IU tops Billboard’s ‘K-Pop’s Hot 100′ Chart

Singer IU has topped Billboard‘s K-pop Chart!

As of May 17th, IU has placed 1st on Billboard ‘K-Pop’s Hot 100‘ with her title song “Every End of the Day” from her new mini-album, ‘Spring of a Twenty Year Old‘.

Following IU is Baek Ji Young‘s “Voice“, TaeTiSeo‘s “Twinkle” at 3rd, and SISTAR‘s “Alone” at 4th.

After releasing her album, IU has also brought down Ulala Session‘s recent hit “Beautiful Night” and has achieved an all-kill on the music charts, evidencing the love and support she is receiving from a wide range of audience.

Composed by Park Geun Tae and Kim Do Hoon with lyrics written by Kim Eana, “Every End of the Day” is a lively song that reminds people of old pop music with its disco style and upbeat rhythm. With IU’s bright vocals, the lyrics depict a girl deeply in love with a man, hoping that he’ll notice and make the first move.

On May 10th, WS Entertainment‘s official Twitter updated with four new photos that have shocked fans with her transformation. Taken in Sydney, Australia, the photos display Baek Ji Young in a punky yet sexy look that lends a wild feel to the atmosphere, especially with her crimped out hair.

Unlike the ballads she’s been singing for the past few years, it seems she’s definitely ready to step out of the box and make her return as the dance singer she originally debuted as.

Behind-the-scenes photos from Baek Ji Young’s MV set revealed

Ahead of her official comeback, photos from Baek Ji Young‘s music video set have been revealed.

Baek Ji Young concluded filming the music video for her new song “Voice” on April 30th. The shoot had taken place at a set located in Ilsan, where the singer was captured wearing a long, black strapless dress that exposed her collarbone and shapely legs.

Known for being an animal lover, the photos also revealed the singer posing comfortably with a dog on her lap.

A staff member from the music video set revealed, “No matter how well a dog is trained, there are a lot of situations where the dog will not pay attention during the shoot. However, because Baek Ji Young worked well with the dog, filming went very smoothly. Though the shoot took place all night, we were all able to enjoy ourselves due to Baek Ji Young’s professional attitude.”

Fans that came across the photos commented, “The way the dog is just laying down on her lap is so funny“, “She looks so comfortable with the dog“, and “I can’t wait until the music video releases!”

Singer Baek Ji Young has released a new teaser poster ahead of the release of her upcoming dance mini-album!

The poster is a teaser for “Voice“, a track off of the mini-album. Hidden behind the letter V, Baek Ji Young is seen biting her bottom lip while dressed up sporting crimped hair.

Representatives of her agency explained, “‘Voice’ is a groovy song of the R&B type with powerful beats and emotional melodies. Fans will definitely be able to feel Baek Ji Young’s new color through it. Please look forward to the featuring as well.”

A music video teaser for “Voice” will be released on May 4th, followed by the digital release on 7th and finally the mini-album’s full release on the 17th.
