Paris Hilton shares new photos taken with Kim Jang Hoon

Paris Hilton has once again updated her followers with a few new photos from Kim Jang Hoon‘s upcoming music video.

She tweeted along with the photos above,

The two are seen putting on a bit of aegyo in these new snapshots as both have their fists up by their faces for the “bbuing bbuing” pose popular in Korea.

As reported previously, Paris Hilton has been cast as the female lead for singer Kim Jang Hoon’s new music video, which will be shot in 2D and 3D with the help of Hollywood’s top staff members. The video is scheduled for release on October 4th, and is already drawing much attention as it is said that about $1.3 million USD has been invested into the music video and will feature Paris Hilton.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that Paris Hilton would be starring in Kim Jang Hoon‘s comeback music video. Following up with the promise, both Paris Hilton and Kim Jang Hoon have shared a few photos together straight from the set!

On August 24th, Paris Hilton tweeted, “On set shooting with Kim Jang Hoon. Such a nice guy! Love Korea.”

Kim Jang Hoon also wrote on his me2day, “Currently on my first day filming with Miss Paris. She’s always in the headlines for this and that so I was a bit worried before meeting her, but she was so nice and worked hard. Very lovely, I was touched~ Also very caring. I paid back the respect by getting her water and chocolate, and shading her from the sun. The atmosphere on the set is fantastic. I have a feeling the music video will hit daebak~ The moment I liked the best was when we had a smoke together sharing an umbrella.”

The music video will be shot in both 2D and 3D versions, and as previously revealed, will include the participation of Hollywood’s top staff.

Paris Hilton to star in Kim Jang Hoon’s comeback music video

Paris Hilton will be featuring in Kim Jang Hoon‘s comeback music video!

On August 22nd, a representative of Kim Jang Hoon revealed, “From the 23rd to the 25th, Kim Jang Hoon will be filming for his music video in parts of Los Angeles and Malibu in the States. Paris Hilton will be the leading actress.”

He continued, “We considered others like Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson, but according to surveys ran in Korea, Paris Hilton had better public recognition amongst the people in Korea compared to the other two, which is how we came to choose her as our final lead.”

Thanks to K-Pop’s rising popularity all over the world, the casting offer was readily accepted. The music video will be filmed in both 2D and 3D versions with some top Hollywood staff.

Kim Jang Hoon’s American agency further explained, “We’ve recently completed our final meeting with Hollywood’s biggest 3D staff members, and will be releasing finalized details on the 23rd. We’re sure that this will become one of the biggest Korean music videos worked on by the greatest staff in the world. Kim Jang Hoon’s previous concert in Los Angeles had earned an ecstatic response, so many are already familiar with his name and readily accepted offers to work with him.”

Kim Jang Hoon will be leaving for the States on the 22nd before flying to New York on the 26th to prepare for his upcoming concert.

His new track will be released in October.

Stars thrilled to hear news of South Korea advancing into the Olympics soccer semi-finals

With South Korea beating Great Britain for the semi-finals in men’s Olympic soccer, numerous celebrities took to various Social Networking Sitse (SNS) to celebrate Korea’s victory.

Veteran artist Kim Jang Hoon wrote on his me2day, “What is this! We won~ The K-League beat the Premier League. This is unbelievable. The K-League is the best. There’s no need for the players to return to Korea. The airfare will be a waste since they will all be joining the Premier League, anyway.”

IU wrote on her Twitter, “Ah, daebak! Ah! This is crazy! Wow! Our country really is the best!” followed by KARA‘s Gyuri writing, “The whole neighborhood is up in commotion. I’m so overwhelmed after watching today’s match. You’re amazing, South Korea. Fighting!”

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk: “Ah, this is making me cry. Our Taegeuk Warriors (Korean national soccer team) fought well. Although there were a lot of bad calls in this year’s Olympic, our players worked hard to show such a great game. Dae Han Min Guk!”

KBS announcer Jung Ji Won: “While we’re at it, let’s just go straight to the finals, Korea vs Japan! I want to go to London and massage our players’ legs. I’m sorry Giggs oppa. Sturridge oppa, please don’t be too angry. I’m not tired even if I don’t sleep. I’m already full even if I don’t eat.”

South Korea advanced into the semi-finals of the Olympic men’s soccer tournament after winning against Great Britain in a penalty shootout on August 4th. The team will be playing against Brazil this Tuesday.

