Huh Gak’s Facebook account gets hacked

Huh Gak has deleted his previous Facebook account after being hacked.

On August 10th, Huh Gak found out about his account being hacked and immediately deleted his account from the popular social networking service. He made sure to alert fans before going ahead with the deletion by writing, “Facebook hacking is scary. I’m deleting my Facebook!”

The reason he was able to catch on so quickly was because his phone number was hooked up to the account. The hacker had used his number to send mass spam texts to associates of Huh Gak.

His agency will be submitting the case to cyber investigations. Meanwhile, Huh Gak has created a new Facebook account to take the place of his old one.

Huh Gak hospitalized for Achilles tendon injury

Soloist Huh Gak has been revealed to be currently going through treatment at the hospital due to an injury with his right Achilles tendon.

“He hurt his right ankle and was hospitalized on the 11th,” revealed his company, A Cube Entertainment. “Earlier this month, he fell down while walking down the street. He didn’t think much of it at first, but the pain continued so he visited the hospital.”

“After receiving an examination, the doctors agreed that he needed treatment for his right Achilles tendon,” the company said. “Since he is not actively promoting, his schedule allowed it so he entered a hospital close by his home.”

“He has a half-cast on, it’s not an injury to be too worried over,” A Cube noted. “He is scheduled to stay in the hospital for about a week, and will leave after then.”

Get better soon, Huh Gak!

Huh Gak to release “One Person” for ‘Big’ OST

On June 25th, Huh Gak will be releasing a new song for KBS‘s drama, ‘Big‘!

Titled “One Person“, the song has already become a hit since it was first heard in the second episode of the drama. As it is his first OST release in a while since his participation in ‘The Greatest Love‘ OST, the easy melody and his deep, soulful voice immediately captured the ears and attention of music fans everywhere.

The song is a traditional ballad produced by Phat Music, a team of composers who’ve previously worked on songs like Taeyeon‘s “If” and Davichi’s “Because It’s You“. Huh Gak’s voice melts perfectly with the lyrics of the song, which tell the story of a man pining over his lover.

Huh Gak expressed, “I’ve been watching the drama since its first episode. Since it’s my first OST in a while, I hope that people will take an interest in both ‘One Person’ and ‘Big’.”

Stay tuned for its release!

Huh Gak praises Busker Busker’s new wrap up album

Singer Huh Gak praised Busker Busker‘s new wrap up album.

The singer, who was the winner of season 2 of Mnet‘s ‘Superstar K‘, is showing his public support for Busker Busker, who came in second place on ‘Superstar K‘ season 3.

On June 21st, Huh Gak wrote via his official Twitter page, “Busker Busker. Simply amazing… [They are such an awesome group].”

The ‘Busker Busker 1st Wrap Up Album‘ contains five tracks in all, including their title track “If You Really Love Me“. The title song was initially planned to be included in their debut album released this past March, but was removed because it did not fit the ‘spring’ concept of the album. The group then decided to release all the songs that were not included through a wrap up album.

Currently, all five of the songs on the album are achieving an ‘all-kill’ on various music portal sites with “If You Really Love Me” leading. Busker Busker made an outstanding debut with their successful first album, and now it seems that they will continue making a huge impact on the music scene.

Meanwhile, Busker Busker will perform songs from ‘Busker Busker 1st Wrap Up Album’ at their ‘Youth Bus‘ encore concerts taking place on the 22nd and 23rd.

TVXQ, Super Junior, B2ST, 2PM, & more to be featured in ’2012 K-pop Star Entertain Art Show’

Artwork featuring popular K-pop stars will soon become available for the public to see!

Starting June 23rd until August 19th, the Engagement Company, headed by Park Jae Shin, will hold its first art exhibit, titled ’2012 K-pop Star Entertain Art Show’, in the Korean International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) located in Ilsan. The art show will aim to attract both domestic and foreign Hallyu fans with its K-pop inspired paintings.

The artists have attempted to paint realistic, photo-like images of the K-pop stars using the “trompe-l’oeil technique”, a French technique that involves creating an optical illusion so that 2D images appear to be 3D ones. The application of such techniques can be seen in both the 2PM and Son Dam Bi examples provided. The K-pop artists depicted seem to be coming out of the pictures rather than remaining confined within the frames.

