Super Junior’s Yesung reveals he entered a singing contest to impress his crush

Super Junior‘s Yesung revealed that his road to becoming a singer was influenced by his crush.

On the July 30th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Yesung shared a memory about his first major crush and music when he began, ”When I was in junior high, I went on a school trip… I got on the bus, and there was a really pretty girl that caught my eye.”

“For the first time in my life, I had thoughts like ‘Wow, she is so pretty’ and ‘I want to see her again’ running through my head,” he continued. “To be honest, I was never the type of student that liked to stand in front of others. I had never even sung in public before.”

But after meeting his first love, Yesung set out to make a decision that would change his future. “I wanted to look good in front of her, so I decided to enter a singing competition. I won first place and won snacks as a prize, so I asked my friend to deliver the snacks to the girl,” he explained.

Yesung also added, “I listened to Lim Chang Jung‘s “In My Embrace” over and over again to sing at the contest,” and sang a portion of the song during the filming, captivating the MCs and staff on set.

After School’s Raina doesn’t know how she once woke up naked?

On July 23rd, After School‘s Raina guested on Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘ and revealed that she had once woken up naked without herself knowing.

Singer/actor Tak Jae Hoon first brought up the subject by revealing that his preferred article of clothing for bed time was his birthday suit.

Raina replied by revealing, “I don’t wear much to bed myself. I once woke up completely naked, and I still don’t know how that happened. I found myself lying on my bed naked when I woke up.”

The MCs couldn’t help but ask if she had gone to bed drunk, to which she flatly denied, “No. I really don’t know why.”

Her roommate and fellow member Nana added, “I don’t remember seeing her taking off her clothes to sleep. As for myself, I find it uncomfortable wearing my underwear to bed.”

After School’s Jooyeon shares her opinion on the ‘spread leg dance’ in “Flashback” choreography

The ‘spread leg dance’ from After School‘s “Flashback” choreography received some flak for being too sexually suggestive for TV earlier on, and in response, Jooyeon shared her opinion while guesting on Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

On the July 23rd episode, MC Shindong brought up the topic of the dance when he stated, “There are differing opinions on [the dance], with some thinking that it’s sexy and others thinking that it’s embarrassing to watch.”

Jooyeon replied, “We don’t think it’s weird at all. We think it looks cool… It’s a hard dance because you have to sit down low making it hard to maintain balance,” expressing her pride in the choreography the members worked hard to perfect.

Yesung reveals that Super Junior doesn’t think Siwon is the most popular in the group

On the July 23rd episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Yesung revealed that the Super Junior members did not consider Siwon to be the most popular in the group.

The MCs began the segment by asking the members what they thought the secret to their popularity was, to which Eunhyuk and Shindong replied much to the amusement of the studio, “Because we’re handsome.”

Eunhyuk added, “Out of Super Junior, Siwon is the most handsome.”

Yesung actually began shaking his head upon Eunhyuk’s statement and said instead, “Everyone says that Siwon is the most handsome, which I also agree with, but he’s not that popular.”

Surprised, the MCs asked back, “What do you mean he’s not popular?” Yesung replied, “If you take a vote within Super Junior, he always ends up in the bottom half.”

The other members agreed and nodded when Eunhyuk continued, “I always rank at the top within Super Junior votes.”

Yesung couldn’t help but shake his head to that as well, claiming that Eunhyuk actually ranked in the middle and that it was himself who always ranked in the top two or three. The other members teased him by shouting in disagreement.

Ryeowook thinks Eunhyuk’s looks rank low in Super Junior?

Super Junior‘s Ryeowook stated on the July 23rd broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatle’s Code 2‘, that he thinks Eunhyuk ranks low in appearances within Super Junior. The group recently placed first on Mnet, only within a week of their comeback with ‘Sexy, Free, and Single‘.

In the episode, as soon as the members sat down, they had already started bantering playfully when they started talking about popularity and rankings within the group. When asked about appearances, Ryeowook stated, “I think Eunhyuk hyung and I rank relatively low in the group‘, which surprised Eunhyuk.

