After School’s Jooyeon & Lee Tae Sung arrive in Taiwan for ‘Music and Lyrics 2′

Pledis Entertainment has informed allthatkpops that After School‘s Jooyeon and actor Lee Tae Sung have both arrived in Taiwan!

The two recently flew into Taiwan for ‘Music and Lyrics 2‘ as they have been selected as the second couple for this new season.

After having met for the first time at the filming location for the popular Taiwanese drama series ‘Playful Kiss‘, the two visited famous tourist sites around the country to obtain some musical inspiration and to get to know each other a little better. They also visited the location where the hit Taiwanese film ‘Secret‘ was filmed, and exchanged musical ideas as they played the piano.

Jooyeon and Lee Tae Sung reportedly had good chemistry from the get-go, speaking positively about their first impressions of one another. Later, Lee Tae Sung even personally prepared a bottle of wine for the last event of their ‘date’, and Jooyeon, who was touched by his surprise, responded by giving him a special pet name.

The two showed a strong determination to show a new artistic side of themselves through ‘Music and Lyrics 2′, and are expected to share a sweet and lovely story in this new project.

Jooyeon and Lee Tae Sung’s first episode will air on MBC Music on September 15 at 11AM and 11PM KST.

After School to hold special fan meet + reunion with former member Kahi

Girl group After School who made a Korean comeback this June for the first time in nearly a year has just informed allthatkpops that they will be holding a fan meet at Sook Myung Women’s University on August 12th.

This fan meet is a chance for the girls to display their personal talents and special stage performances their fans have never seen before. The girls are showing much ambition for this fan meet, as member Jooyeon even sacrificed her vacation time to rehearse the solo stage she will be performing at the event, and rookie member Kaeun even went out of her way to prepare a special gift for their fans.

Furthermore, the girls have also reportedly arranged a special meeting with original member Kahi who announced her graduation from the group this past June. This is the first time Kahi will be standing before her fans after promising she will take a step forward to show them a better side of herself, and the reunion is drawing special interest from netizens amongst many others.

For the fans who are unable to physically attend the fan meets, the After School members have also teamed up with Google to set up a hangout session on Google+, and will reveal a part of the fan meet live all over the world.

After School’s agency Pledis Entertainment remarked, “This is an event that was created in an effort to thank the fans who have shown their love and support for After School. I hope that even after this event, the fans will continue to further encourage the girls, and continue their unchanging love for After School.”

After School’s Jooyeon shares her opinion on the ‘spread leg dance’ in “Flashback” choreography

The ‘spread leg dance’ from After School‘s “Flashback” choreography received some flak for being too sexually suggestive for TV earlier on, and in response, Jooyeon shared her opinion while guesting on Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘.

On the July 23rd episode, MC Shindong brought up the topic of the dance when he stated, “There are differing opinions on [the dance], with some thinking that it’s sexy and others thinking that it’s embarrassing to watch.”

Jooyeon replied, “We don’t think it’s weird at all. We think it looks cool… It’s a hard dance because you have to sit down low making it hard to maintain balance,” expressing her pride in the choreography the members worked hard to perfect.

SISTAR’s Hyorin would recruit Jewelry’s Jooyeon for a new girl group + expresses interest in solo debut

In a recent interview, SISTAR‘s Hyorin revealed who she would like to recruit if she had to create a new girl group.

She began by expressing, “I was in the SISTAR unit SISTAR19, but I’d like to go solo in the future as well.” When asked which idols she would choose if she could make a new girl group, she answered Jewelry‘s Jooyeon without hesitation, explaining, “I’ve always been close with Jooyeon unni. Aside from our friendship, I fell in love with her rapping and dancing skills. She’s got exceptional talent and charm that makes her the #1 person I’d recruit for my girl group.”

Hyorin went on to reveal that she had a lot of interest in hip hop music, but couldn’t pursue it because it was important for SISTAR to maintain their own pop-friendly style.

She stated, “I think the type of music I like, am confident in, and want to pursue are all different. The public thinks that SISTAR is really sexy, but we’re actually far from it. We’re tomboyish in real life and don’t feel that we’re sexy in each others’ eyes at all. Since we’ve been trained for such a long time, we merely know how to express ourselves in a sexy way, which I think is the reason why people think we’re a sexy group. It was through practice that we were able to emphasize our sexiness, so we hope to work hard to show different sides of ourselves in the future.”

