2AM’s Changmin and Jo Kwon experience the power of the “Gravity Man” on Star King

 

2AM‘s Changmin and Jo Kwon recently experienced the mysterious talent of the “Gravity Man”.

On the April 7th broadcast of ‘Star King‘, it featured a special X-files episode that brought out the world’s mysteriously talented people.

Changmin and Jokwon along with X-5 members Gun and Haewon experienced the power of the “Gravity Man”. Jo Kwon was especially nervous about this experience.

 

 

The “Gravity Man” shot ki at the four healthy young men and Gun, Haewon, and Jo Kwon all fell down. Changmin who handled the shot eventually went down bringing shock to the audience watching.

Changmin stated that, “It felt like getting hit by a wave, but it wasn’t a hard hit.” Jo Kwon said that, “It felt like all my body’s strength was gone and I was pulled backwards.”

After experiencing it again, Gun, Haewon, and Jo Kwon once again fell back after the ki shots but Changmin did not fall down.

2AM’s Jo Kwon crowned as “president of idols” by peers

Vocal group 2AM‘s leader Jo Kwon has been crowned as the “president of idols” by his peers.

The April 4th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Weekly Idols‘ featured another ‘Idol Self-Ranking‘ segment, which had idols vote for their “idol president”. Candidates were Girls Generations‘ Sooyoung, JYJ‘s Kim Jae Joong, Big Bang‘s TOP, and more. However, Jo Kwon topped the chart and earned the title as president.

It was revealed that fellow idols voted for the 2AM leader because of his long trainee years, overflowing charisma, and talented variety skills. Nine Muses and SPICA, who voted for Jo Kwon, commented, “It seems like it’d be a fun nation with Jo Kwon as President.”

In particular, MC Jung Hyun Don called the 2AM member during the episode to congratulate him. Jo Kwon expressed his gratitude and stated, “I would like to turn this country into a happy nation with my music and kkab,” causing viewers to laugh.

Jewelry’s Jooyeon shares a sweet note from 2AM’s Jo Kwon

2AM member Jo Kwon‘s thoughtful note is gaining attention from fans.

On March 27th, Jewelry member Jooyeon shared the above photo of Jo Kwon’s letter to her, via her official me2day page.

It turns out he gifted her with 2AM’s new CD, and on the back wrote, “We need to have much more conversations with one another. It’s so nice to see you live each day of your life without losing your positive spirit.”

Netizens who saw Jo Kwon’s sweet message to Jooyeon remarked, “Jo Kwon has such nice handwriting“, “They seem to be so close“, and “Never seen a guy write so nicely.”

Jo Kwon and Yubin reveal their thoughts on J.Y. Park’s judging on ‘K-Pop Star’

2AM and the Wonder Girls recently attended the March 25th episode of SBS‘s ‘K-Pop Star‘.

Near the end of the live broadcast, MC Boom took the time to interview the two special audience members. He first questioned Jo Kwon, “What do you think about J.Y. Park‘s commentaries as a judge?” to which he hilariously replied, “I used to be on the same program as Jin Young hyung where he was the judge. Even now, the way he judges has been the same. I still hear those same negative remarks by him.”

When asked about Park Ji Min, who received a close to perfect score of 99 by J.Y. Park, Jo Kwon remarked, “I’m really jealous of Park Ji Min for receiving 99 points from Park Jin Young. I still haven’t received such a good score from him.”

In addition, Wonder Girls’ Yubin expressed her discomfort with J.Y. Park’s judging by saying, “I wish he would manage his facial expressions. It’s disturbing when you’re trying to concentrate on their performances,” causing the audience to roar into laughter.

Meanwhile, this week’s ‘K-Pop Star’ consisted of performances by the Top 7 with a mission to sing an OST from either a drama or a movie. Unfortunately, Yoon Hyun Sang, who had sang “Wind is Blowing” by Lee Sora, got eliminated.  Check out the performances HERE!

Jo Kwon reveals why he never dated during his 8 years as a trainee

On the March 22nd broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘, 2AM‘s Jo Kwon revealed the reason behind why he never dated during his 8 long years as a trainee.

The singer visited where junior trainees were gathered and gave them advice based on his experience as a trainee.

“I had never dated during my 8 years of trainee days,” he said. “In fact, seeds of love start to sprout during trainee days. There was this one girl during my trainee days who had feelings for me, but I told her ‘we shouldn’t be like this. We’re about to debut soon. You stepped foot in here because your dream was to become a singer, just like I did. But if we date and end up getting caught, what do you think will happen?‘”

Jo Kwon then began reminiscing about the time when he debuted saying, “I’m very realistic. I never really had interest in dating, and only had thoughts of wanting to debut quickly. Once I debuted under 2AM after 8 long years and appeared on stage, that’s when I heard the cheers coming to us from so many people. The feeling you get at that moment is something I can’t describe in words.”

He continued, “That’s the reason why I’m still a singer. I don’t need anything else. The moment I stand on stage, my heart begins to race uncontrollably. When I see fans cheering while holding up placards and our light sticks, I couldn’t be any happier.”