In response, Eunhyuk said, “I’m not exceptionally good-looking, but I honestly don’t think I place low in looks. Ryeowook does!” making everyone on the set laugh. Ryeowook, unable to let the statement go, shot back jokingly, “Even now, I still get surprised by Eunhyuk when he doesn’t have make-up on.” Unfazed, Eunhyuk went on to bring up Ryeowook’s past photos and how shocking they are, continuing the cute Tom-and-Jerry-like banter.

Known for being extremely close and tight-knit as a group, Super Junior revealed that even they have fights occasionally, stating, “We fight more because we are so close.” They also revealed that the member who gets in arguments the most is none other than group maknae, Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun, they said, likes to joke around with the other members and make fun of them. The group also revealed that leader Leeteuk has only ever fought with Eunhyuk.

After School’s UEE reveals that her first kiss was with a fellow trainee on ‘Beatles Code 2′

After School‘s UEE has revealed who her first kiss was with on Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, surprising the viewers, whom had believed her first kiss was with actor Yoo Seung Ho.

On the July 16th broadcast, which featured the members of After School and singer Tak Jae Hoon, the emcees asked the singer, “It says that you had your first kiss with a fellow trainee when you were in your 2nd year of high school?”

To this, UEE nodded and explained, “He did debut, but he’s no longer active.” The singer then confessed that all the members from her former group ‘Five Girls‘ knows the identity of this mysterious man.

‘Five Girls’ which consisted of After School’s UEE, Wonder Girls‘ Yubin, Secret‘s Hyosung, G.NA, and Jiwon, were unable to debut in 2007 due to various reasons and ended up disbanding.

In related news, UEE is currently busy promoting with After School for their latest single, “Flashback“.

Infinite’s L revealed to have the highest income among the members

Infinite recently revealed L as the member with the highest income on Mnet ‘Beatle’s Code 2‘.

Woohyun stated, “L is known as the member who buys a lot of good food for the staff members too.”

To this L shyly stated, “I feel like you need to give back as much as you gain. Besides, even if I make the most it is only 10,000 won (8.755 USD) more.”

However, to the question about ranking the members according to their good looks, L stated he was “rank 0″. When he quickly changed his answer by saying, “I don’t think you can rank the members according to the looks because each member has his own charm“, Jaehoon stated, “You keep changing your answers so I’m not sure which one is your true self.”

Also during the episode, Dongwoo revealed the story behind his candy kiss, the famous kiss from the drama ’Iris’, with his “nuna” from the dance school. He caused quite the commotion in the studio when he revealed that the nuna had prepared the bag of candy for their kiss.

Krystal of f(x) doesn’t think her face stands out?

f(x)‘s Krystal revealed that she has a humble opinion of her own physical appearance.

On the July 2nd broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, MC Tak Jae Hoon compared Krystal and her older sister Jessica of Girls’ Generation asking, “Who do you think is prettier?”

Krystal responded without hesitation: “Unni,” referring to Jessica. Tak Jae Hoon then jokingly remarked, “We think she’s prettier too,” only to later add, “I personally think Krystal’s more pretty.”

The f(x) member wasn’t falling for it as she pointed out, “You just said that Jessica unni’s prettier,” and the MC explained, “That’s just the popular opinion, I think you’re prettier.”

Krystal then surprised the MC panel revealing, “I won’t acknowledge that. To be honest, I have a very common face. People have said, ‘Krystal has the kind of face that you can see at any random middle school or high school’.”

Sohee of the Wonder Girls, who also featured as guests on the episode, commented, “I don’t have a common face, but I think I have an ordinary face.” However, she also mentioned that she feels she’s the best looking out of her group, saying, “I love and am very dear to myself.”

Wonder Girls’ Sohee says she ranks 0th place appearance wise out of all the members?

Wonder Girls‘ Sohee recently revealed that she believes herself to be ranked 0th place in terms of looks out of all the members, puzzling the set of ‘Beatles Code 2‘ with her response.

