B2ST’s Yoseob performs his personal ‘aegyo’ fan service on ’1 vs 100′

B2ST member Yoseob revealed how he delivers his aegyo ‘fan service’.

On the August 28th broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘1 vs 100‘, Yoseob was asked if it was true that he had the most elementary school fans among the group members.

“All the members are very popular, but I think the younger fans seem to like me a lot,” Yoseob said. The singer was then asked if he had a unique ‘fan service’ action he delivers, and Yoseob remarked, “At first when we debuted, I performed aegyo no matter what.”

However, the singer continued, “But these days it doesn’t seem to have the same effect. So nowadays, I try aegyo that comes across as a little indifferent. For example, while I’m singing, I will look towards the camera and give a little wink.”

The singer then gave a personal demonstration, melting the hearts of his fans watching from home.

B2ST and VIXX snap a friendly picture together

Boy groups B2ST and VIXX displayed their friendship with a recent picture.

On August 23rd, VIXX released the picture above on their official fan cafe, ‘RealVIXX‘, sharing the two group’s latest interaction with fans. B2ST member Yoseob also holds up VIXX’s new album in the picture, further showing his support for the rookie group.

In addition, VIXX recently selected B2ST as their role-model group, explaining, “Each member has a unique character and personality, but the 6 members also work so well as a strong team”. It was also revealed that ‘Rock Ur Body‘, VIXX’s new single, was originally made for B2ST by none other than producer Shinsadong Tiger. Sunbae group B2ST graciously passed on the song to VIXX, which brought attention from fans of both groups.

VIXX stated, “We hope our own pathway to success is similar to B2ST’s. Our goal for ‘Rock Ur Body’ is to receive more attention from the general public.”

VIXX is currently hard at work with promotions for their second single, ‘Rock Ur Body’.

B2ST members share their most recent concerns on ‘Show Champion’

The B2ST members have a lot to smile about these days, especially after earning a #1 K-Chart win on multiple music programs, but even these boys seemed to have their share of concerns.

B2ST who performed on MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘ listened to the concerns of their fellow peers, and then shared some of their own.

Kikwang began, “I have not been getting enough sleep, so my voice cracks when I hit the high notes,” while Yoseob added, “I want to grow taller,” and Yong Junhyung remarked, “I run out of breath really easily these days.”

Member Jang Hyun Seung who admitted he ate a lot of meat these days said, “I eat beef twice a day, and I’m afraid my personality will become really vicious,” and maknae Son Dongwoon hilariously confessed, “It’s so cold here right now, I don’t know what to do with myself.”

Leader Doojoon displayed his leadership as he shared, “I want B2ST to become even more successful, and I am thinking of how we can accomplish that.”

Despite their concerns, the boys seized the ‘Champion Song’ position and proved that they are currently one of the hottest idol groups in K-Pop.

Idol stars who are often mistaken as the youngest member of their group

The above collage of idol stars recently surfaced on an online community board, and is becoming a hot topic of conversation amongst netizens.

Seeing the post titled ‘Idol stars who are often mistaken for maknaes‘, fans began discussing the group members who look young for their age, sometimes even younger than their team’s actual maknaes.

The top choice was B2ST‘s Yoseob. The singer who turned 23 in Korea boasts a baby face and is often mistaken as the youngest member of his group. Likewise, 2NE1‘s Sandara Park (Dara) who was born in 1984 turns 29 in Korea this year, however, her age is not obvious, even when standing side by side with group maknae Minzy who is ten years her junior.

T-ara‘s eldest member Boram is often mistaken as the youngest member thanks to her petite frame, while 2PM‘s Wooyoung is actually a year older than youngest member Chansung. KARA‘s Seungyeon is actually 6 years older than Jiyoung.

Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon also looks extremely young for her age, and is often mistaken as the youngest member of her group.

B2ST to hold comeback performances through guerrilla concert

According to information released to allthatkpops by Cube Entertainment, B2ST is scheduled to hold a guerrilla concert at the Gwanghwamun Square at 11PM KST on July 26th.