There will be three different sections within the art show, including a star zone, a themed zone, and a special zone. The star zone will feature the portraits of 19 artists, including TVXQ, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, f(x), KARA, CNBLUE, B2ST, Baek Ji Young, Im Jae bum, Yoon Do Hyun, Kim Jang Hoon, Huh Gak, and more across a total of 110 pieces. The Engagement Company has made sure to gain permission via signed contracts from the entertainment labels to use each celebrity’s image for the art show.

The special zone will feature pop artists like Mary Kim, Charles Jang, Artnom, and The Jack, who will be presenting K-pop star related pop art projects through this special showcase.

Representatives of the art show commented, “We will provide a special kind of entertainment bordering between reality and illusion for the Korean fans as well as international fans of Hallyu.”

Tickets to the show can be booked in advance at the Interpark website.

Will any of you be in Korea this summer to enjoy a water fight with 2PM and interact with your favorite stars? Or at least, painted versions of them?

Huh Gak reveals his height on ‘Immortal Song 2′

Singer Huh Gak revealed he was 5’3″ (163cm) tall during an interview with fellow contestant Ailee on ‘Immortal Song 2‘.

Ailee asked Huh Gak, “Is there anything you want to know about me by any chance?” He answered jokingly, “There’s nothing I’m curious about. The internet tells me everything. I’ve already looked you up. Age, legal name, agency, etc., I know everything. I’m not curious.”

He went on, “Do you want to know anything about me?” She replied by asking, “How tall are you, Huh Gak?”

Huh Gak seemed taken aback by the bold question as he responded, “Ailee, why are you doing this to me? I’m 5’3″ (163cm).” Ailee was surprised by his height, responding, “Really? I’m 163cm,” and measuring her height against his.

After the two compared how tall they were while barefoot, they high-fived each other after finding out they were basically the same height.

Huh Gak denies rumors suggesting he was a gangster

Singer Huh Gak responded to the rumors that suggested he and his brother were a part of ‘jopok‘ (Korean organized crime association) in Incheon.

On the May 23rd broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, the MCs asked Huh Gak, “There’s a rumor that says you were once a member of the Incheon jopok. Is it true that you and your brother Huh Gong were twin delinquents?

Huh Gak answered, “Not at all. Ever since my brother was little, he sang all across Incheon, and also received many requests to sing at weddings. I think he couldn’t refuse the requests [for the jopok weddings] because they were for such happy events. I think that’s where these rumors stemmed from.

He continued, “After debuting as a singer, I did receive many offers to sing at the weddings of jopok members, but I never took up any of them.

Viewers expressed their feelings, stating, “Huh Gak must be busy clarifying all these rumors,” “So I guess the rumors weren’t true,” and “Huh Gak must have had a hard time because of these rumors.”

Other stars guesting on this episode of ‘Radio Star’ included Seo In Guk, Son Jin Young, and Goo Ja Myung.

Super Junior’s Kyuhyun jokingly teased for losing the #1 spot to Huh Gak

Kyuhyun explained why Huh Gak was able to triumph Super Junior for the #1 spot in the past.

On the May 16th episode of MBCRadio Star‘, MC Yoo Sae Yoon introduced guest Huh Gak, stating, “He is the first ‘Super Star K’ alumnus to triumph Super Junior for the #1 spot.”

All in good fun of getting the maknae MC riled up, Yoo Sae Yoon then faced Kyuhyun and teased, “You lost?” Yoon Jong Shin joined in on the joke stating, “I heard they got obliterated,” evoking laughter amongst the guests.

Kyuhyun tried to explain patiently, “It happened when we started promoting our follow-up song after “Mr.Simple” had been #1 for five weeks straight.” However, he soon lost his composure as he blurted, “5 weeks is a lot too… what more do you want!” causing everyone to continue roaring in laughter over the hilarious banter.

Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung has a rocky start to her MC debut on “Immortal Song 2″

Kang Min Kyung made her MC debut stage on May 12th’s airing of KBS‘ “Immortal Song 2“. Although she has appeared on the show before, she looked nervous since this was her first time being on stage as an MC.

