U-KISS wraps up Japanese solo tour at Budokan





U-KISS has wrapped up their solo tour in Japan at the Budokan.


According to their agency NH Media, U-KISS held their final concert on September 5 in front of an audience of 10,000 fans and 200 reporters. For three hours, the group performed their hit songs “Shut Up”, “Manmanhani”, “Round and Round”, and “Believe” as well as their Japanese tracks “Tick Tack”, “A Shared Dream”, and “Dear My Friend”.


Each member also prepared their own individual performance, and AJ, who is currently taking a hiatus to focus on his studies at Columbia University, surprised the audience with a video greeting.


In related news, U-KISS’ fourth Japanese single ‘One of You‘ hit 3rd on Oricon’s daily chart on September 5. They’ll be ending their promotions in Japan mid-September to make a comeback with their new album ‘Stop Girl‘, which will be released on the 20th.

U-KISS and Orange Caramel rank high on the Oricon Chart with new releases in Japan





Idol groups U-KISS and Orange Caramel have both ranked high on the Oricon Chart with their newly released songs in Japan.


According to the September 6th chart of Japan’s leading music ranking site Oricon, U-KISS’ new Japanese single “One Of You” which was released on September 5th ranked 7th.


“One Of You” is the fourth single released in Japan by the boys, and one they actively promoted in the local area. Ahead of this, U-KISS had also placed 5th on the Oricon with their previous single “Dear My Friend” released in Japan back on July 25th.


Furthermore, After School‘s subgroup Orange Caramel also released their own Japanese track “Sweet Devil” on the 5th, placing at 8th right behind U-KISS. In the album jacket photos for this particular single, the girls displayed their beauty with pink one-piece dresses, and the girls are preparing to promote this song in addition to the Japanese version of “Magic Girl“.


Orange Caramel will also be making a Korean comeback with their first formal album ‘Lipstick‘ on September 12th.

U-KISS’ Dongho gets his driver’s license!





U-KISS‘ Dongho revealed on Twitter that he has received his driver’s license.


The boy group’s youngest member expressed his excitement saying, “I’ll follow traffic laws and drive safely^^ Thank you to everyone who cheered me on!^^ Hehe.


Along the statement he posted a photo of himself holding up his newly acquired license and proudly revealing it for all to see!


Fans commented, “Congratulations <3,” and “Oh my, oppa has a driver’s license. I guess traffic will get worse. Keke. Anyway, congratulations.”

Girls&#8217; Generation, SHINee, U-KISS, and B.A.P to perform at the Macao Hallyu Concert!





Hallyu Wave leaders, such as Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and more, will be performing for fans in Macao!


Earlier today on June 26th, MBC Plus Media announced that they will be holding the ‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012′ at the Venetian-Macao Hotel on July 2nd. Performers attending, aside from the two artists mentioned, also include U-KISS and B.A.P.


Each of these idol groups will be singing their hit songs, making an overall 5 singles being performed. Representatives of MBC Plus Media have commented, “Although it’s custom for established Hallyu concerts to have each idol group perform 2-3 songs, the artists participating in the ‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012′ [will be presenting] a different kind of performance, [as they will] get close to the fans of Asia, strengthen the bonds between themselves and the fans, and encourage song participation.


Presently, fans in Hong Kong have set out to promote the event by voluntarily uploading photos showing their support for their favorite artists on social media sites, fancafes, and portals sites.


The ‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012′ will air on MBC in July.

U-KISS receives warm welcome from Cambodian fans





Idol group U-KISS recently paid a visit to Cambodia along with an NGO volunteer organization.


The boys landed at the Phnom Penh airport past at midnight, but the airport was jam-packed with fans who wanted to get a glimpse of their favorite Hallyu star.


Cambodia is an area that is just beginning to catch a few waves of Hallyu, and fan bases are beginning to form very naturally.


Being the first K-Pop act to visit Cambodia, the media outlets were scrambling to get their fix of the U-KISS boys. While the members were there, there were constantly long lines of reporters waiting for them day after day, and reports related to U-KISS were released and broadcasted ceaselessly. Furthermore, the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen along with his family were also out on site, proving U-KISS’ explosive fame in the local area.


