Jo Kwon, “There’s a ghost wandering inside the building of JYPE”





2AM‘s Jo Kwon surprised the G6 members by revealing that there’s a ghost wandering around inside JYPE headquarters.


On the upcoming broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, guest Jo Kwon was teamed up with Suzy (miss A) and Sunny (Girls’ Generation) for farm work.


As they were busy digging up sweet potatoes, Jo Kwon spooked everyone as he began talking about his encounter with a ghost saying, “There’s a young male ghost wandering inside the building of JYPE and there’s a practice room where he’s always found.”


He recalled, “Every trainee who has gone down to that particular practice room has had experience of falling down that stairway, at least once.”


Upon hearing his encounter with the ghost, Suzy is said to have given goosebumps as she recalled the incident of almost falling down that same stairway.

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny to leave ‘Invincible Youth 2′





Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny is leaving the KBS 2TV variety program ‘Invincible Youth 2‘. The broadcast on July 7th KST will be her last.


A representative stated on the 6th, “Girls’ Generation’s Sunny will no longer appear on ‘Invincible Youth 2′ after the July 7th broadcast. Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon is remaining on the show.”


A SM Entertainment representative also announced on the same day, “It’s true that tomorrow’s broadcast will be the last time Sunny appears [as a cast member] on the program. This is something that was confirmed with the producers when she became part of the season 2 cast. As she was the only member from season 1, they agreed that she would stay on with season 2 until the program became somewhat stable.”


“It was decided that it was the right time for Sunny to leave the show as Lee Young Ja would be coming on as a new MC. After consulting with the producers, they decided that she would leave after the July 7th episode.”


Sunny joined season 1 of ‘Invincible Youth’ in October of 2009. She’s been a member of the second season’s G6 for eight months.

Stars attend ‘Deranged’ VIP movie premiere





A number of famous celebrities gathered on the night of July 4th to attend the VIP premiere of the movie ‘Deranged‘, held at the CGV Wangsimni IMAX theatre located in Haengdang-dong, Seoul.


Directed by Park Jung Woo, ‘Deranged’ is about a man trying to save his family from a widespread infectious disease carried by parasitic worms that induce the infected human to drown themselves.


Stars who attended included Sunny (Girls’ Generation), Bora (SISTAR), Shinhwa, Teen Top, Hello Venus, Joo Ji Hoon, Oh Yeon Seo, Park Kyung Lim, Seo Do Young, Park Jung Ah, Sim Eun Ji, Shin Hyun Joon, Son Tae Young, and Yoo In Young.

Suzy gets humiliated for her large feet on ‘Invincible Youth 2′





miss A‘s Suzy suffered a bit of humiliation on the June 30th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘.


Kim Shin Young, Girls’ Generation member Sunny, and Suzy stopped by at a local shoe store to purchase new pairs of rubber shoes.


As soon as it was Suzy’s turn to select her pair, Kim Shin Young asked, “What’s your foot size?” to which she confidently answered, “230 cm.” But when the store owner brought out her size, it was obviously too small for Suzy. Kim Shin Young then asked the store owner for a size 250 cm and commented with amusement, “It better fit this time.”


Embarrassed by the situation, Suzy remarked, “I’m never coming to a shoe store ever again!


Meanwhile, singer Baek Ji Young guested on this week’s episode to help the G6 members pick plums and make delicious dishes.

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny reveals she has never been in a relationship





Girls’ Generation member Sunny has revealed that she has never been in a relationship in her life.


On the June 30th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, Sunny expressed her envy of guest Baek Ji Young, who has gone public with her relationship with actor Jung Suk Won.


I have never been in a relationship,” Sunny said. “But I have been on a date. The most memorable date was when I was in middle school,” surprising Baek Ji Young and SISTAR‘s Bora.


Bora then asked Baek Ji Young to introduce her to a nice man, but Baek Ji Young replied saying, “I’ll have to ask your CEO first. However, I do believe that you guys should be allowed to date.”


Upon watching the broadcast, viewers left comments on the site’s message board saying, “Sunny has never been in a relationship? No way!“, “Poor Sunny“, and more.

Girls’ Generation’s Sunny gets called out for a ‘scandal’ on ‘Invincible Youth 2′





On the June 30th broadcast of KBS2TV‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, the G6 members reported on Girls’ Generation Sunny‘s “scandal” during their ‘Invincible Youth Relay’ corner.


