member experiences something like that, we should be more careful, but rather we ask where that action took place and if someone says she was beautiful, we all go over to that side,” causing the set to explode into laughter.

Shindong shared his own shocking experience by saying, “[A fan] was fumbling through her clothes, when she suddenly threw her undergarments at me. I was so shocked, but they said that’s just the culture there and it’s very natural.”

Leeteuk’s story was perhaps the most shocking as he said, “The fans were throwing gifts on stage, and at first glance, they were small vinyl packs. Upon a closer look, I realized they were condoms.”

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk and Siwon shared a picture from their daily lives of being ‘cold city guys‘.

On September 4th, Leeteuk tweeted, “[Hanging out like this]… kekeke. After playing basketball kekeke,” and shared the above picture.

The picture shows Siwon and Leeteuk sipping on a couple of refreshing smoothies after a game of basketball.

Fans responded, “Like a cold city guy,” “How can he look so handsome even when wearing a beanie like that,” “Leeteuk’s eyes might pop out,” and “Where’s that cafe?”

Kang Sora impressed by Leeteuk’s body on ‘We Got Married’

On the August 25th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, Kang Sora showed her excitement over Super Junior Leeteuk‘s great physique after seeing a photo of him topless.

Kang Sora exclaimed, “Oh my god! Oppa? For real? [That kicks butt],” showing off her Kyungsangdo dialect, which she’s practicing for a film she’s working on.

Leeteuk questioned, “Honestly, you only like me for my body, don’t you?”, to which Kang Sora replied, “I like your body because I like you.”

He then made a romantic promise saying, “I’m going to exercise for the rest of my life.”

Leeteuk reveals that Mighty Mouth’s Sangchu accidentally gave Sulli a bloody nose

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk shared a behind-the-scenes story about f(x)‘s Sulli on the set of ‘To the Beautiful You‘.

On the August 21st episode of SBS‘ ‘Strong Heart‘, Leeteuk said, “I heard about a behind-the-scenes story for ‘To the Beautiful You‘”. He continued, “Mighty Mouth‘s Sangchu made a cameo in the drama and he shot a scene in which he got into a fight with Sulli.”

Leeteuk explained that during one part when Sangchu was supposed to send out a punch with Sulli ducking out of the way, the two missed and Sanchu’s fist ended up making contact with Sulli’s nose. Although Sangchu had tried to loosen the power from his arm when he saw his fist about to make contact with her nose, it wasn’t enough for Sulli’s nose started bleeding from both nostrils.

However, Sulli showed her professionalism and determination to keep going. “It started to bruise up, so I just asked the staff to cover up the bruise and kept continuing on with the shoot,” she said, earning compliments from the guests on the show.

Leeteuk and Kang Sora to resume filming ‘We Got Married’ until Leeteuk’s military enlistment

It seems as though viewers will get to see the Leeteuk-Kang Sora couple on television for a bit longer.

After it was announced that Lee Jang Woo and T-ara‘s Eunjung will soon be exiting MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘, fans began to wonder if Leeteuk and Kang Sora would be doing the same.

However, a broadcast insider recently informed Newsen, “The Leeteuk-Kang Sora couple will not be exiting the show immediately following Eunjung and Jangwoo. Super Junior‘s Leeteuk will be enlisting in the military later this year, and the Leeteuk-Kang Sora couple will naturally be making their exit around the same time.”

Different from Jangwoo and Eunjung who have already wrapped up their last episode, Leeteuk and Kang Sora are still proceeding with film shoots.

In related news, ‘We Got Married’ recently announced their newest couple, Yoon Sae Ah and Julien Kang.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk once again bares his abs for Harper’s BAZAAR

Leader Leeteuk of idol group Super Junior participated in a recent photo shoot that once again bared his chiseled chocolate abs.

The singer who is busy promoting Super Junior’s new album along with the rest of the members looked chic and trendy, dressed ready for autumn in the September issue of Harper’s BAZAAR.

During the interview that took place at the photo shoot, Leeteuk not only introduced his group’s new album, but also displayed pride in his activities as an MC. He reportedly seemed more earnest and sincere than he is on television, and Leeteuk also opened up about the loneliness that he feels from time to time.

Lee Jang Woo and Eunjung dance for the ‘dimple house’ on ‘We Got Married’

Lee Jang Woo and T-ara‘s Eunjung succeeded in winning over the Leeteuk – Kang Sora couple on MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘.