At the fan meeting that was held on a Cambodian national holiday (June 18th), 5,000 audience members filled the venue and a few hundred Cambodian members of U-KISS’ fanclub ‘KISSME‘ were also present.


In related news, U-KISS who is currently promoting new title song “Believe” will be returning to Korea and focus on Korean promotions until the end of the month. Starting in July, the boys will officially launch their 9-city Japan Tour.

The Wonder Girls win the ‘Inkigayo’ mutizen + performances from June 17th!







SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘ is back once again with a new show full of exciting performances from the artists you adore, brought to you by the charismatic Lee Jong Suk, and special MC guests, Woohyun of INFINTIE and Sulli of f(x)!

U-KISS to be first K-pop act to hold fan meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia





U-KISS will hold their first fan meeting at Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 18 KST.


Immediately after filming for SBS‘ ‘Inkigayo‘ on the 17th, U-KISS will  leave for Cambodia. After they make a visit to a children’s school in Phnom Penh to do some volunteer work, the group will hold a large scale fan meeting on the 18th.


NH Media shared, “The foreign office also took interest and aided this fan meeting. National guests from Cambodia will attend the event as well. As U-KISS is the first K-pop idol act to hold a fan meeting in Cambodia, the national broadcasting station SCTV is promoting the event multiple times throughout the day.”


In May, U-KISS was the first K-pop idol act to be invited to Colombia, and in addition to Cambodia, they are also being invited by other countries, such as Peru and Brazil, experiencing the Korean wave.


In related news, U-KISS will hold a 16-show 9-city tour in Japan this July.

INFINITE wins #1 triple crown + performances from June 14th’s ‘M! Countdown’!







Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another spectacular episode chock-full of exciting performances!


Aside from the usual stages on tonight’s episode, boy group Boyfriend held their comeback stage with their retro title track “Love Style“.


The five ladies of f(x) also shocked the audience with their comeback track “Electric Shock“.


Korean-Chinese-Japanese boy group CROSS GENE made their hot debut with “La-Di Da-Di”


Last but not least, the wonderful Wonder Girls continued to pump the crowd with “Like This“.


Competing for the #1 spot, it was a hot battle between G.NA, INFINITE, and Wonder Girls, but in the end, it was INFINITE who clinched the win tonight with “The Chaser“!


Congratulations to INFINITE for their ‘M! Countdown’ trophy and triple crown win!

U-KISS announces Japanese single, “Dear My Friend”

Approximately five months after releasing their album “A Shared Dream” in February, Korean boy bandU-KISS will be releasing a new Japanese single titled “Dear My Friend“!


The Korean group’s newest single is slated for a released on July 25th, and is said to be a fresh, medium-tempo tune with the theme of friendship. “Dear My Friend” is currently airing as the ending theme to the TV anime “Arashi no Yoru ni Himitsu no Tomodachi“. The coupling track “Beautiful“, which was written by member AJ, has also earned a tie-up as the CM song for Kintetsu Department store’s “Passe Bazaar” CMs.


The jacket covers for the single are just as bright as summery as the song promises to be, as are the promotional photos for “Dear My Friend”.

U-KISS&#8217;s &#8220;Dora Dora&#8221; claims #1 spot on German Youtube&#8217;s Asian Music Chart





Idol group U-KISS has seized the #1 spot on YouTube‘s Asian Music Chart in Germany.


U-KISS triumphed other artists by seizing the #1 spot on German YouTube’s Asian Music Chart with their title song “Dora Dora” from their sixth mini-album released this past April.


In second place was Big Bang‘s “Fantastic Baby“, followed by B.A.P‘s “Power“, and MBLAQ‘s “This Is War“.


Though the boys have already concluded promotions for “Dora Dora”, U-KISS drew much interest as the song is still proves to be explosively popular overseas.


U-KISS has released their special album ‘THE SPECIAL TO KISSME‘, and are promoting their new song “Believe“.


In related news, U-KISS will be embarking on a 9-city Japan Tour this July, and will also be performing at Japanese musical festival ‘a-nation‘ put on by major entertainment label AVEX.