Jo Kwon’s Adult computer accessories revealed

 

2AM’s Jo Kwon was caught off guard regarding his computer accessories and turned bright red.

On the March 19th broadcast of KBS2′s ‘Star Life Theater,’ 2AM appeared as guests.

During the broadcast, the dorm that the Wonder Girls passed down to 2AM was revealed.  What caught the most attention was Jo Kwon’s room.  Jo Kwon is known for his cleanliness and his room was indeed extremely tidy and well kept.  But what really caught viewers eyes was his mouse pad.

On Jo Kwon’s mouse pad is a female character from a Japanese anime, and the wrist rest is a pair of woman’s breasts.  Silicone is added so that it pops up and truly is embarrassing to have.  Jo Kwon explained, “This is a present from a Japanese fan.”  But that was not the end of it.  Jo Kwon’s computer wallpaper was of a scantily clad woman who was lying down with a sexy pose.  Jo Kwon exclaimed, “Oh no,” and turned off his computer and pleaded, “Let’s all pretend we did not see that.”

Jo Kwon reveals the hardships behind his 8-year period as a trainee

2AM‘s Jo Kwon opened up and revealed his honest feelings about his 8-year period as a trainee.

The March 19th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Star Life Theater‘ featured 2AM. During the program, member Jo Kwon confessed, “While I was a trainee, I countlessly heard the question, ‘When are you going to debut?’”

He added, “Every time I heard that kind of question, my self-confidence disappeared and I was so embarrassed that I wanted to hide in a hole. So I lied and answered, ‘I’m going to debut next month’ or ‘I will debut in the beginning of next year’. However, that fact shook me to the core.”

Also, fellow member Seulong revealed, “Jo Kwon was a trainee for a very long time. Whenever he would say, ‘I really want to die’ it really felt like he was being truthful, so I was very upset.”

HyunA and Jo Kwon make Siwan jealous on ‘Birth of a Family’

ZE:A‘s Siwan‘s jealousy is grabbing the viewers’ attention.

On last week episode of KBS‘s ‘Birth of a Family‘, Siwan and HyunA enjoyed a stroll with their pet Cherry. Before the outing, Siwan was seen styling HyunA’s outfit, giving off a couple vibe.

However, Siwan had to leave during the stroll due to his schedule. When he came back, instead of finding HyunA alone, he found her having fun with Jo Kwon, who had come to visit while he had been gone.

Unable to hide his jealousy, Siwan commented, “I see another man was here while I was gone,” making viewers laugh at his cute jealousy towards the two.

Jo Kwon says Park Ji Yoon is the most beautiful woman in the world

 

On a recent episode of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘ set to air tomorrow on the 13th, 2AM‘s Jo Kwon confessed that Park Ji Yoon is the world’s most beautiful woman.

Jo Kwon shyly shared, “The first celebrity I met as a JYP trainee was Park Ji Yoon. I thought she was the most beautiful person in the world.”

He continued, “The first celebrity’s autograph I got in my life was from Park Ji Yoon. I still treasure it today.”

Jo Kwon also made the other guests burst out in laughter when he added, “When I saw her tall height, I thought to myself, ‘I want to be that tall too.’”

Jo Kwon talks about his first kiss after debut

Ahead of their comeback, the members of 2AM guested on the March 7th episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘ and had the opportunity to talk about many of their rumors as well as current scandals.

However, out of all the questions that were asked, one particular question made Jo Kwon blush with a big smile on his face. The MC’s asked Jo Kwon if he had ever kissed anyone after he debuted to which he responded, “Yes“.

The curious MC’s then showered him with questions on where he had the kiss and with whom, but Jo Kwon who was blushing shyly answered back with “I don’t know“.

Jo Kwon responds to controversy over his tweet regarding Junsu’s father

2AM‘s Jo Kwon responded to the controversy over his Twitter post regarding the passing of 2PM‘s Junsu‘s father.

When the news was announced on January 20th, Jo Kwon had tweeted,

“My heart breaks for Junsu hyung whom I have known for a long time. Everyone please pray for Junsu and his father.”

Furthermore, he wrote,

“As time passes, we often experience times of hardship. As I have always felt before, I have once again learned to be thankful. Please enjoy a great Lunar New Years with your parents. And also, be thankful for this moment.”

This second part was at the center of controversy for Hottests, who felt that Jo Kwon’s tweet seemed insensitive towards Junsu and the death of Junsu’s father.

On January 22nd, baffled by the controvery Jo Kwon posted,

“It has just come to my attention that my Tweet has become a controversy among fans. I have reread my post to see how it could have become misinterpreted by Hottests. The thankfulness I’m referring to in my tweet was written with those precious people in mind, who have always been there whenever hard situations like this arise.”

How, and why, would I have put those words up with malicious intentions? I was suprised almost to the point of being scared by the harsh comments.”

Ultimately, Jo Kwon has deleted all tweets regarding the passing of Junsu’s father.