The boy group will perform “Beautiful Night“ along with other new songs for the guerrilla stage as a comeback welcome stage in collaboration with SBS‘ ’Inkigayo‘.

The B2ST members previously alluded to the guerrilla concert on their SNS accounts, sparking the curiosity of many fans. Doojoon posted, “Tomorrow will be a beautiful night with our Beauties. Our date begins at 11PM,” while Yoseob wrote, “Hope a lot of you come tonight. Let’s have a blast,” promising an exhilarating show.

The guerrilla performances, which mark the group’s return with a new song after a year and two months, will be aired on the July 29th broadcast of ‘Inkigayo’.

In addition, the location was revealed to have been specifically chosen to complement “Beautiful Night”s enthusiastic melody and playful lyrics. Because the Gwanghwamun Square is noted as one of Seoul’s most beautiful night scenes as well as a representative location for citizens to view events such as the Olympics, it was chosen as the spot for the nationally loved boy group’s return.

Leader Doojoon stated, “I’m so glad to be able to reunite with all of you fans in a location where our nation comes together as one to passionately cheer on our country.”

In related new, B2ST will begin official promotions for “Beautiful Night” starting with KBS‘ ‘Music Bank‘ on the coming 27th.

B2ST and Psy discuss going head-to-head on music charts

At the press conference for their fifth mini-album ‘Midnight Sun‘ on the 20th, B2ST revealed that they have been enjoying Psy‘s newest tracks from ‘Gangnam Style‘.

Kikwang expressed, “We’ve been enjoying listening to Psy hyung’s songs. They’re really great. However, we are confident in our music as well.”

B2ST went up against Psy on July 15th, the release of Psy’s album and the group’s pre-release track, “Midnight“. ‘Gangnam Style’ came out on top on digital charts while “Midnight” followed closely behind.

Psy commented, “I was surprised myself because I hadn’t expected it. Since it is just a pre-release track, I don’t think it’s fair to call it a full-on battle.”

B2ST’s title track is scheduled for release on the morning of July 22nd, when they’ll be stepping away from their clean image for a more rebellious feel with “Beautiful Night”.

Yoseob stated, “I wanted to put what we learned from our world tour into the album. I learned how to have fun on stage. I feel that there haven’t been many opportunities for us to truly communicate with our fans on stage so far, as our performances have focused more on getting our choreography synchronized or shouting energetically on our own. We lacked communication with the audience, so that’s what [we] wanted to focus on this time. [We] want to show that we, too, are free-spirited men who know what being cool is.”

As of the 21st KST, Psy is leading on major digital charts like Melon and Mnet.

B2ST’s Yoseob expresses his confidence in B2ST’s new album

B2ST is coming back in a year and two months with their 5th mini album, ‘Midnight Sun‘. They have put aside their previous sound and to challenge themselves with an electronic-synth pop genre for the first time.

The change is big especially for the main vocalist Yoseob who has a solo dance segment for the performance of “It’s Not Me“. He shared, “I’m shy about dancing but I think the choreographer gave me a solo dance in order to tell me to have more confidence in dancing.”

When talking about the musical transformation, Yoseob revealed, “After contemplating with the members, we decided on the album’s direction and we think we have produced the best album. I’m also confident about the transformation.”

Meanwhile, B2ST will have their first comeback stage on the 27th with performances of “Beautiful Night” and “It’s Not Me” on KBS‘ ‘Music Bank‘.

B2ST releases album cover photos for Hyunseung, Yoseob, and Kikwang!

Having unveiled a variety of teasers and hints along with the pre-release of “Midnight“, B2ST is back with two new photos featuring Hyunseung, Yoseob, and Kikwang!

The revealed photos are photos from their album jacket and once again show the 180 degree transformations of the members much like the previous photos released yesterday.

The playful poses depicted in the photos also hint at the fresh and playful sound of their upcoming title track, “Beautiful Night“, which is said to be a dramatic dance track from the electro-synth pop genre.