Wonder Girls guest starred with f(x) on the episode that will be aired on the 2nd. During the episode, one of the MCs asked Sohee, ‘What do you think about your looks?‘ to which she answered, “I think my face is average”.

But Sohee surprised everyone when the MCs asked her, “So in what place do you think your looks rank in the team?” by answering, “I think in the 0th place.” Thus, jokingly responding that she believes she is the best looking out of the members although she initially stated that she thought her looks were average. However, Sohee explained herself by adding,”I value and love myself. That’s why I answered 0th place.”

In addition, Yubin shared her thoughts on ranking 20th on the ‘World’s Sexiest Musicians‘ chart and also revealed that she tries to be more sexy when people are watching. She commented, “Usually, I go around not caring about it, but when I sense people watching, I sweep back my hair in a more sexy manner.”

Comedian Jang Dong Min involved in a car accident

Comedian Jang Dong Min has reportedly been involved in a car accident on the early morning of June 26th, but has not suffered from any serious injuries.

On June 26th, a representative of his agency stated during a phone call with Issue Daily, “At around 12:30AM, Jang Dong Min was involved in a minor car accident while he was on his way home from a rehearsal for tvN‘s ‘Comedy Big League‘.”

The rep continued, “The accident occured while he was waiting at a red light in Sangam-dong, Seoul when a driver rear-ended his car. Jang Dong Min has been admitted to a hospital in Ilsan with his manager and are both receiving thorough examinations.”

Due to the car accident, Jang Dong Min was unable to attend to the June 26th recording of ‘Comedy Big League’ and the June 27th recording of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘

4minute’s Sohyun prank calls f(x)’s Sulli on ‘Beatles Code 2′

4minute‘s Sohyun‘s surprise prank call which almost led to f(x)‘s Sulli shedding tears.

On a recent broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, a few of the guests members were asked to test their friendship with other celebrities through a prank call.

When it was Sohyun’s turn, the singer decided to test none other than her close friend, Sulli. As soon as she answered the phone, Sohyun began her hidden prank by asking, “I’m having a hard time. Are you able to meet right now?”

Sulli replied saying that she was currently at her house in Ilsan but in order to have Sulli come out, Sohyun casually continued, “Do you at least have time to meet later in the morning? I want to get something off my chest, but I don’t know who to talk to.”

But to everyone’s surprise, Sulli suddenly responded by saying that she’d call her back and tried hanging up. Taken aback, Sohyun immediately tried to keep her on the line which caused Sulli arouse with suspicion. “Are you with somebody right now? You’re playing a prank, aren’t you?”

This prompted MC Shindong to break in and reveal the current situation. Surprised by the prank call, Sulli said, “I suddenly feel like tears are coming,” which led Sohyun to express her apologetic feelings.

When asked why she tried to hang up, Sulli explained, “I’m with my family so I was going to ask them whether she could come over. My friends frequently visit my house and it seemed like Sohyun was having a difficult time alone. Therefore I was going to suggest her to come over so we could cheer her up.”

Others that had participated in this segment were 4minute’s HyunA, who prank called her “Trouble Maker” duet partner, B2ST‘s Jang Hyunseung, Jihyun, who called Super Junior‘s Donghae, and Shoo prank called Eugene.

First generation idols advise HyunA to not go public with her future relationship

First-generation idol stars advised 4minute‘s HyunA to keep her romantic relationships a private matter.

HyunA along with first generation idols S.E.S‘ Shoo, Baby VOX‘s Kan Mi Yeon, and solo artist So Yi made guest appearances on the June 7th broadcast of ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

Expressing her envy of Super Junior‘s Shindong who had previously gone public with his relationship, HyunA remarked, “I want to date publicly, too.”

But upon hearing this, So Yi sternly advised against it stating, “No, don’t. Reveal [your relationship] on the day of your wedding.”