Photos of Sunny and a mysterious person together caused MC Boom to question, “Isn’t this person wrapping his arm around your waist too tightly?” MC Kim Shin Young added, “100% dating,” while Yewon responded, “The rumors were true,” Bora: “That person’s back is familiar,” and Hyoyeon: “Wow, daebak.”


Kim Shin Young continued the accusations saying, “I’m sure that they’ve kissed.” Sunny finally explained that it was all just a misunderstanding as she revealed, “We’re family. It’s Amber of f(x).”


Suzy then remarked, “I was completely fooled,” making everyone laugh.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk has an awkward time at Seohyun’s birthday party

















Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk recently amused fans by leaving a series of live tweets from the scene of Seohyun‘s 22nd birthday party.


On June 26th, he began by writing, “Last night… I received a Kakao Talk message from Seohyun saying, ‘Oppa, what are you doing tomorrow night??’ I asked back, ‘Why, what’s up?’ Seohyun said, ‘I’m going to have a birthday party with some close friends!!^^’ I replied back, ‘Then why are you inviting me…’ Anyway, I headed there tonight to wish her a happy birthday. Unexpectedly, I ended up being the first person to arrive.”


In his next tweet with a picture of Seohyun pouring him a drink, he wrote, “We’re drinking juice… Suffocating awkwardness.”


The tweet was followed by a group photo with Kyuhyun, with Eunhyuk writing, “After 30 minutes, Kyuhyun arrived! Still kind of a weird combination. We tried to make it look like a bright environment.”


Finally, with the arrival of Heechul, Sooyoung, Jinwoon, and Amber, he wrote back to back, “Heenim and Sooyoung arrived!! It’s getting better. But where are Seohyun’s friends…” and “An hour after the promised time, Seohyun’s real friend Jinwoon and Amber arrived!! Seohyun, is this the group photo you were looking for?”


Eunhyuk wrapped up his night by finally writing,YoonA and Sunny arrived with cake!!!! This ended up being SuJu&SoShi&JYP Jinwoon kekeke. I left after that. I heard that Leeteuk and Changmin came after me. Anyway, happy birthday, Seohyun^^.”

Comedian Kim Young Min reveals his surprising connection to SM Entertainment





On the June 19th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘1 vs 100‘, comedian Kim Young Min revealed a surprising connection between him and Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny, who appeared as a guest on the show.


Kim Young Min revealed, “Honestly, before I became a comedian, I worked in the music industry. I was a recording director for Super Junior‘s debut album then, and I frequently saw Girls’ Generation members at the SM Entertainment office.


“I once came across Sunny in the office corridor, and she greeted me with a 90-degree bow. I even [answered informally] whenever she greeted me. But now I cannot do that.” He jokingly added, “In fact, I am the one who greets her with a 90-degree bow these days.”

Girls’ Generation fans celebrate YoonA’s birthday with a newspaper ad





Members from a Girl’s Generation fan club took out an ad in the local newspaper to celebrate the birthday of member YoonA.


Every year on May 30th, the Girl’s Generation fan club celebrates YoonA’s birthday and have nicknamed the day, ‘The Day of YoonA’s Birth’. They celebrate this day every year by either holding an event or taking out a newspaper ad.


On May 15th, the fan club also took out an ad for member Sunny to celebrate her birthday.


YoonA’s most recent drama, ‘Love Rain‘ aired its final episode on May 29th and she has plans to shift the focus back on her music career for the time being.

T-ara member Hyomin showed her cheerful nature on the set of KBS2‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2.’


On May 31, Hyomin posted to Twitter, “I came back from filming ‘Invincible Youth’. I don’t know how long it has been since I have laughed that much. I don’t think I need to worry about being edited out much. For real!“  She then tweeted a little later, “Ace!


The T-ara member took a photo with members from the first season of ‘Invincible Youth’, Girls’ Generation‘s SunnySECRET‘s Sunhwa, and comedian Kim Shin Young, posing like a power ranger.


Followers commented, “They are so beautiful even when they don’t dress up,” “Because Sunhwa and Hyomin are next to each other they seem like they are glowing,” and “Hyomin, happy belated birthday. Be strong today!

SISTAR‘s Bora recently uploaded a picture with Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny and f(x)‘s Amber.