After losing their home and reverting back to a camping van on the previous episode, Lee Jang Woo and Eunjung were determined to take over the ‘Dimple House’ from Leeteuk and Sora.

Listening to their predicament, Leeteuk decided to do them the favor and trade houses, but had one request.

He stated, “First, you guys use the camping car for tonight, and then, you can use our penthouse from time to time. Since it can be uncomfortable because it’s [another couple's newlywed home], show [us] a dance in return.”

The Lee Jang Woo – Eunjung couple then began to dance for the ‘dimple house’, causing laughter.

On the same episode, Eunjung and Lee Jang Woo fought to eat crab stew outdoors in the face of a typhoon.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk bares his abs at ‘SMTOWN Live World Tour 3′

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk has fans swooning over his amazing physique once again.

Leeteuk is currently gaining a lot of attention for doing some fan service at the ‘SMTOWN Live World Tour 3‘ concert, which was held on August 18 at 5:30PM KST in Seoul’s Jamsil Olympic Stadium.

The Super Junior leader shared his ‘chocolate abs’ with 40,000 concert-goers during the group’s performance of “Bonamana“.

In related news, the next ‘SMTOWN Live World Tour’ concert is set for September 22 at the GBK Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Go Na Eun and Leeteuk discuss the importance of resolving differences between team members

On August 14th, former Papaya member and actress Go Na Eun and Super Junior‘s Leeteuk shared some words of advice for their idol juniors on ’Strong Heart‘.

Papaya was a girl group that debuted in 2000, and Go Na Eun drew her experience from those days to comment, “I can honestly say now that the relationships between the members weren’t that great. I hope that my juniors will not just focus on the present, but rather continue to look ahead into the future. Don’t take the things you’ve been given now for granted, and promote with the future in mind.”

Leeteuk added, “Once a problem arises in the team, you have to make sure to resolve it within the team because once it gets out, misunderstandings develop. I hope that our juniors will work to have honest conversations with one another and resolve their problems positively.”

Super Junior’s Shindong, Donghae, Kangin, and Leeteuk look chic in classic suits

Super Junior‘s Donghae revealed a group picture he took with Shindong, Kangin, and Leeteuk.

On August 7th, Donghae tweeted, “World ELF!! Good Night!! Oyaseumi Nasai!! Wan an!! Sleep Well!!” and shared the group picture above.

The picture depicted Donghae and Kangin looking handsome in their suit and bow ties in between Shindong and Leeteuk who looked quite chic in their black jackets. The four Super Junior members all looked like real classy gentlemen in their slick suits.

Stars thrilled to hear news of South Korea advancing into the Olympics soccer semi-finals

With South Korea beating Great Britain for the semi-finals in men’s Olympic soccer, numerous celebrities took to various Social Networking Sitse (SNS) to celebrate Korea’s victory.

Veteran artist Kim Jang Hoon wrote on his me2day, “What is this! We won~ The K-League beat the Premier League. This is unbelievable. The K-League is the best. There’s no need for the players to return to Korea. The airfare will be a waste since they will all be joining the Premier League, anyway.”

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk shared his feelings about getting his personal information mistakenly leaked.

On August 1st, Leeteuk tweeted, “Customer’s information was leaked. I got a text. It’s not even surprising. It happens all the time, but it doesn’t feel that great. My information was leaked so it was handed over to the police for investigations, but it’s going to get leaked soon anyway. It’s a world where I change my phone number, and I get a call right away.”

The Super Junior leader expressed how he felt about his information being leaked due to the mobile agency’s mistakes.

After hearing about the incident, Fans responded, “Leeteuk’s information was leaked too,” “I’m having a mental breakdown because mine got leaked too,” and “Leeteuk feel better.”

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk forewarned fans of a self-composed track, drawing interest from his loyal fan base.

Super Junior’s Leeteuk finds look-alike of Kyuhyun?

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk revealed a look-alike of member Kyuhyun.

On July 26th, Leeteuk uploaded the photo above onto his Twitter along with the message, “Which one is Kyuhyun? ^^ Kekeke.”

This picture had fans guessing as to which one was the real Kyuhyun due to the strong resemblance between him and the foreign female model.

Fans commented on this photo saying, “They do look really alike,” “I’m jealous of Kyuhyun’s looks,” and ”So Kyuhyun was actually a girl?”

On another note, Super Junior is currently promoting their new title track “Sexy, Free & Single“.
