SISTAR’s Soyu accidentally injures Boom during the first recording of ‘All the K-Pop’

MBC Music‘s new TV show ‘All the K-Pop‘ has unveiled some behind-the-scenes stories of their first filming!

The first recording took place on July 31st with SISTAR as the special guests. Unfortunately for main MC Boom, he suffered an injury to the forehead when member Soyu accidentally threw a picture card at his forehead. The segment they featured on called for the girls to stick picture magnets of themselves on a girl group ranking chart. While trying to stick hers, Soyu accidentally missed and threw it at Boom’s head instead.

Boom’s forehead immediately swelled and a visible cut was seen, shocking the set. However, Boom didn’t let the injury get to him, though, and responded in a comical way bringing laughter on set.

He assured the SISTAR members that he was fine by jokingly stating, “If I had been hit just a bit lower, I would’ve had to get surgery done on my precious nose again. I cannot lend my nose to medical powers again!”

After stopping the blood and getting his cut treated, he stated, “There’s a saying that if you see a ghost or blood on your first recording, the program will hit daebak. I think, thanks to Soyu, our program will indeed hit daebak.”

The segment was concluded in a friendly manner with Soyu and the other SISTAR members tending to Boom’s wound.

SISTAR’s Bora shares her thoughts on competing with 4minute

SISTAR‘s Bora will appear on the August 1st episode of QTV‘s ‘4minute’s Trouble Maker‘, where she will discuss her thoughts on competing with fellow girl group 4minute.

It was revealed that in the past, the two groups happened to release several of their new singles around the same period of time, making comparisons between the groups inevitable.

Bora stated, “Wherever we go, we get compared to 4minute. Honestly, the overdone comparisons and unnecessary competition made me uncomfortable and I really disliked it.“

SISTAR member Soyu, who is a former Cube Entertainment (4minute’s agency) trainee, continued, “When SISTAR won 1st place I had nightmares for 4 days because 4minute, who we are very close with, kept popping up in my mind.”

4minute’s leader and eldest member Jihyun agreed, “When we get interviewed, we always get questions about SISTAR.”

SISTAR is beautiful in white for ‘Vogue Girl’

Receiving lots of love for “Loving U“, SISTAR members showcased various looks all using the color white for a photo shoot.

Through the recent shoot with ‘Vogue Girl‘, SISTAR flaunted their flawless looks and charmed with their innocent look in all white outfits.

After seeing the photo shoot spread, netizens were awed by the members’ beauties and commented, “They may become the mascot for London Olympics“, “Is that SISTAR for real? So innocent“, and “Became pure white goddesses.”

SISTAR celebrates their ‘Music Bank’ trophy with a group shot

After clinching the coveted first place trophy on KBS‘s ‘Music Bank‘, SISTAR member Hyorin took to her Twitter account to celebrate, uploading a picture that shows the SISTAR members (minus Bora) giddily commemorating their win for ‘Loving U‘.

“Thank you so much for an unexpected present!” Hyorin said. “It’s all because of our fans. We promise to keep our focus and work hard going forward.”

Their fans celebrated the occasion as well. “I really like ‘Loving U’,” enthused a fan. “Congratulations to all the SISTAR members,” praised another.

SISTAR’s Soyu looks cute and sexy in selca update

According to Starship Entertainment, after finishing a loaded schedule, SISTAR‘s Soyu took advantage of her break time to relax and update fans with a pair of cute, sexy selcas.

In the pictures shown above, Soyu is seen wearing big-framed glasses and a white, sleeveless shirt. With her wide eyes and pouty expression, she shows an innocent kind of beauty, but her “glamorous” figure didn’t go unnoticed.

Hyorin reveals her first impressions of SISTAR members

On July 2nd’s broadcast of KBS‘ ‘Hello‘, SISTAR‘s Hyorin caught fellow member Bora off-guard by revealing the first impression she had of her.

The girls were asked to describe their first impressions of one another on the program, and Hyorin replied, “I thought Soyu looked feminine and pretty, and that Dasom was really, really pretty. Bora unni looked like someone from the countryside.” Bora playfully feigned her shock upon hearing Hyorin’s first impression of her.

Dasom then revealed her first impression of Hyorin: “She was really cute. She had big pupils so I thought she looked like a sparrow.”

SISTAR’s Soyu can see ghosts?

On the July 2nd episode of KBS‘s talk show, ‘Hello‘, SISTAR‘s Soyu shared a story about a time when she saw a ghost.

The show featured a security guard who explained that he had so many fears, it was hard for him to perform his duties at night. Soyu spoke on the issue and spooked everyone when she began by saying, “People that see ghosts have it harder.” She then relayed one instance in which she saw a ghost. “During my trainee days, I remember getting on an elevator with my friend. When the door opened, someone was standing there so I screamed, ‘Ah!’”

She continued, “My friend looked at me and asked, ‘What’s wrong with you? There’s nobody there.’”