On May 22nd, Bora tweeted, “I found my long forgotten family! My ‘Invincible Youth’ family. Soon Gyu, and Eun Young“, along with the picture above.


Amber emphasizes her playful characteristics as she sticks her tongue out while Sunny and Bora are both pouting at the camera.


All three girls were at MBC‘s ‘Korean Music Wave in Google‘ concert last night and the girls developed their friendship while appearing on KBS2 ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, but Amber recently stepped down from her place on the show in April.

Who is the champion of splits?





Many female celebrities have done the splits on screen, but who is the best?


Actress Ha Ji Won surprised viewers with her 180-degree split on MBC‘s drama ‘The King 2 Hearts‘. On episode 18, the actress did a split as she exercised before attempting a prison break.


Han Ga In also stretched her legs on the March 28th episode of SBS‘s ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘. The beautiful actress lied on the floor and did a full split, surprising many viewers with her flexibility, and making some fans jealous of husband Yun Jung Hoon.


There are also many girl group members who seem to be confident when it comes to splits. The public is already well aware of f(x)‘s Victoria, who has shown her incredible flexibility on various variety shows. Victoria, who studied traditional Chinese dance in the past, is able to do unbelievable splits beyond 180 degrees.


SISTAR did “high-kick” choreography for their track “How Dare You“. All four members were capable of doing the “high-kick” dance, which impressed many fans.


miss A‘s Fei and Jia are also known to be the split masters of their group. On SBS‘s ‘Star King‘, Jia challenged f(x)’s Victoria to determine the real champion of splits. Fei and Min have also been known for their capability of doing difficult choreography.


Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri, Sunny, Hyoyeon, Jessica, 2NE1‘s Minzy, singer Lee So Eun seem to have proven their ability to do splits as well.

Singer Fawney addresses rumors surrounding the reason she wasn’t able to join Girls’ Generation





Singer Fawney (Lee Hwan Hee) opened up about why she was not able to become a Girls’ Generation‘s member.


During a recent interview, Fawney shared, “I think I was in an uncertain position. I don’t think I was as good of a dancer as the rest of the Girls’ Generation members nor really eye-catching and pretty.


Widely known as the best friend of Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Fawney had been a SM trainee for 7 years since 2002 but wasn’t chosen to be a Girls’ Generation’s member in the end. With her debut and release of her first single recently, there had been rumors springing up that she was not able to become a member of the group because of Lee Soo Man‘s niece, Sunny. Thus through this interview, Fawney hoped to clear up rumors and explain that it wasn’t Sunny’s fault, but rather due to, what she believes to be, her own personal flaws.


Meanwhile, Fawney recently released her digital single, “Secret“, and made her official debut as a singer.

Sunny Hill’s Jubi cast in drama ‘I Love Lee Tae Ri’ with Super Junior’s Kim Kibum





Sunny Hill member Jubi will be debuting as an actress with her casting in tvN‘s ‘I Love Lee Tae Ri‘.


‘I Love Lee Tae Ri’ will air its first broadcast on May 28th after ‘Marriage Plot‘. Jubi is cast as a hyper idol group leader, Ha Soon Sim.


‘I Love Lee Tae Ri’ is about a 14 year old boy, Geum Eun Dong, agin rapidly, transforming into the body of a 25 year old. The fantasy romance recounts the story of Geum Eun Dong falling in love with the charming heiress, Lee Tae Ri.


Park Ye Jin and Super Junior‘s Kim Kibum will be the main leads of the drama. The screenwriter of ‘Style‘, Moon Ji Young, and director of ‘Shinsukki Blues‘, Kim Do Hyuk, will be in charge of producing the drama.


tvN’s new Monday-Tuesday drama will air its pilot episode on May 28th.

Fans of Kyuhyun and Sunny donate 7.6 tons of rice for ‘Catch Me If You Can’







On March 28th, the press call for the musical ‘Catch Me If You Can‘ opened up to a heartwarming start with rice donations from fans of Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun and Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny.


Fans from all over the world sent in wreaths of rice totaling to 7.6 tons. Fans of Super Junior from China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, and Malaysia sent in a total of 3.64 tons. Super Junior have reportedly donated up to 10 tons of rice to charity since 2007. Girls’ Generation fans from China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, the States, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand donated an additional 3.809 tons.


Representatives of the charity organization stated, “Fans of Kyuhyun and Sunny had rice pre-ordered about a month ago. Becaues there wasn’t enough room at the performance hall to put up all of the rice wreaths, they left message board letters up.”


