Super Junior’s Chinese fan(s) buy over $170,000 worth of CDs

Today, Super Junior‘s leader, Leeteuk, shared a photo of a receipt sent to him by a fan on his twitter.

This was a receipt sent to him by a Chinese fan, showing her devotion to the group.  Leeteuk tweeted, “15,716 copies.  Wow.  12,600 copies 3,000 copies 116 copies. As expected, the large country of China has lot of scary unnis! I literally made a ugh! sound. Thank you!”

The receipt shows an order for Super Junior’s 6th album, ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘.  In the picture, one can see that the Chinese fan(s) spent approximately $173,870 on the CDs, surprising fans all over the world.

Other fans commented, “Truly the spirit of a large country”, “Super Junior are definietly Hallyu-dol”,  and “Chinese fans are on a whole different scale”.

Ryeowook thinks Eunhyuk’s looks rank low in Super Junior?

Super Junior‘s Ryeowook stated on the July 23rd broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘Beatle’s Code 2‘, that he thinks Eunhyuk ranks low in appearances within Super Junior. The group recently placed first on Mnet, only within a week of their comeback with ‘Sexy, Free, and Single‘.

In the episode, as soon as the members sat down, they had already started bantering playfully when they started talking about popularity and rankings within the group. When asked about appearances, Ryeowook stated, “I think Eunhyuk hyung and I rank relatively low in the group‘, which surprised Eunhyuk.

In response, Eunhyuk said, “I’m not exceptionally good-looking, but I honestly don’t think I place low in looks. Ryeowook does!” making everyone on the set laugh. Ryeowook, unable to let the statement go, shot back jokingly, “Even now, I still get surprised by Eunhyuk when he doesn’t have make-up on.” Unfazed, Eunhyuk went on to bring up Ryeowook’s past photos and how shocking they are, continuing the cute Tom-and-Jerry-like banter.

Known for being extremely close and tight-knit as a group, Super Junior revealed that even they have fights occasionally, stating, “We fight more because we are so close.” They also revealed that the member who gets in arguments the most is none other than group maknae, Kyuhyun. Kyuhyun, they said, likes to joke around with the other members and make fun of them. The group also revealed that leader Leeteuk has only ever fought with Eunhyuk.

Super Junior sweeps weekly charts with their 6th album

Boy group Super Junior proved to be the all-mighty idol group once again.

After recently making a comeback with their 6th album, Super Junior claimed the number 1 spot on various music charts and lived up to their title, ‘Album King’.

After the release of their 6th album ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘ on July 4th, the group claimed first place on the Hanteo Chart, Hot Tracks, and other various music charts. They placed first on not only the real-time and daily charts, but also the weekly charts with an overwhelming sales volume, confirming their immense popularity.

Moreover, the music video for their title track ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘ currently holds over 5,000,000 views on Youtube, reflecting its explosive popularity. Such popularity attests to Super Junior’s new music and performance appeal to music fans worldwide.

Super Junior also appeared on music programs and performed ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘, which highlights Super Junior’s unique group dance and energetic performance, as well as the mellow couple song ‘From U‘, which showed off a new side of the group, capturing the audience’s attention.

BoA’s relationship status revealed by Super Junior’s Kyuhyun in ‘Sexy, Free & Single’ album

Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun revealed that BoA is currently single in the “thanks to” portion of the group’s ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘ album.

On July 5th, BoA tweeted, “Kyuhyun’s thanks to. My goodness, what is this. Then why don’t you introduce me to someone! You’re announcing it to the world. Wait until I get my hands on you!” along with the picture above (top).

The posted photo was of Kyuhyun’s ‘thanks to’ letter in Super Junior’s 6th album, ‘Sexy, Free & Single’, which released on July 1st. Kyuhyun, while listing everyone who he wanted to thank, included the message: “BoA, who needs a boyfriend“.

Fans commented, “They are so cute,” “I see BoA isn’t dating anyone right now,” and “Kyuhyun’s pretty witty.”

Super Junior members reveal they made plans to take turns serving military duty

At the press conference for the release of their 6th album ‘Sexy, Free & Single‘ on July 3rd KST, the Super Junior members revealed that they’ve decided to take turns enlisting for their mandatory military service.

Shindong stated, “Once, all the members discussed our plans for military enlistment all day. Should we all enlist at once, one at a time, half and half, we considered a lot of options and decided that it’s best to go one at a time in order to maintain Super Junior.”

Yesung: “I’m curious about what will happen after Leeteuk hyung goes, but it’s a relief that no matter who leaves for the military, we’ll maintain our team. I think it’s good that the other members can still be active despite one or two enlisting.”

Eunhyuk: “I’d like for Super Junior to exist for a long time. No matter what individual members do, they’ll still be part of Super Junior.”

Finally, Leeteuk, who’s enlisting after promotions for ‘Sexy, Free & Single’ are over, commented, “I think [military service] will be my biggest homework assignment and longest ‘schedule’, but it’s not important when I go to the army, it’s important that I go and finish so I can return and be part of the next album. I’ll return and show a splendid side of myself.”