6 months after debuting in Japan, U-KISS invited to elite stage, &#8216;a-nation&#8217;





Idol group U-KISS has been confirmed to make an appearance at ‘a-nation‘, the largest Japanese summer musical festival.


One of the stages for ‘a-nation’ will be taking place at ‘Ajinomoto Stadium‘ in Tokyo on August 29th, and U-KISS has received the opportunity to stand on this elite stage.


The event is Japan’s greatest annual summer music festival put on by major Japanese entertainment agency ‘AVEX‘ and carries a history of over 10 years. Japan’s greatest artists such as Hamasaki Ayumi, EXILE, AAA, and more will be performing, along with Korean artists such as U-KISS, TVXQ, Super Junior, and Big Bang.


U-KISS will be performing side by side with some of the biggest names in both K-Pop and J-Pop, only 6 months after making their official Japanese debut. The boys are quite a hot commodity in Japan, as U-KISS will also be performing at a festival titled ‘Asia Progress M’, being held at Tokyo’s Yoyogi’s Stadium 10 days before ‘a-nation’.


In related news, U-KISS recently released their special album ‘THE SPECIAL TO KISSME‘ on June 5th, and have kicked off their new promotions by performing “Believe” on the June 6th edition of Mnet‘s M! Countdown.

U-KISS&#8217; Soohyun might have a girlfriend?





On the June 5th broadcast of MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘, the guests were put to the test with a lie detector.


An interesting situation came up when U-KISSKiseop asked member Soohyun: “Do you have a girlfriend?” Soohyun replied that he did not, but the lie detector responded that he was lying.


The members of B.A.P were also questioned as to whether they ever regretted joining their group, and as expected, they answered that they did not. However, the lie detector identified that they weren’t being truthful.

Every year, Japan’s biggest record label, avex Entertainment, brings together the best stars in Japan that year for a nationwide tour. The concert is something of a dream stage for singers in Japan and the performers for this year tour have been revealed.


In the past, a few Korean artists have performed in any given year but this year features many of Korea’s top groups in TVXQ, Super Junior, Big Bang, 2NE1, A-JAX, U-KISS, and SHU-I.

For the August 3rd performance at 14,000 seat Yoyogi National Gymnasium, 2NE1 will be performing. For the August 9th performance at the same venue, U-KISS, SHU-I, and A-JAX will be performing.

For the August 19th performance at the 50,000 seat Nagai Stadium in Osaka, TVXQ will be performing.


For the August 25th performance at the 50,000 seat Ajinomoto Stadium in Tokyo, TVXQ and Super Junior will be performing. The following day (August 26th) at the same venue, Big Bang and U-KISS will be performing.

U-KISS has just released Kevin‘s teaser photo for their upcoming special mini-album, ‘The Special to KissMe‘.


As the title of the album indicates, this is an album specially prepared as a gift for their fans, KissMe.


The track “Te Amo” was released on June 1 at midnight KST, and their mini-album is slated for release on June 5 KST. “Te Amo”, which means “I love you” in Spanish, was composed by Nassun and Zenda Faketeri, and produced by Beatamin. Notably, member AJ is reported to have composed and written the album’s title track, “Believe”.

U-KISS&#8217; Dongho played video games all night to look more manly?





U-KISS‘ Dongho revealed he tried playing video games all night to look more manly.


On the June 2nd broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Story Show Do Dream‘, movie director Kwak Kyung Taek and U-KISS’s Dongho appeared in a new segment called ‘Soul Food‘.


Dongho revealed his wish to become more like a man, and Director Kwak Kyung Taek gave him a piece of advice to achieve his goal.


Recalling his time ob the cast of KBS’ ‘Invincible Baseball‘, Dongho confessed, “I received so much stress that I couldn’t even sleep when there was talk that I was cute [even during] a charismatic performance.”


Dongho continued, “The next day I went to the filming site in a tired state, and I heard that I was like a man… As I wanted to hear that I was manly more often, for three days I played video games throughout the night. However, people who noticed my new image responded, ‘It seems like a lie,’ and ‘Stop it’.