HyunA then explained the reason behind her desire to date openly. “You know how I have a very strong image? If I dated in secret, I think it will make it worse,” she said, unshaken by her seniors’ warnings.

However, So Yi continued to oppose. “No, you should try not to get caught.” Shoo agreed with So Yi and added, “You’ll regret it later on.”

Speaking of herself and fellow guest members Shoo and Kan Mi Yeon, So Yi continued, “We’ve never gone public with our relationships. Even when there were rumors of us dating, we’d deny it or reply with ‘no comment’.”

This prompted Shindong to ask, “Then are you saying that the rumors back then were all true?” to which she replied, “There were some that were true and others that were completely false.”

4minute’s HyunA admits she originally wanted to become an actress

4minute‘s HyunA admitted that she tried out at more than 50 different acting auditions.

On the June 7th episode of Mnet ‘Beatles Code 2‘, guest HyunA remarked, “I began auditioning when I was only 7 years old.”

When she told her parents she wanted to act, they decided to fully support her as much as they could.

“When you try out for acting auditions, you actually have to show them special talents,” HyunA explained. “You have to sing, dance, or show them your ‘aegyo’, but I never had anything prepared so I failed all 50 times.”

“I decided that I needed to try out this thing called dance, and when I went to college and saw these oppas B-boying. They looked so fresh and cool,” she added, explaining she began learning how to break dance.

“I started dancing and tried out for JYP, and I was accepted after just one audition,” she said. “I think dance suits me well.”

Former SES member Shoo who was also a guest on the episode then surprised everyone by remarking that her basketball player husband Lim Hyo Sung was a big fan of HyunA’s.

Super Junior’s Donghae shows his loyalty to 4minute’s Jihyun on ‘Beatles Code 2′

Super Junior‘s Donghae has been dubbed as a “warm city man” for his caring act towards 4minute‘s Jihyun.

The latest recording of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘ featured the members of 4minute putting on a hidden camera show against their close celebrity friends.

MC Shindong suggested that Jihyun pretend to act like she needs to borrow money for her hidden camera act, which she readily agreed to.

Jihyun called up Donghae and carefully asked, “Can you lend me money?” Donghae replied back, “How much do you need? If it’s an emergency, you don’t have to tell me. It doesn’t matter if you don’t pay me back either.”

All of the women on set immediately fell in love with his loyal, dependable charm upon hearing his response.

Shindong jealously asked back, “How come when I ask to borrow money, you always ask me about every little detail?”

Sohyun‘s hidden camera was with f(x)‘s Sulli, a ’94-line friend, to whom she asked, “I’m going through a hard time. Can you come see me?” In response, Sulli came to console her friend and pat her warmly on the back.

SISTAR’s Soyu shares thoughts on her group’s revealing stage attire

SISTAR‘s Soyu revealed her thoughts on her group’s revealing stage outfits on the May 31st broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

Soyu, who featured as a guest alongside fellow member Hyorin, revealed she was saddened by negative comments concerning her group’s sexy stage attire and choreography.

She shared, “Even though other girl groups wear hot pants, people say it’s too revealing if we wear it,” adding, “I will think of it as a positive thing, [it may be] because we have healthy bodies.”

Soyu also revealed, “I hate wearing short and revealing costumes. Because it’s not only uncomfortable when we’re dancing, but when we perform, there are people who take pictures from below, and even people who touch us inappropriately with their hands.”

SISTAR’s Hyorin reveals she suffered from a social anxiety disorder in the past

SISTAR‘s Hyorin confessed that she once suffered from a social anxiety disorder.

On the May 31st episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatle’s Code 2‘, Hyorin talked about how she kept herself locked in a room and away from society for two months due to her social phobia.

She carefully brought out the topic by stating, “I’ve never cried from being too happy, but I’ve cried from being sad. This was when I had a social anxiety disorder.”

She added on, “I did not come out of my room for two months when I suffered from this phobia. I was scared of people.”

Although she did not reveal any specific details or causes for her painful experience, Hyorin relieved the worried guests by assuring them, stating, “I’m alright now.”