The rice bags will be donated to the needy.

SNSD members Sunny & Hyoyeon deny rumors of leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′





Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon have been rumored to be leaving KBS 2TV‘s variety show, ‘Invincible Youth 2‘.


However on March 27th, a Girls’ Generation representative informed MyDaily, “Girls’ Generation members Sunny and Hyoyeon will not be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′.”


These rumors came not only as a surprise to the staff members, but to us as well,” the rep continued.


‘Invincible Youth 2′ is expected to undergo some restructuring, switching out a few of the G8 members among other changes.


Of the 3 MCs, Boom will be staying on the program while Lee Soo Geun and Ji Hyun Woo have decided to leave after some discussion with the staff members.


Lee Soo Geun is leaving the show to spend some more time with his wife who is ill, and Ji Hyun Woo wants to focus on his new tvN drama in which he has been recently cast as a male lead.


But the G8 members including f(x)‘s Amber, Jewelry‘s Yewon, Rainbow‘s Woori, Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon, KARA‘s Kang Jiyoung, SISTAR‘s Bora, and miss A’s Suzy have not yet made official decisions as whether to stay or leave the show.


Until now, ‘Invincible Youth 2′ aired every Saturday at 11PM KST, but starting on April 7th, the show will begin airing every Saturday at 5:15PM KST, competing with MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘.

SNSD Sunny named ‘Best Brain Idol’ on ‘Invincible Youth 2′






Girls’ Generation‘s Sunny has earned the title of ‘Best Brain Idol’ on the latest filming of ‘Invincible Youth 2′.

When the cast arrived for the filming, they were handed out exams containing questions on knowledge taught in elementary school (1st grade through 6th grade).

The members were unable to hide their shock as they found themselves unable to answer some of the questions on the test, despite it being an elementary school academic standards test.

However one member, Sunny, seemed unfazed as she easily solved through each problem – leaving everyone in awe at her calm approach and ability to solve through the problems.

When the exams were graded, many of the members’ papers were filled with blanks and wrong answers. However, Sunny showed her ability to work through some of the more challenging mathematical calculations involving fractions, and as a result, achieved the best score out of all the members.

Girls’ Generation member Sunny shares her thoughts on being a solo MC for ‘Music Island’







Girls’ Generation member Sunny expressed her thoughts on being a solo MC for the very first time.


Sunny attended the SBS MTVMusic Island‘ press conference that was held at the Jeju Grand Hotel on February 14th and said, “I will work to serve as a bridge for Hallyu and the world.”


The program will be aired in more than 8 countries worldwide, and I think it will help build more awareness for K-POP,” she continued. “As a member of Girls’ Generation who benefits from the K-POP phenomenon, I will work harder to do bigger things on the program. I will do my best to lead the program to success.”


In regards to being a solo MC for the first time she said, “I’m actually very nervous to be a solo MC for the first time. I will be with many audience members and guests. I am both excited and nervous waiting for the first shoot to take place.”


SBS MTV program director Kim Chang Woo also said, “There are a lot of music programs out there but they lack variety for the most part. But ‘Music Island’ aims for a high-class live music show.”


The idol stars at the forefront of this K-POP phenomenon will lead the show live for the most part, and we are excited for a mix of live K-pop and a talk show,” he continued. “The program will be aired in over 8 different countries and will available in 250,000,000 households.”


The first broadcast of ‘Music Island’ will feature stars such as IU, MBLAQ, FT Island, Dal Shabet, Jung Yeob, Rainbow, Block B, Lim Jung Hee, and Sunny Hill, and will airon February 29th at 8:00PM in countries such as Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines.

Girl’s Generation member Sunny has shocked netizens with her sexy see-through concert attire.


An online community board post titled, ‘Sunny’s provocative attire shows off her curvy body‘ recently surfaced with the two photos seen above. Sunny, who is known for her cute image, is shown while performing at a Girls’ Generation concert wearing a see-through top and a hot pink jacket.


Netizens have responded to the photo by writing, “SNSD become so sexy at their concerts“, “I’ve never seen this side of Sunny!“, and “Absolute bagel girl (baby face + glamorous body)“.


Recently, the Girls’ Generation members picked Sunny as the member who cares the least about her appearance, which made these photos all the more surprising.
