Stars thrilled to hear news of South Korea advancing into the Olympics soccer semi-finals

With South Korea beating Great Britain for the semi-finals in men’s Olympic soccer, numerous celebrities took to various Social Networking Sitse (SNS) to celebrate Korea’s victory.

Veteran artist Kim Jang Hoon wrote on his me2day, “What is this! We won~ The K-League beat the Premier League. This is unbelievable. The K-League is the best. There’s no need for the players to return to Korea. The airfare will be a waste since they will all be joining the Premier League, anyway.”

IU wrote on her Twitter, “Ah, daebak! Ah! This is crazy! Wow! Our country really is the best!” followed by KARA‘s Gyuri writing, “The whole neighborhood is up in commotion. I’m so overwhelmed after watching today’s match. You’re amazing, South Korea. Fighting!”

Super Junior‘s Leeteuk: “Ah, this is making me cry. Our Taegeuk Warriors (Korean national soccer team) fought well. Although there were a lot of bad calls in this year’s Olympic, our players worked hard to show such a great game. Dae Han Min Guk!”

KBS announcer Jung Ji Won: “While we’re at it, let’s just go straight to the finals, Korea vs Japan! I want to go to London and massage our players’ legs. I’m sorry Giggs oppa. Sturridge oppa, please don’t be too angry. I’m not tired even if I don’t sleep. I’m already full even if I don’t eat.”

2AM’s Changmin leads a strict lifestyle?

2AM‘s Changmin reveals that he is still leading a strict, austere lifestyle.

On the August 1st broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, Changmin admitted, “I slept at 11:30 PM yesterday,” revealing that he is still practicing strict habits of living.

Fellow 2AM members Jo Kwon, Jinwoon, and Seulong previously revealed, “For three years now, he’s (Changmin) gone home before 12AM,” and “I used Changmin’s computer before, and his hard drive was clean.”

Meanwhile, on this episode of ‘Radio Star’, musical actors Jung Sung Hwa, Nam Gyung Joo, and Lee Minho as well as Changmin told behind-the-scenes stories from their musical, ‘La Cage Aux Folles‘.

2AM’s Seulong shares series of Jo Kwon’s funny expressions

2AM‘s Seulong and Jo Kwon who recently celebrated their 4th anniversary uploaded several photos that amused fans in amusement.

Seulong shared on his Twitter on the 12th, “Filming with winter clothes on. This is the unemployed concept.. Kwon ah”, along with photos of them fooling around in the dressing room.

Seulong and Jo Kwon are seen wearing blue and red matching training suits. Seulong appears to be casually resting on the couch while Jo Kwon treats fans with five different expressions that are straight out hilarious.

Seulong reveals he filmed more CFs as a child actor than with 2AM

On July 3rd, 2AM‘s Seulong guested on KBS 2TV‘s ‘1 versus 100‘ and revealed that he had filmed nearly 20 CFs during his days as a child model.

MC and anchorman Han Suk Joon began the segment by mentioning, “I heard that although it hasn’t been long since your debut with 2AM, you actually debuted quite a while ago.”

Seulong replied, “I debuted as a child model when I was six years old. I shot more CFs as a child model than I have with 2AM. I think I’ve done nearly 10 to 20 CFs.”

When asked to do the cute facial expressions child actors are known for, he answered, “I didn’t do many cute facial expressions in my ads. I’ll do it anyway, so please give me some applause!”

Seulong went on to do the ever popular “bbooing bbooing” aegyo move before shyly wrapping it up by saying, “Sorry, let’s move on to the next question!”

Seulong would like to do his laundry on 2PM Junho’s washboard abs

2PM member Junho‘s ‘washboard’ abs have been revealed.

On June 20th, Junho shared the photo above on his Twitter page and wrote, “Sharing a photo, as we haven’t been promoting. A photo that was slightly revealed during the concert.. goodnight everyone.”

The photo of Junho at what appears to be the gym immediately caught the attention of netizens everywhere, as they revealed his defined ‘washboard’ abs.

2AM‘s Seulong who also saw the photo wrote, “So can I leave my laundry with you?”, to which a confused Junho replied, “What are you talking about?”

Seulong then expressed his frustrations writing, “Have you never even heard of washboard abs? Can’t believe this. Doesn’t even make sense. Daebak,” causing his fans to burst out into laughter.

2AM’s Seulong shows off his sculpted body for ‘Ceci’ magazine

2AM‘s Seulong showed off his masculinity as the endorsement model for Chanel‘s cologne.

Seulong was recently chosen to endorse the cologne ‘Allure Homme Sport‘ and shot an ‘Extreme Man‘ themed photo shoot. He daringly took off his top to reveal his sculpted body.

For this photo shoot, Seulong planned his meals and exercised for three weeks to be in the best possible shape for the event. With his professionalism, he was praised by the staff throughout the shoot.

The full pictorial can be seen in the July edition of ‘CeCi‘ magazine.

In related news, Seulong is currently beginning preparations for the filming of the movie, ‘26 Years‘.

