Psy unintentionally brings laughter with his sweaty bum

Singer Psy, who is already known for having extremely sweaty underarms, unintentionally brought laughs as he exposed his sweaty behind on ‘Superstar K4‘.

On the August 24th, Mnet‘s ‘Superstar K4′ broadcast the auditions held at a Korean military camp.

While watching the contestants, Psy became excited and decided to go up the stage himself. The ‘global singer’ started dancing to SISTAR‘s “Alone” and as he started doing the ‘crane leg’ dance, Psy completely exposed his sweaty bottom as he turned around. It seems after sitting for a long period to judge the contestants, he had built up a lot of sweat with the hot weather.

The other judges, singer Lee Seung Chul and Son Dam Bi, as well as all the soldiers, were unable to hold back their laughter and shock as Psy continued to perform.

Psy to parody SISTAR’s “Alone” at his summer concert

It has been revealed that singer Psy, who recently made his comeback in two years with ‘Psy’s Best Sixth‘, will be treating his fans to a parody performance of SISTAR‘s “Alone” at his upcoming summer concert.

Psy has been known for parodying various celebrities such as Lee Hyori, BoA, Park Ji Yoon, Beyonce, and even Girls’ Generation at his concerts, receiving a hot response from fans. This time around, Psy will be parodying SISTAR’s hit song “Alone”.

During a recent chat event with fans on July 19th, Psy revealed, “The female artists I’ll be parodying at my upcoming concert will be SISTAR. In order to live up to expectations, I’ll be wearing a tight skirt and perform ‘Alone’ this time.”

Psy’s summer concert, ‘Summer Stand the Drenched Show‘, will be held on August 11th at the Seoul Jamsil Stadium.

Meanwhile, Psy is maintaing the #1 spot for six consecutive days on various music charts with “Gangnam Style“. The singer will be appearing on the July 20th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Dancing With the Stars 2‘ and is also scheduled to guest on the July 23rd episode of SBS‘s ‘Healing Camp‘.

SISTAR seizes the #1 spot on Billboard’s ‘K-Pop Hot 100′ chart with “Loving U”

In addition to achieving an ‘all-kill’ with the release of their newest song on major music charts of Korea, powerful girl group SISTAR has seized the #1 spot on Billboard‘s ‘K-Pop Hot 100‘ with “Loving U“!

The group previously set a record with their ‘Alone‘ single by topping the chart for four consecutive weeks. With “Loving U” stealing the #1 spot into its first week of release, the girls are once again proving themselves to be an unstoppable force on digital charts.

A representative of Starship Entertainment expressed, “We’re very happy that SISTAR’s latest track ‘Loving U’ is doing well on charts. We’ll work harder to show a better SISTAR.”

Produced by talented production duo ‘Duble Sidekick‘ (Double Sidekick), SISTAR returned with a fresher sound and summer appropriate look for their summer special album.

The girls’ music video is also receiving a large amount of interest from the public as “Loving U” is approaching 2 million views on Starship’s official YouTube channel.

SISTAR and Busker Busker’s popularity continues to soar

SISTAR and Busker Busker were two groups that saw their popularity soar in the first half of 2012 and they are once again showing how popular they are.

New tracks by both groups reached number one on music charts and showed that their popularity from the beginning of the year, was not just a flash in the pan.

Busker Busker released a follow up to their first album on June 21st, with a track titled ‘If You Really Love Me‘, which reached number one. Other tracks on the album also took spots 2-5, resulting in a ‘line up all kill.’  Most of the songs from their first album were received with much love and once again we are seeing the chart topping power of Busker Busker.

For seven days Busker Busker held onto the number one spot until June 28th, when they handed the spot over to SISTAR.  In the first half of the year, the ladies of SISTAR had their hit song ‘Alone‘, which took over the top position from Busker Busker and they did it once again with their track ‘LOVING U‘. ‘LOVING U’ is different from their femme fatale concept of ‘Alone’, but nevertheless, this new concept continues to show that they are unique and healthy beauties.

SISTAR couldn’t eat before “Alone” performances?

SISTAR‘s Hyorin revealed that it was hard for them to eat because of the group’s stage attire for “Alone“.

Hyorin spoke to reporters near Seoul on June 25th and revealed, “The stage attire for “Alone” was very tight so it exposed our bodies. Because of that, we couldn’t wear the clothes after eating. We starved for a few hours before a performance, and afterwards, we inhaled our food.”

SISTAR will be releasing their summer special album ‘Loving U‘ on June 28th, and the girls have created a goal to reach the top with the song. They’ll be showing a more cute and sexy image for “Loving U”, a song about summer love, than the concept they had for “Alone”.

Actor Joo Sang Wook admits to watching SISTAR’s “Alone” over 600 times

Actor Joo Sang Wook has reportedly mastered the choreography for SISTAR‘s “Alone“.