B2ST sends a special gift to a 13 year old fan battling cancer

B2ST has been revealed to have sent a very special present to a 13 year old fan who’s currently battling cancer.

On B2ST’s official fancafe, a person claiming to be a missionary wrote a post stating, “Please help 13 year old Seohyun (alias) who’s currently fighting cancer.” Revealing that she was receiving stage three of chemotherapy, the post went on to state, “Seohyun has now shaved off all of her hair and refuses to look in the mirror. She is so beautiful, and yet she does not want to take off her hat even while in bed. Her lips are chapped and it is difficult for her to speak or eat, so she’s also lost a lot of weight. She’s in deep sadness, always asking why she must suffer such pain. The only consolation she has is B2ST. She yearns for their autograph.”

The post eventually made its way to the eyes of the B2ST members, and they promptly sent a special gift box filled with not only their autographed CDs, but also their photobooks and a handwritten letter. Although it might not seem much, the present meant the world to Seohyun. To her friends, she left messages stating, “It’s really B2ST! Doojoon oppa and Yoseob oppa wrote me a letter, and the rest of the oppas even left autographs! I’m so happy.”

The missionary spoke with Sports World and expressed, “Seohyun has reached adolescence, and with that came the depression of having to endure her chemotherapy treatments. After receiving B2ST’s gifts, she was extremely happy and now has a positive outlook on life. Fortunately, she’ll be able to complete the rest of her chemotherapy and return to her hometown to continue her treatments.”

A representative of Cube Entertainment also expressed, “We feel pressured knowing that something we definitely should have done has made it out to the public eye. We’re well aware that B2ST fans are involved with charities and volunteer work, and the B2ST members are so very touched by it and aim to do whatever they can to help out.”

Doojoon and Yoseob added, “We’re just grateful that Seohyun likes B2ST despite her difficult situation. We hope that she gets better soon so that we can all meet up.”

B2ST and B2UTIES are no strangers to good deeds. Back at their ‘Beautiful Show‘ concert in February, fans donated 5,835.9 kg of rice wreaths and 8,036 briquettes. Yoseob’s fans also headlined for gathering donations to help children suffering from incurable diseases.

Prepix’s Haw releases choreography video feat. iLL & B2ST’s Yoseob

After releasing a teaser image and promising to release a dance video featuring B2ST‘s Yang Yoseob, Prepix Crew‘s leader Haw has delivered by officially releasing the full clip!

“He is [the] main vocal, but you can find his hidden talents on this vid!,” Haw had previously written, causing fans to become all-the-more eager to see Yoseob’s moves.

Main vocal Yoseob sure did not disappoint, showcasing his hidden high-level B-boy talent as he danced to Craig David‘s “What’s Your Flava“.

Yoseob and Eunji to collaborate for ‘A Cube For Season’

We reported earlier that BEAST‘s Yoseob and A Pink‘s Eunji had been photographed working together.

It turns out the picture had been taken during A Cube‘s new project, ‘A Cube For Season‘, and Yoseob and Eunji came together for a collaboration for the new project.

A representative from A Cube stated, “At the end of February, the two worked really well together in the recording studio even though it was their first time, and showed that they truly are the best main vocalists in the greatest idol groups.  They recorded late into the night, but being already close as part of the Cube Family, they joked around and recorded in a great atmosphere.“

The first project single by Yoseob and Eunji will be released on the 14th through various online music sites.

BEAST’s Yoseob and A Pink’s Eunji spotted together

What’s going on between BEAST‘s Yoseob and A Pink‘s Eunji?

Earlier today, A Pink‘s agency A-Cube tweeted the above picture of two artists hanging out together. The picture is causing quite the stir among fans, as it features two famous idols looking friendly with Yoseob looking at her with a gentle expression on his face.

But not to worry, for those BEAST and A Pink fans out there! It seems like the two have gotten together to work on perhaps an upcoming collaboration, for the two groups have a history working with each other. BEAST’s agency, Cube Entertainment, and A Pink‘s A-Cube agency have a very close relationship, and the two idol groups worked together on CFs as well as performances on stage. In fact, some of the A Pink members have spent their trainee days at Cube Entertainment.