SISTAR’s Hyorin says Soyou will never find a man?

SISTAR‘s Hyorin stated that it will be difficult for fellow member Soyou to find love.

On the May 17th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, SISTAR member Soyou remarked, “I have a rather easy-going personality and I don’t have a lot of aegyo. My ideal man was Gong Yoo, but it’s changed now.”

Hearing this, fellow member Hyorin remarked, “Soyou will never be able to meet a man before she dies,” suggesting that Soyou was very picky when it came to men.

“I definitely do not have high standards,” Soyou remarked in her own defense. But Hyorin then added, “It’s not that she has high standards, but she wants him to be good at this, and good at that… there are so many things that she requires him to have.”

MC Kim Tae Won then came up with a scenario of a man she would like, but Soyou evoked laughter when she rejected him as well.

Super Junior’s Shindong shares his secret method of dating in public

Super Junior‘s Shindong shared his secret technique of how he dates his girlfriend in public.

During the May 17th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, U-KISS member Soohyun revealed that he had only been on dates in the car and has never gone to a movie theater with a girlfriend.

Hearing this, comedian Yoon Sang Moo suggested to the singer, “There is a method that can allow you to go on a date with your girlfriend to a movie theater. Just have her hold your bags and pretend as if she’s your stylist.”

MC Shindong agreed and remarked, “I’ve been using that method for the past three years. I even had my girlfriend carry all of my bags. Nobody asked whether or not she was my girlfriend.”

With their dating bans officially lifted, U-KISS’s Soohyun expresssed his desire of dating in public while holding hands and chatting at the coffee shop.

However, Shindong who is currently dating his non-celebrity girlfriend expanded on his dating experience saying, “After going public with my relationship, we’re unable to do those things more often due to the attention and amount of people staring. My girlfriend dislikes this and is uncomfortable when people view her as ‘Shindong’s girlfriend’. Before I went public with my relationship, I was the one that didn’t like dating in public, but now she’s the one that refuses to date outside.”

The emcees then questioned Shindong where the two go on dates to which he boldly reponded, “We meet at home. Is that weird?”

Hyorin explains why she previously selected Boom as a potential ‘We Got Married’ partner

On the May 17th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, SISTAR‘s Hyorin was asked why she had previously mentioned wanting to film ‘We Got Married‘ with Boom.

“I was filming an athletics championship, and Boom oppa happened to be the MC,” she said. “He asked what I wanted to do if I won first place, and I said I wanted to film ‘We Got Married’.”

“He also asked who I would want to partner with, but I couldn’t think of anyone so I just picked Boom oppa who was standing right next to me,” she explained.

Hearing this, U-KISS member Soohyun, who was also a guest on the program with Hyorin, then imitated Boom from his facial expressions to his mannerisms, causing laughter on set.

Huh Gak reveals he received an apology from Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung

Huh Gak recently revealed that he received an apology from Davichi‘s Kang Min Kyung.

If you remember, on a previous airing of KBS‘ ‘Hong Jin Kyung’s 2:00‘, DJ Hong Jin Kyung asked Kang Min Kyung if a relationship would be possible between her and Huh Gak, as his crush on her has been made quite well known through Immortal Song 2. Kang Min Kyung quickly interjected, “No thanks,” barely giving the DJ a chance to finish.

Hearing the news later on, Huh Gak stated that he had no interest in dating her either.

On the May 10th episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Huh Gak was asked if his response was made out of anger, and the singer answered, “I was more upset that people would talk about things like that without even asking what I thought and in a place where I wasn’t present.”

“After that aired, Kang Min Kyung personally called me and said that she was really sorry,” he continued. “I told her it was okay, and that I had no interest in dating her either.”

When asked why he told her he had no interest, Huh Gak responded, “It was because my feelings were hurt, I didn’t mean that I didn’t like her. Who would say no if Kang Min Kyung asked to date?”, lightening the mood.

Other guests who featured on this episode were K.Will and Na Yoon Kwon.