2AM became popular with hit tracks like “This Song” and ”I Can’t Let You Go Even If I Die“, but the group had to overcome many obstacles while actively promoting their music, appearing on variety shows, and pursuing acting. Now in his 20s, member Seulong shared his thoughts on his life and career as an idol star and vocalist in a recent interview. Seulong also picked his favorite films about the world of men and the struggles they go through.

1. ‘The Godfather’ (1977)

“No words can describe this film. I was captivated by the actors Marlon Brando and Al  Pacino while watching the film. Although their acting was superb, I was more touched by the sad story line of the struggles of the men in that generation. I can’t imagine the thinking process that had to go into acting for this film.”

 

 

 

2. ‘Cinderella Man‘ (2005)

“This is the story of a man who had to carry heavy burdens. The film takes place during The Great Depression when the main character needed to make money to feed his family, but all he knew how to do was box. Although he gets hit countless times, he was determined to stay  alive in the ring, and this story really touched me.”

 

 

 

3. ‘Grown Ups‘ (2010)

“Because this movie was not released in South Korea, I watched it not too long ago on DVD. I love that Leonardo DiCaprio starred in this film. Seulong commented, “Before our recent album came out, I was able to have an important period of time to think and organize my thoughts. I was able to express the feelings I wanted for this album. Even though I don’t reveal much on the outside, I get very concerned about things on the inside. I try to be patient and pretend like everything is okay for the sake of others. Honestly, it’s harder as you get older to freely throw tantrums and cry when you’re sad in front of people. As I get older, there are many things I should let go of and hold in. ‘I Wonder If You Hurt Like Me‘ is a song based on this type of feeling.”

“I will keep on pursuing music. I also want to act. In whatever I do, I just want to have peace of mind. Because if I have peace of mind, I will not be shaken whether I succeed or fail.”

Seulong has already started his acting career in dramas and movies, and was recently selected as the honorary ambassador for the 13th annual Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF). 2AM also made a successful comeback with their mini-album, ’F.Scott Fitzgerald’s Way Of Love’, and will release a documentary film alongside 2PM entitled, ‘Beyond the Oneday‘ in Japan.

2AM’s Seulong & Son Eun Seo step onto the red carpet for the 13th annual JIFF

2AM‘s Lim Seulong showed that he was indeed one of the top Hallyu idols.

On April 26th, Seulong stepped onto the red carpet at the 13th annual Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF) held at the Sori Arts Center in Jeonju.

The singer who was selected alongside actress Son Eun Seo as an honorary ambassador for this event was dressed in a sharp black suit, earning the cheers of his fans.

Fans who were present at the JIFF ahead of Seulong’s arrival could not hold back their excitement once he stepped onto the red carpet. “He’s so handsome,” they gushed.

Also at the event were a number of Korean actors and actresses including Kang Soo Yeon, Yae Ji Won, Lee Young Ha, Cho Jae Hyun, as well as a number of big names in the film industry, including director Lim Kwon Taek.

184 films from 42 different countries will be featured at the JIFF this year, and French-Swiss film director Ursula Meier‘s film ‘SISTER‘ has been selected to open the event, while female Hong Kong fim director Ann Hui‘s ‘SIMPLE LIFE‘ has been selected as the closing film.

The 13th annual JIFF will come to an end May 4th.

2AM’s Seulong gets lucky with K-pop card pack

It looks like 2AM‘s Seulong got lucky with his random pack of K-pop cards. On April 23rd, member Jinwoon tweeted, ”We ended up buying it somehow and our card came out! ^^ Seulong-hyung is lucky!!! ke.”

According to Jinwoon’s tweets, 2AM bought a pack of K-pop cards, which usually hold a set of random collectable images of famous K-pop stars. It appears that Seulong’s pack included a photo of his very own group, 2AM.

Fans commented, “You found 2AM,” “You look so young,” and “Wow that’s awesome.”

Lee Jun Ki’s first impression of Shin Min Ah, “I felt like I was looking at a celebrity”

 

It seems as though 2AM‘s Seulong isn’t the only celebrity who’s a huge fan of Shin Min Ah. Actor Lee Jun Ki guested on a recent episode of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘ and revealed his first impression of Shin Min Ah.

Reporter Park Seul Ki began by discussing his drama comeback. “I heard you’ll be making a comeback through the upcoming drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate‘.”

After being officially discharged from the military back on February 16th, Lee Jun Ki landed a role for upcoming MBC historical drama, ‘Arang and the Magistrate’.

In response to the reporter, he nodded and spoke up about his first impression of actress Shin Min Ah, who would be playing the lead female role in the drama. “I felt like I was looking at a celebrity,” he said, bringing much laughter on set.

“When we first met, I continuously praised her which caused her to say a few words.” As the reporter and viewers were left curious to know her response, Lee Jun Ki finally revealed, “She said ‘you’re making me feel uncomfortable’,” causing viewers to burst into laughter.

In addition to the segment, footage of Lee Jun Ki recently celebrating his 31st birthday with fans was aired.