Starship Entertainment is reported to be looking into possible solo promotions for Hyorin and another unit debut similar to SISTAR19.

Their CEO stated, “After SISTAR’s summer promotions, Dasom will be in a sitcom. The other members don’t have plans yet, so we’re thinking of having Hyorin release a solo mini-album, but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

After School’s Jooyeon shares a fierce selca with UEE

After School‘s charismatically sexy comeback concept has got heads turning for miles, and fans have been delighted to catch an extra glimpse of the members as they drum up for their upcoming return. Member Jooyeon upload a new photo on her Twitter today with UEE, which has fans reeling from the ladies’ fierce looks.

“After School’s encore concert will start soon in Japan!!!^^” Jooyeon tweeted, “Will be back to make a Korean music comeback next week!! Next to me is my groupmate UEE, I’m sorry“. Dressed in black with studded accessories, the actress-singer duo poses backstage, and although UEE’s face is obscured with a caption, the intensity of Jooyeon’s gaze is enough to make up for the two.

Fans have left a series of replies on Twitter, including, “Best wishes on your encore concert in Japan,” ”Can’t wait for this comeback!!” and, “Jooyeon looks so good without full bangs!”

After School‘s Jooyeon revealed her artistic talents.

On June 8th, Jooyeon tweeted, “Seems like I draw well,” and shared a couple of drawings she created.

The revealed sketches were of Jooyeon’s fellow members, Nana, E-Young, and Jung Ah. They captured each person’s hairstyle, facial features, and expression.

After viewing the drawings, fans commented, “Nana looks the most similar,” “How did she manage to capture the unique features,” and “The members seem to have fun together.”

After School‘s Jooyeon updated fans with photos from Japan.

Jooyeon tweeted on the 4th, “Up till today, I had a lot of fun^^ My 8th week on the streets of Japan. I will work hard starting tomorrow,” along with the two photos above.

In the photo, Jooyeon is seen holding a shopping bag and seems to be enjoying her time away from home. Her chic fashion sense along with her pretty face against the backdrop of her night on the street gave the pictures a photo shoot quality.

On March 27th, Jewelry member Jooyeon shared the above photo of Jo Kwon’s letter to her, via her official me2day page.

It turns out he gifted her with 2AM’s new CD, and on the back wrote, “We need to have much more conversations with one another. It’s so nice to see you live each day of your life without losing your positive spirit.”

After School‘s vocalist and lead dancer, Lee Jooyeon recently transformed into a hot female version of Santa Claus.

On December 15th, the idol uploaded a two-set selca and tweeted, “It’s been a while since I uploaded a selca.  I acted pretty in this one“.

Last week, we saw soloist, G.NA commit a similar act and now it looks like it’s become a new trend among idols.  At this point, it’s safe to say that fans can expect to see more sexy, santa transformations of their favorite idols.

After School’s Jooyeon gets criticized for gambling at a casino

After School‘s Jooyeon is facing criticisms of inappropriate professional behavior. Jooyeon recently shared some photos from a casino, and some felt that it was no place for a young female idol.

Before she revealed the photos, Jooyeon wrote, “I lost money at the casino and came outside for some fresh air.”

The idol took the photo at a casino in Las Vegas, where she’s seen sitting in front of a slot machine. Considering her influence over younger kids, some felt that this photo would encourage gambling habits.

Some notable comments from miffed netizens included, “You want to throw away your money so badly? Went to a casino at such a young age, tsk”, “You might become addicted to gambling”,and “What kind of image are you giving off as an idol?”

Others, however, defended Jooyeon by saying, “Going to a casino is not illegal”, “She went (to Las Vegas) on vacation so it’s fine to go to a casino. Don’t think too much into it”.

Kim Shin Young proves she’s got a small face

Comedian Kim Shin Young proved that, even next to a girl group member, she’s got a small face to be proud of.

On October 25th, After School‘s Jooyeon posted a selca picture with Kim Shin Young and tweeted, “Variety show for the first time in a while! Happily with Shin Young unni! We’re eating something delicious. nom nom.”

In the picture, both Jooyeon and Kim Shin Young put on bright expressions, showing their happiness in meeting again for a variety show. However, what caught fans’ attention was the similarity in their face sizes. Kim Shin Young surprised netizens when they discovered that her face was actually quite small, even when standing next to a girl group member known to have a small face.

Netizens commented, “She has a totally small face” and “She can be a girl group member.”