With all that said, it seems like the picture will bring a lot of attention to the two idols and whatever they’re working on together.

B2ST’s Yang Yoseob designs a special towel for his fans

Boy group BEAST is preparing for their upcoming World Tour, and they have prepared a little surprise for their fans.

The boys will kick off the Tour with their first performance at the Olympic Hall Gymnastic Stadium on February 4th, and they want to make sure each performance is special and a unique experience for the fans.

BEAST’s vocal Yang Yoseob personally designed a unique towel, and 100 towels will be distributed to the fans. On it, he drew some cartoon figures and wrote, ‘BEAUTY (BEAST fan club) is the best’.

A BEAST representative informed StarNews on the 30th, “The towels were Yoseob’s idea, and he wants to surprise the fans with a unique gift. The drawings aren’t perfect, but they will serve as a nice gift to give out at the performances.”

Fellow member Son Dongwoon also previously captured the hearts of his fans with his own ‘fan service’. Over the summer, he put stickers on his fans and offered them a cold drink, while in the winter, he passed out heat packs to keep them warm.

BEAST will be traveling to Asia, Europe, and more for their World Tour, and they will also be performing their song “I Knew It” for the very first time. The other songs will be released one at a time as digital singles.

The boys are currently climbing the music charts with their songs, however, they do not have any plans to perform on public TV anytime soon.

Yoseob’s fan cafe donates $3,000 to non-profit organizations

Idol group BEAST member Yang Yoseob recently celebrated his 22nd birthday on January 5th.

In celebration of his birthday, his independent fan cafe ‘Soulmate‘ decided to donate over $3,000 to ‘Yeouldol‘, a non-profit organization that aids children with rare and incurable diseases.

‘Soulmate’ has been donating to the cause on Yoseob’s birthday on an annual basis ever since his debut, and this time Yoseob also personally signed calendars for the children.

Yoseob along with the other BEAST members were awarded the ‘Artist of the Year‘ award at the year-end ceremonies, as well as the ‘Song of the Year‘ award for their hit song “Fiction“. This February, the boys will begin their world tour, covering 21 cities and 14 countries total, including England, Spain, United States, Canada, Singapore, and Japan.

B2ST’s Yoseob voted as most “huggable” in recent poll

BEAST‘s Yoseob was voted as the star that fans wanted to hug most in a recent poll.

To celebrate the unofficial ‘Hug Day’ in Korea, SNS site UFO Town recently held a poll asking “The star I want most to give me a warm hug during the cold winter.”

Yoseob received 25% of the votes, with B1A4‘s Jinyoung and Baro coming in at 2nd and 3rd respectively. Meanwhile, INFINITE‘s L got 4th. As for the runner-ups, TEEN TOP‘s L. Joe,F.T. Island‘s Hongki, Boyfriend‘s Young Min, and T-ara‘s Hyomin also received a lot of votes.

The poll ran from November 17th to December 11th, earning a total of 1200 votes through text messages.

BEAST‘s Yoseob has transformed into a ‘Chedae Homme’.

On November 19th, Yoseob uploaded a selca through his Twitter, tweeting, “Today, I am aChedae Homme, too.” [Note:  ''Chedae Homme' is an informal term used to describe a person going to an athletic university, chedae is the abbreviation of the first two letters of athletic university.]

In the revealed picture, Yoseob is wearing a blue athletic jacket, drawing a surprised expression while looking into the camera.  On this day, Yoseob participated in the 2011 K-league 6-team playoff celebrity soccer team, FC MEN Miracle FC.

Netizens stated, “You look totally manly“, “Even as a Chedae Homme, you can’t hide your cute pose“, “Yoseob who looks good in an athletic suit“, and “I want to see you play soccer“.

Meanwhile, BEAST recently participated in the MBC TV drama ‘Me too, Flower‘ through the OST “I Dream a Dream“.
