‘First generation’ idol Kim E-Z of Baby V.O.X. reveals how idols dated back in the day

“First generation” idol Kim E-Z of Baby V.O.X. will be opening up about anti-fans and secret relationships between idols on the upcoming July 1st broadcast of Story On‘s ‘Lee Seung Yeon and 100 Women‘.

Other first generation idols including S.E.S‘ Shoo and Chakra‘s Lee Eun are also sharing their stories from their groups’ active days.

E-Z, who’s currently a married mother of one, revealed, “[Back in the day, idols would] date by hiding notes in flower pots at television stations or behind clothes hangers that stylists would pull around [on racks].”

She also discussed Baby V.O.X.’s run-ins with anti-fans: “When news of [fellow] member Kan Mi Yeon dating H.O.T‘s Moon Hee Jun spread, anti-fans started to continuously scream ‘[Go away]‘ when we were on stage and a lot of mail would arrive at our dorm with knives in them.”

Also during filming, Shoo revealed that she’s currently cultivating a garden to spend time with her kid, while Lee Eun shared that she’s currently acting as the office head for her father-in-law’s company on top of raising three children.

J.Y. Park was an S.E.S fanboy?

J.Y. Park‘s past respect, love, and fanboyism for the original idol girl group S.E.S were all recently revealed.

On the June 13th episode of MBC‘s ‘Gold Fishery – Radio Star’, Bada, a former S.E.S member, shared an interesting story regarding her sunbae, J.Y. Park.

Bada stated, “At the time of our debut, there were no girl singers except for us, [so] our company employed a bodyguard for our protection. Because of this, our sunbae singers couldn’t comfortably meet with us, but one day there was someone talking a lot outside before coming into our waiting room. Park Jin Young sunbae had come with holding a guitar.”

Bada recalled J.Y. Park’s enthusiasm for S.E.S, saying, “His first words were, ‘So you must be S.E.S! You really do look like dolls.’ He asked if he could touch our hair pom poms, and when we replied, he started saying, ‘They’re talking, they’re talking!’ He seemed to think we were really amazing.”

Bada concluded the story by informing the viewers about J.Y. Park’s surprising devotion, “He said he had even prepared a song for us, and then he played ‘I’m Your Girl’ on the guitar and sang for us.”

Looks like even the former CEO and founder of the famous and successful JYP Entertainment had his own fanboy moments in the past!