Her nerves were shown through her ‘out of the blue’ questions. Not paying attention to the flow of the show, she asked questions that came to her mind such as asking about “thoughts on having the first stage” and “thoughts after seeing a performance.

Even the veteran MCs Jun Hyun Moo and Moon Hee Jun seemed thrown off by her mc-ing style.

But this wasn’t all. Kang Min Kyung interviewed the guests too quickly and the other MCs asked her, “Why are you interviewing them so quickly” and Kang Min Kyung pointed at Sonya at the other side of the room as she answered, “I wanted to get a chance to interview Sonya.”

The guests couldn’t help but laugh as Kang Min Kyung chose to interview one by one instead of directly addressing the person she wanted to interview in the first place.

Although she has proven herself as an artist, she was still a rookie MC and seemed a little tense as she spoke very clearly.

The others laughed as she enunciated every words as she asked Sung Hoon, who has been maintaining his undefeated title for 5 weeks in a row, “I’m excited for what Sung Hoon will show on stage today.”

It was a little awkward since it was her first time, but the viewers could see that MC Kang Min Kyung was trying hard. The show became more entertaining thanks to her awkward mc-ing and her hate-love romance with Huh Gak.

Huh Gak reveals he received an apology from Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung

Huh Gak recently revealed that he received an apology from Davichi‘s Kang Min Kyung.

If you remember, on a previous airing of KBS‘ ‘Hong Jin Kyung’s 2:00‘, DJ Hong Jin Kyung asked Kang Min Kyung if a relationship would be possible between her and Huh Gak, as his crush on her has been made quite well known through Immortal Song 2. Kang Min Kyung quickly interjected, “No thanks,” barely giving the DJ a chance to finish.

Hearing the news later on, Huh Gak stated that he had no interest in dating her either.

On the May 10th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Huh Gak was asked if his response was made out of anger, and the singer answered, “I was more upset that people would talk about things like that without even asking what I thought and in a place where I wasn’t present.”

After that aired, Kang Min Kyung personally called me and said that she was really sorry,” he continued. “I told her it was okay, and that I had no interest in dating her either.

When asked why he told her he had no interest, Huh Gak responded, “It was because my feelings were hurt, I didn’t mean that I didn’t like herWho would say no if Kang Min Kyung asked to date?”, lightening the mood.

Other guests who featured on this episode were K.Will and Na Yoon Kwon.

Huh Gong once dated a girl who mistook him for his twin brother, Huh Gak

Singer Huh Gak was outraged hearing his brother Huh Gong‘s surprising confession.

On the May 7th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Come To Play‘, ‘Voice Korea‘ contestant Huh Gong admitted, “My brother was scheduled to stand on an amateur stage before his debut, but he was very sick.”

If he did not stand on stage, he would have had to forego his pay, so I stood on that stage pretending to be him,” he continued.

The problem was what happened afterwards.

A female student came up to me and told me that she was always cheering me on, and handed me a gift,” he said. But Huh Gong who was captivated by her beauty decided that he wanted to date her.

Surprisingly enough, she expressed her feelings for me first and we began dating, but she soon found out that Huh Gak had a twin brother and uncovered the truth,” he explained.

Long story short, the relationship came to an abrupt end.

The real Huh Gak who was shocked by his twin brother’s confession remarked, “I remember her. I was an amateur, but she came to cheer me on everyday. I’m so grateful to her, but my brother took advantage of her kindness.

Huh Gak can’t hide his excitement after finally meeting Suzy

Huh Gak could not contain his enthusiasm after finally having the opportunity to meet miss A‘s Suzy.

On May 3rd, Huh Gak left a post on his Twitter page expressing his excitement, saying, “Finally… it was only for a little while, but still, I got to say hi to Suzy-nim.

Huh Gak is the winner of Mnet‘s ‘Superstar K2‘ singing audition program. Because he was able to reach his status as a musician only recently through the show, he was unable to meet other celebrities like many other training singers. He seemed especially excited to finally meet Suzy, who’s been given the nickname “icon of love at first sight” because many male celebrities have confessed developing a crush after seeing her for the first time.

In related news, Suzy recently wrapped up promotions for miss A’s album ‘Touch‘, and has also won the “Best Female Rookie Actress” award with her role in ‘Introduction to Architecture.’
