Tony An overcomes possible elimination on ‘Dancing with the Stars 2′

A few months ago, Tony An expressed that he felt burdened by Moon Hee Jun‘s dancing skills. Recently, however, he revealed that Moon Hee Jun’s encouragement played a great role in helping him conquer the potential of being eliminated on ‘Dancing with the Stars 2′.

On June 13th, Tony An stated on his Twitter, “Last week I experienced the danger of elimination, and now, I’m [putting my all] into practicing in order to survive. Hee Jun visited during practice and gave me a lot of advice as well, thank you Hee Jun~! And so, I will try my hardest in order to improve. I can’t play around and have fun as much anymore. I will do my best!”

On June 8th, Tony An danced to a track from the OST of the movie ‘Dirty Dancing’, showing a passionate samba performance on the program. Although he successfully pulled off a difficult lift move, his poor condition led to a less-than-ideal performance. His facial expressions were cited as a concern among other flaws, and he ended up almost being eliminated.

Netizens commented on Tony An’s situation, saying, “But the samba stage was really cool,” “Now [we really get to see] the ability of the remaining participants,” “Have strength,” “But [he did] the ‘lifting’ movement well, and [I thought he did] okay,” “Tony An, hwaiting,” “It’s nice to see [Tony An and Hee Jun's] friendship,” and “His resolution is impressive.”

Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung has a rocky start to her MC debut on “Immortal Song 2″

Kang Min Kyung made her MC debut stage on May 12th’s airing of KBS‘ “Immortal Song 2“. Although she has appeared on the show before, she looked nervous since this was her first time being on stage as an MC.

Her nerves were shown through her ‘out of the blue’ questions. Not paying attention to the flow of the show, she asked questions that came to her mind such as asking about “thoughts on having the first stage” and “thoughts after seeing a performance.”

Even the veteran MCs Jun Hyun Moo and Moon Hee Jun seemed thrown off by her mc-ing style.

But this wasn’t all. Kang Min Kyung interviewed the guests too quickly and the other MCs asked her, “Why are you interviewing them so quickly” and Kang Min Kyung pointed at Sonya at the other side of the room as she answered, “I wanted to get a chance to interview Sonya.”

The guests couldn’t help but laugh as Kang Min Kyung chose to interview one by one instead of directly addressing the person she wanted to interview in the first place.

Although she has proven herself as an artist, she was still a rookie MC and seemed a little tense as she spoke very clearly.

The others laughed as she enunciated every words as she asked Sung Hoon, who has been maintaining his undefeated title for 5 weeks in a row, “I’m excited for what Sung Hoon will show on stage today.”

It was a little awkward since it was her first time, but the viewers could see that MC Kang Min Kyung was trying hard. The show became more entertaining thanks to her awkward mc-ing and her hate-love romance with Huh Gak.

Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon and Tony An to join the cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars 2′

Girls’ Generation member Hyoyeon will be making an appearance on ‘Dancing with the Stars- Season 2‘.

Hyoyeon will be joining the cast of MBC‘s ‘Dancing with the Stars- Season 2‘, which will air its first episode on April 27th. A representative from MBC revealed, “Hyoyeon has decided to appear on the show, and is busy practicing for it. Fans will be able to see a new side to Hyoyeon through her appearance on the show.”

Hyoyeon, who is known as being one of the best dancers in Girls’ Generation, has even the show’s staff members placing high expectations on her performances. A source close to Hyoyeon stated, “As the expectations for her dancing are very high, she is practicing very hard. Rather than the exact choreography she has executed through her performances with Girls’ Generation, she will show a more carefree dancing style on the show.”

In addition to Hyoyeon, Tony An has also joined the cast of ‘Dancing With the Stars 2′. The first season of the show saw Moon Hee Jun, a fellow H.O.T. member, crowned as the victor, so there is a lot of interest to see if idols like Tony An and Hyoyeon, who have spent numerous years learning the basics of dance, will outperform the other cast members.

The first episode of ‘Dancing With the Stars 2′ was already recorded at Seoul Olympic Park’s Olympic Hall on the 15th, and will air on the 27th; the first live episode will air on May 4th.’