Joo Sang Wook guested on June 9th’s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘ and made mugwort rice cakes with the G6 members. He teamed up with SISTAR’s Bora, Jewelry‘s Yewon, and Boom to make one of the ingredients, soybean flour.

While they were waiting for the beans to roast, Bora performed a “wave dance” for the actor and commented after, “I showed you a wave so oppa should show one too.” Joo Sang Wook is reported to have gotten up immediately to do his own wave dance, only to make the others laugh because of his stiff moves.

The SISTAR member then asked, “Do you know our song ‘Alone’?” to which he replied, “Not even joking. I’ve watched it over 600 times.” Bora ended up teaching him the “Alone” dance, and along with Boom and Yewon, they pulled off the dance as a group. Joo Sang Wook apparently followed along pretty well.

In related news, Joo Sang Wook chose T-ara‘s Hyomin as his ideal girl from the variety series.

SISTAR’s Bora has difficulty balancing due to her skinny ankles

SISTAR‘s Bora caught the attention of viewers with her skinny ankles.

SISTAR was interviewed for the June 3rd installment of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘, in which the members shared a few interesting stories and some surprising facts.

An NG clip of the girls during their MV shoot for ‘Alone‘ was revealed, showing member Bora losing her balance during their choreography.

Leader Hyorin pointed out that it was due to Bora’s extremely thin ankles, “Bora’s ankles are very slender. They’re so slender that you can grab it with just one hand like this,” and showed viewers by wrapping her hands around her ankle.

Maknae Dasom then chipped in, “Bora unnie always dances in front of me so whenever I see her slightly losing balance, I get so nervous thinking she might fall.”

Despite it being a challenge for her, Bora stated, “I’m doing my best for my role in the center.”

IU tops Billboard’s ‘K-Pop’s Hot 100′ Chart

Singer IU has topped Billboard‘s K-pop Chart!

As of May 17th, IU has placed 1st on Billboard ‘K-Pop’s Hot 100‘ with her title song “Every End of the Day” from her new mini-album, ‘Spring of a Twenty Year Old‘.

Following IU is Baek Ji Young‘s “Voice“, TaeTiSeo‘s “Twinkle” at 3rd, and SISTAR‘s “Alone” at 4th.

After releasing her album, IU has also brought down Ulala Session‘s recent hit “Beautiful Night” and has achieved an all-kill on the music charts, evidencing the love and support she is receiving from a wide range of audience.

Composed by Park Geun Tae and Kim Do Hoon with lyrics written by Kim Eana, “Every End of the Day” is a lively song that reminds people of old pop music with its disco style and upbeat rhythm. With IU’s bright vocals, the lyrics depict a girl deeply in love with a man, hoping that he’ll notice and make the first move.

SISTAR’s ‘Alone’ is the longest chart topper on Billboard’s ‘K-Pop Hot 100′

SISTAR has managed to set the record of being the longest lasting album at the top of the Billboard ‘K-Pop Hot 100‘ chart!

Since its release, their ‘Alone’ single has been topping the chart for four consecutive rows starting from the week of April 3rd all the way to May 2nd. They’re also still currently at the top of Gaon‘s online streaming and mobile charts, which is a remarkable achievement considering that albums drop like flies off of the charts after about a day or two.

A representative of Starship Entertainment expressed, “With so many comebacks lately, we’re just so thankful that the girls have been making so many achievements across the charts. We’ll return the support by working even harder.”

SISTAR shows off their innocent charms for a new ad for Pelicana Chicken

Photos of girl group SISTAR from their picnic-themed photoshoot have become a hot topic.

SISTAR was recently chosen to represent South Korea’s oldest chicken franchise, Pelicana, and their picnic-themed photoshoot for the print ads have been gaining fans’ interest. In the photos, the SISTAR members exude a natural, innocent charm, which is a complete 180 from their charismatic, femme fatale image on the stage.

The members all have happy expressions on their faces, as if they are really on a picnic on a nice spring day, and the photos have netizens smiling “motherly smiles” at the happy members. Those who saw the photos expressed their support and interest, leaving comments such as, “I’m curious about SISTAR’s picnic menu“, “Their natural image is prettier“, “I want to go on a picnic with them“, and “SISTAR is pretty no matter what they do~“.

SISTAR tops Billboard’s ‘K-Pop Hot 100′ with “Alone”

There seems to be no obstacles in the way of SISTAR‘s domination of the charts, on top of killing Korean digital and physical sales, the girls have gone on to top the Billboard ‘K-Pop Hot 100‘ chart!

On April 19th, Starship Entertainment revealed that the girls had finally put an end to Busker Busker’s position at the top by topping it with “Alone” for the third week of April.

Despite the comeback of big hit stars like 4minute and Nell, SISTAR has managed to secure their place at the top for over a week into their comeback.