2AM’s Seulong recalls the time when he first met Lee Hyori

On the April 8th broadcast of SBS ‘You and I‘, 2AM‘s Seulong reminisced about the first time he met singer Lee Hyori.

“I first met Lee Hyori noona when I was a rookie at an end of the year award ceremony, and she began talking to me first. It was our first performance at an award ceremony so I was very nervous at that time, and I happened to sit beside her,” he said.

He continued, “She had her legs crossed and was leisurely looking around,” causing the audience to laugh. “She then suddenly tapped me on the shoulder and asked ‘Hey, are you nervous? Don’t be. What’s there to be nervous about?’”

MC Jung Jae Hyung then rebuked at Lee Hyori asking, “Were you acting all tough again?” to which she replied, “My sunbae was nervous so I wanted him to relax and loosen up a bit.”

2AM‘s Changmin recently expressed his jealousy of member Seulong‘s dating rumors with Wonder Girls‘ Sohee and revealed his desire to have a scandal with Girls’ Generation member, Sunny.

On the March 17th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Quiz That Changes the World‘, 2AM members appeared on the show revealing some interesting stories and confessions.

2AM’s Seulong, who was rumored to be dating Sohee, explained, “Even after the dating rumors, Sohee and I still get along well and are not awkward with each other.” He then denied the rumors again saying, “I’m the type of person that likes girls whom I’ve been together for a while, but I’ve known Sohee ever since we were very young.” After hearing this, fellow member Changmin jealously commented, “But you still got to have one with Sohee.”

“I’m actually very close with Sunny,” he continued, hoping to have a scandal with the Girls’ Generation member. Seulong hilariously replied, “As a matter of fact, when the news of Sunny wearing a bikini surfaced, Changmin was happy.”

2AM’s Seulong once again confirms his affections for Shin Min Ah on ‘Strong Heart’

In the past, 2AM‘s Seulong has publicly admitted his ideal woman to be actress Shin Min Ah, and has just recently mentioned her as the actress he’d like to work with. Showing is undying devotion, the singer once again stated her name on this week’s episode of ‘Strong Heart’.

On the March 13th episode of SBS TV‘s ‘Strong Heart’, Seulong, who on a past episode admitted his ideal type to be Shin Min Ah, was asked if he was still a fan.

“I can never change my mind,” he said. “I think I became more of a fan since then.”

“Every time I get asked who my ideal type is, I always say Shin Min Ah,” he continued, unable to hide his feelings for her.

“I still don’t drink the brand of coffee she filmed a CF for with actor Won Bin. I started watching “My Girlfriend Is A Nine Tailed Fox” she filmed with Lee Seung Gi, but I honestly couldn’t finish it,” he said.

“I’m not an anti-fan of Lee Seung Gi, but after watching that, I wondered if Lee Seung Gi had anti-fans, and I looked it up online,” Seulong revealed, causing everyone on set to explode into laughs. Lee Seung Gi then hilariously responded, “Did the search results bring up the name Im Seulong?”

Entertainer Boom then questioned Seulong in regards to his recent scandal with Wonder Girls‘ member Sohee. “How has your relationship changed with Sohee?”, he asked, to which Seulong answered, “No changes,” suggesting the two were just close friends.

Seulong then sent a video message to Shin Min Ah, once again stating his wish to work with her on a future project.

2AM’s Seulong hopes to act with Shin Min Ah

On a recent episode of KBS Joy‘s ‘The Chair Korea 2‘, 2AM‘s Seulong chose Shin Min Ah as the actress he would most like to work with.

Seulong is known for his various activities in not only music, but acting and modeling as well. Still, his talents proved to be of little help in front of the pressing questions of MC Shin Dong Yeob, who promptly put him in the spotlight with questions that would make any idol shy away.

During their ‘OX Talk’, Seulong was asked whether he had a particular female celebrity in mind that he would like to act with. After some hesitation, he carefully replied, “I’d love to act with Shin Min Ah someday.” Shin Dong Yeob answered back, “She’s an actress that grew up beautifully.”

Seulong was also asked a series of questions like “Do you think 2AM is more popular than 2PM“ and “Do you have the numbers of female celebrities”, to which he replied yes to both.

2AM’s Seulong talks about his rumors with Wonder Girls’ Sohee

2AM‘s Seulong cleared up the rumors surrounding himself and Wonder Girls‘ member Sohee.

On the March 7th airing of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, the MCs questioned Seulong about his late-night Christmas dinner with Sohee.

“We’ve been close friends since we were younger, and so we very naturally met up to eat dinner. All the members know that we hang out,” he said.

“Christmas was a special occasion, and we were both free after our concert was over,” he continued. “We buy each other gifts on a regular basis.”

The MCs were then quick to point out that Seulong gave Sohee 4 shopping bags full of gifts. “3 of the 4 bags were full of snacks from Japan,” he explained.

And when asked why he was only close with Sohee out of all the members, he answered, “Sohee is an introvert, so she isn’t close to too many people. I’ve just been close to her since we were young.”

“I’m five years older than her, but she calls me ‘Yah’,” he added. “Because I’ve known her since she was a student, she and I are more like family.”
