JYJ Junsu’s “Uncommitted” MV ranks 1st on China’s YinYueTai Chart

JYJ Junsu‘s first English single has been gaining massive popularity since its release.

On August 17th, Junsu’s urban, R&B track “Uncommitted” was revealed, and since then, the singer has been receiving much love and support on music portal sites and YouTube.

On China’s version of YouTube, YinYueTai, Junsu beat out Super Junior and Psy, placing first with his “Uncommitted” music video with over 3.28 million views.

C-JeS Entertainment said, “It is hard to access YouTube in China, so YinYueTai Chart is the most reliable way to see which music videos are trending. Also, “Tarantallegra” is ranked 7th even though three months have passed since its release so we can truly feel Junsu’s popularity.

The JYJ member reached massive success as a solo singer with the release of his first solo album in May and became an international star by ranking on music charts in America, Germany, Chile, and China. His single ‘Uncommitted’ has also proven to be a success by ranking first on Korean music charts and on Japan’s iTunes.

He’s currently preparing for a world tour starting in New York on August 30th, after which he will continue onto other venues in North America, South America, and Europe.

Junsu’s success is even more impressive because he achieved this success despite not promoting on radio or television broadcasts.

His single is available through music portal sites and will be available offline starting from August 23rd.

Details on JYJ’s Junsu upcoming solo repackaged album released

More details on JYJ Junsu‘s upcoming repackaged solo album have been revealed.

Composer Automatic expressed, “I was surprised by XIA, as he’s someone who truly sings from the heart. I thought we’d need two days for his recording process, but we really only needed one. Throughout the recording, I couldn’t help but be impressed by his skills. I’m really glad to be able to work with him.”

His music video will also be a collaboration with top names. Directed by Marc Klasfeld, who has experience producing for “We are Young“, which was a recent Billboard hit, along with Beyonce, Eminem, Jay-Z, and Far East Movement. He stated, “I was surprised when I saw XIA’s music video for ‘Tarantallegra’. His performance was amazing, as is the same with his facial expressions and acting. I’m looking forward to working with him.”

Junsu himself expressed, “I earned a lot of confidence after releasing my worldwide album and going on a world tour. I feel that my confidence will build towards even better results. I’m glad that I’m working with such amazing people.”

Fans faint during JYJ member Junsu’s first solo concert

On May 19th, JYJ‘s Junsu successfully kicked off his first solo concert, ‘XIA – 1st Asia Tour in Seoul‘, with an audience of 8,000 fans!

C-JeS Entertainment revealed, “The concert was an absolute success to the point that fans just couldn’t bear to leave the concert hall nearly two hours after the concert had already come to an end. There were a lot of fans that fainted in the middle of the concert, so we’re going to have ambulances on standby for today’s concert in advance.”

Fans from Korea, Japan, China, Malaysia, Canada, Chile, France, and other parts of the world flew in for the special two-day concert. Representatives commented, “Fans from all over the world came to congratulate Junsu’s first solo concert.”

Junsu’s ‘Tarantallegra’ attains massive success in Japan

Junsu‘s (XIA) solo album ‘Tarantallegra‘ is receiving an explosive reaction in Japan.

On May 18th, CJES Entertainment revealed, “XIA’s first solo album has taken the #1 spot on Japan’s Itunes. What is even more surprising it that he surpassed Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber to receive the #1 spot, proving XIA’s massive popularity in Japan.”

Pre-orders for ‘Tarantallegra’ grabbed first place at Tower Records Japan as soon as the release date of Junsu’s album was announced earlier this month, and the album completely sold out on the day of its release. Junsu’s solo album also snagged the #1 spot for sales in Japan’s Rakuten and Amazon site.

A music official from Japan stated, “After the explosive amount of pre-order sales, the album is now becoming a scarcity. This is even more surprising because Junsu has not had any activities in Japan lately.

A representative of CJES Entertainment said, “Japan’s response towards XIA’s first album is really hot. The Japanese public has been looking forward to Junsu’s music and performances, I think it is because of Junsu’s solid fan base in Japan. Another reason why this album is gaining so much popularity is because it’s compelling in that it attempts to be exceptional and sensational at the same time. It’s just a well-made album derived from Junsu’s own skill.

In related news, ‘Tarantallegra’ is also running short in stock on Korean online sites, and gaining many favorable reviews.

JYJ’s Junsu discusses his thoughts on releasing his solo album, ‘Tarantallegra’

On May 16th, JYJ‘s Junsu attended a press conference for the release of ‘Tarantallegra‘ and shared his thoughts on producing his first solo album.

Junsu expressed, “For the first time in eight years, I’ve released my very own solo album under the name XIA. There was the pressure of having to fill an entire album with only my voice, but I’m proud that I was able to try the genres I’ve always wanted to, with a concept I personally came up with.”

The ‘Tarantallegra’ album is comprised of 12 tracks, and 8 of them are personal compositions by Junsu. Rappers Gaeko, Flowsik, and Bizzy are also featured in the album, while fellow JYJ member Jaejoong gifted him with track “No Gain“, which is a nice balance between the ballads and dance tracks.

Junsu continued, “The album was inevitably a tiring production, because I was making it under the notion of knowing that I could not promote it on broadcast shows, but that’s why I paid more attention to the quality of my music video and the album itself. Fortunately, I was left with a lot more freedom of expression.”

XIA will be holding a solo concert on the 19th and 20th.