Kim Jang Hoon awarded ‘Presidential Volunteer Service Award’ from President Obama

Singer Kim Jang Hoon‘s agency has revealed that the singer was recently awarded ‘The President’s Volunteer Service Award‘ from President Obama.

Awarded through the Corporation for National & Community Service, the award was created to encourage community service.

The singer received the award during ‘Kim Jang Hoon’s One Man Show in LA‘, which took place on the 21st PST at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre.

Along with the award came a letter of congratulations written by President Barack Obama. The letter stated, “Thank you for devoting yourself to building a better future for a great country.”

A concert staff member commented, “Kim Jang Hoon has not only donated approximately $13,000,000 dollars (15 Billion KRW) to the country of South Korea and donated all profits from his United States and Chinese concert to charities, but has also continuously promoted as a public figure representing Korea, which is why he deserved and received the award.”

The singer posted on a social networking site, “I’m sure you all saw on the news, but I was given the honor of receiving President Obama’s Community Service Award. I don’t know what I’ve done in the United States to deserve such an award.. However, I think now distorted and negative opinions toward celebrity donations have been set straight.”

Kim Jang Hoon returned to Korea on the 25th KST.

Kim Jang Hoon thoughtfully sacrifices dressing room for idol group INFINITE

Singer Kim Jang Hoon gave up his dressing room for junior idol group INFINITE.

The photo below recently surfaced on an online community site with the caption, ‘Kim Jang Hoon Dressing Room Donation‘. The photo was previously shared on INFINITE member Sungyeol‘s Twitter page, where he had written, “Senior Kim Jang Hoon donated the dressing room,” while also stating that his senior’s new song “Sunny Day” is ‘daebak‘.

Artists in Korea often share dressing rooms before performing on music programs, and the photo was of the note in front of the dressing room that INFINITE and Kim Jang Hoon were scheduled to share for Music Bank.

But instead of sharing the room, Kim Jang Hoon had written, “You guys use the room comfortably. I’ll be in the restroom on the second floor. You’ll never find a senior like this, hah.”

This was a thoughtful gesture on Kim Jang Hoon’s part, thinking of the INFINITE members who could have been uncomfortable sharing a room with a major senior such as himself.

“What a funny guy,” netizens wrote in response to the photos, along with “People are donating dressing rooms now?”, “This is hilarious“, and more.

TVXQ, Super Junior, B2ST, 2PM, &#038; more to be featured in &#8217;2012 K-pop Star Entertain Art Show&#8217;

Artwork featuring popular K-pop stars will soon become available for the public to see!

Starting June 23rd until August 19th, the Engagement Company, headed by Park Jae Shin, will hold its first art exhibit, titled ’2012 K-pop Star Entertain Art Show’, in the Korean International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) located in Ilsan. The art show will aim to attract both domestic and foreign Hallyu fans with its K-pop inspired paintings.

The artists have attempted to paint realistic, photo-like images of the K-pop stars using the “trompe-l’oeil technique”, a French technique that involves creating an optical illusion so that 2D images appear to be 3D ones. The application of such techniques can be seen in both the 2PM and Son Dam Bi examples provided. The K-pop artists depicted seem to be coming out of the pictures rather than remaining confined within the frames.

There will be three different sections within the art show, including a star zone, a themed zone, and a special zone. The star zone will feature the portraits of 19 artists, including TVXQ, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, f(x), KARA, CNBLUE, B2ST, Baek Ji Young, Im Jae bum, Yoon Do Hyun, Kim Jang Hoon, Huh Gak, and more across a total of 110 pieces. The Engagement Company has made sure to gain permission via signed contracts from the entertainment labels to use each celebrity’s image for the art show.

The special zone will feature pop artists like Mary Kim, Charles Jang, Artnom, and The Jack, who will be presenting K-pop star related pop art projects through this special showcase.

Representatives of the art show commented, “We will provide a special kind of entertainment bordering between reality and illusion for the Korean fans as well as international fans of Hallyu.”

Tickets to the show can be booked in advance at the Interpark website.

Busker Busker has been chosen as the musicians netizens want to meet most at a music festival.

A dating site held a poll asking its members, who range in age from 20-30, “Who is the musician you most want to meet at a May fesitval?” Busker Busker claimed the top spot with 41% of the votes (365 out of 890). In second place with 36% (320) of the votes was performer Psy, while DJ DOC‘s Kim Jang Hoon followed in third.

In related news, participants voted Yeosu Expo as the festival they most want to attend, and chose the World DJ Festival as their second in line.