Ga-In leaves a lipstick stain on Jo Kwon’s neck

Jo Kwon and Ga-In, also known as the ‘Adam Couple‘, thrilled their fans last night after performing their rendition of HyunA and Hyunseung‘s “Trouble Maker” at the 2011 MBC Gayo Daejaejun.

The sexy performance left fans hungry for more ‘Adam’ love, and Cho Young Chul PD fulfilled their wish by tweeting a photo of the two together. He joked, “Ah, that mark on his neck.. is it Ga-In?”

In the photo, a red lipstick stain stands out visibly on Jo Kwon’s neck. Ga-In is seeing staring into the camera with a sly expression on her face, while Jo Kwon seems frozen with his eyes cast downward.

Netizens commented, “I enjoyed the performance greatly. Trouble Maker is good, but the team work between the Adam couple was the best,” and “Adam couple will never die. I was so happy to see this collaboration.”

J.Y. Park presents Jo Kwon with a new song, promises to write one for 2PM

Producer J.Y. Park has sent a brand new song to 2AM‘s Jo Kwon!

On December 30th, J.Y. Park wrote on his Twitter, “You suffered a lot filming your drama this year, so I’m glad to see you being repaid for your work through this award. Congratulations, Kwon.”

Jo Kwon had received the Popularity Award in the category of Comedy/Sitcom at the ‘2011 MBC Entertainment Awards‘ on the 29th.

J.Y. Park also revealed, “I also sent you a new song last night.” He jokingly added, “It’s something I wrote for the first time in a while so try not to be too harsh with it.”

The 2PM members were quick to respond, with Taecyeon asking, “Hyung! What about us?” J.Y. Park replied back, “Aren’t you guys asking for so much from an actor that’s trying to concentrate on his work! Once I get chewed out by 2AM, I’ll send it to you kekeke.”

Chansung joined in, tweeting, “Kekeke hyung, are we going to do one of your ballads”, to which J.Y. Park responded, “Hold on a bit, 2AM has to chew out my song to them first keke.”

Chansung replied back, “Ah, I feel like I’m anticipating something I shouldn’t be.. I’m also sorry to hyung, kekekeke.” J.Y. Park finally replied back, “Hey, don’t go into sympathy mode like that ㅠㅠ I’d rather you whine. You do know that talking like that gives me more pressure, right? Okay, I’ll hurry up and write your song ㅠㅠ.”

J.Y. Park even responded to a Hottest, saying, “Okay, I got it, I got it. I’ll write a song for 2PM as well ㅠㅠ 2PM, I’m more scared of your fans than you guys. Where are my fans..ㅠㅠ.”

[Concert] Jo Kwon(2AM)’s ‘Britney Spears‘ cover

Jo Kwon to perform a Britney Spears song at 2AM’s Christmas concert

2AM‘s leader Jo Kwon is planning a special event for their upcoming Christmas concert.

On December 21st, 2AM’s representatives revealed that Jo Kwon will be putting on a parody performance of Britney Spears‘s “Till the World Ends“.

“The crowd went wild when Jo Kwon performed “Telephone” as Lady Gaga during their last performance,” a representative stated. “Fans will be able to feel Jo Kwon’s intensity and sexiness with his upcoming Britney Spears performance. It will undoubtedly bring out all of his playful, theatrical sides.”

2AM will be holding their independent holiday concert at Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium on December 24th and 25th.

2AM’s Jo Kwon & Jinwoon caught snoozing at the airport

On November 26th, 2AM‘s leader Jo Kwon shared a new photo through his Twitter under the caption, “2 floor bed“.

Taken at an airport, the photo showed Jo Kwon and Jinwoon snoozing on a bench for a quick nap. The singers converted the bench into a bunk bed, with Seulong taking the ‘top’ bunk and Jo Kwon sleeping below.

Fans commented, “Haha, I should order one of those benches. So funny” and “Looks like you guys were at the airport.  Didn’t people stare at you?”

Either these two have mastered the art of sleeping anytime, anywhere, or they’re making the greatest comment on the absurdity of planking ever.

In related news, 2AM will be holding a 2-day Christmas concert on December 24th and 25th before debuting in Japan next year.

Jo Kwon dances to “Be My Baby” on Radio Star + performs duet with Sunye

The Wonder Girls made a guest-appearance on the November 16th episode of MBC ‘Golden Fishery – Radio Star‘, along with their close labelmates, 2AM‘s Jo Kwon and miss A‘s Min.

During the Karaoke corner of the show, Jo Kwon congratulated the girls on their recent comeback. He said, “When I watch the music programs these days, I get upset because there aren’t any dances that are worth emulating. But now that the Wonder Girls have made their comeback, I will be able to maintain my ‘kkab Kwon’ status.”

The Wonder Girls went on to dance the choreography to their new hit song “Be My Baby.” Shortly thereafter diva Jo Kwon took the center stage alone, putting his signature twist on the dance, evoking much laughter.

The Wonder Girls also shared stories of how hard it was to promote overseas, and member Ye Eun shed tears thinking back on it.