To play on the fear of the security guard and the SISTAR members, the producers had specially asked a person dressed up as a ghost to make a sudden appearance on the set, causing Bora to scream and Soyu to actually shed a few tears from fear.

Unfazed by the inicident, Hyorin looked at the two and nagged, “Be quiet!”

SISTAR releases ‘LOVING U’ teaser photos for Soyu

SISTAR is back and ready to heat up the summer with their summer special album, ‘LOVING U‘!

Starship Entertainment announced the  news of the girls comeback and released the teaser photo of power vocalist Hyorin along with maknae Dasom. Now the teaser photo for member Soyu has been revealed!

SISTAR will be dropping ‘LOVING U’ on June 28th, so stay tuned!

SISTAR members Hyorin and Soyu prefer to sleep naked

SISTAR‘s Hyorin revealed that she and fellow member Soyu prefer to sleep in the buff.

Hyorin made a guest appearance on the latest ‘Korean Diva’ episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, along with talented 1st and 2nd generation singers, Kim Wan Sun and S.E.S‘ Bada.

MC Kyuhyun began by saying, “There are rumors going around that you (Hyorin) walk around naked in the dorm,” and asked the singer if the rumors were true. Hyorin who seemed a bit embarrassed confidently replied, “I walk around the dorm naked, wearing nothing but my undergarments.”

“I can’t sleep with my clothes on, and I’m not the only one that has this habit. Soyu also sleeps naked. When she and I are the only ones at home, the dorm turns into a female bathhouse,” she said, causing the emcees to blush crimson red.

Hyorin was then asked whether she thinks she has a nice body, and she honestly answered, “When I walk past a mirror and see my reflection, I tend to give myself a second glance.”

She added, “Honestly, I think Soyu and I have the nicest bodies in the group.” This prompted the emcees to ask if the other members, Bora and Dasom, acknowledge that they have the best bodies. Hyorin replied, “We actually acknowledge and give compliments to each other very well.”

In addition, Hyorin also spoke up about being nicknamed ‘Hwang Bi Hong (Jet Li as Wong Fei Hung) forehead‘ and shared her honest thoughts regarding her appearance.

SISTAR’s Soyu shares thoughts on her group’s revealing stage attire

SISTAR‘s Soyu revealed her thoughts on her group’s revealing stage outfits on the May 31st broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

Soyu, who featured as a guest alongside fellow member Hyorin, revealed she was saddened by negative comments concerning her group’s sexy stage attire and choreography.

She shared, “Even though other girl groups wear hot pants, people say it’s too revealing if we wear it,” adding, “I will think of it as a positive thing, [it may be] because we have healthy bodies.”

Soyu also revealed, “I hate wearing short and revealing costumes. Because it’s not only uncomfortable when we’re dancing, but when we perform, there are people who take pictures from below, and even people who touch us inappropriately with their hands.”

SISTAR also opened up about their sexy “tail dance” for “So Cool” on the same episode.

SISTAR’s Soyu surprises fans with her unexpected voluptuous body

Turns out Hyorin isn’t the only SISTAR member with serious curves.

On May 31st, the above photo of member Soyu surfaced on an online community site with the title, “Soyu has been overshadowed by Hyorin.”

Soyu’s mint-colored dress had a slit that displayed her shapely legs, but all eyes went directly to her voluptuous curves that was enough to draw envy from every woman who laid eyes on the photo. Until now, Hyorin has been labeled as the member with the most glamourous figure, but this photo of Soyu definitely gave Hyorin a run for her money.

“I knew this already,” netizens wrote in response to the photo, along with “She’s more voluptuous than Hyorin“, and more.

Jung Hyung Don and Defconn to form a duo and release an album

‘Infinity Challenge‘s Jung Hyung Don and hip-hop artist Defconn formed a new duo!

According to MBC, the two friends will be forming a group called ‘Hyung Don and Dae Joon‘ (Dae Joon is Defconn’s Korean name) to release an album.

The duo, who have been emceeing together for MBC’s ‘Weekly Idol‘, will be having their debut stage through the show on the May 30th broadcast. On this day, Jung Hyung Don and Defconn will be revealing the choreography for songs in the album, such as ”Olympic Road” or “Don’t Listen“.

The two will be featured on the show not as MCs, but rather guests. HaHa and SISTAR‘s Soyu and Hyorin will become the MCs for the day to cheer the two on. Jung Hyung Don expressed his confidence, adding, “Even the music video is already completed“.

SISTAR’s Soyu shares a selca from their Taiwan show

SISTAR‘s Soyu recently updated SISTAR’s official Twitter page with the message, “Just completed our first performance in Taiwan, a little concerned because it rained. But the Taiwanese fans were so ecstatic that we too were able to put on an energetic performance. See you guys again soon!”

In her photo, Soyu held up her backstage pass along with a clenched fist to show her determination in putting on a great show in Taiwan. The idol’s spirited pose, along with her elaborate eye makeup and sexy stage costume, drew compliments from her fans.
