Kim Jae Dong laments about his bachelor life after news of HaHa’s engagement

Kim Jae Dong was recently spotted joking about his bitter bachelor life through his Twitter following HaHa‘s announcement of his engagement to singer Byul.

Kim Jae Dong began by jokingly tweeting his jealousy, “I’m going to take all of the wedding invitations I’ve received and use them to heat up my room this winter by lighting them on fire. HaHa. Send me your wedding date through text. I’m not as nice of a senior as you think to hold on to and treasure the wedding invitations of youngsters. I do congratulate you. I guess the order of marriage isn’t based on height.”

HaHa replied back, “Let’s just say I’m getting married first because I’m taller than you~! Hyung… I love you.”

The two went on exchanging a few more tweets with Kim Jae Dong later cleverly expressing his bitterness by putting a play on words with HaHa’s fiance’s name, Byul (which means ‘star’ in Korean) by adding, “You are living on a different star now while I’m still living on Earth. When you look down on Earth sometimes and see something sparkling, just know that those are my eyes.. Oh by the way, I’m not sending you any money for your wedding. Don’t contact me anymore. Phone banking won’t work anymore either since you’re on a different star now.”

Netizens commented back on their interaction, “Congratulations to HaHa”, “Kim Jae Dong needs to get married soon as well”, and “This news flew out of no where! Congratulations anyway.”

Having dated for six months, HaHa has announced that he and Byul have decided to get married on November 30th. Due to the sudden announcement of their engagement, some raised rumors of it being a shotgun wedding but representatives were quick to put the rumors to rest.

Representatives explained, “It is not a shotgun wedding. HaHa felt that now that he’s certain he wants to marry her, he no longer felt the need to hide it from the world. He has a very honest personality.”

‘Healing Camp’ cast criticized for improper etiquette during 2012 London Olympics

The cast of SBS ‘Healing Camp’ is receiving some flak over their perceived lack of manners in the latest episode.

To celebrate the 2012 London Olympics, the cast of ‘Healing Camp’ – Lee Kyung Gyu, Han Hye Jin, and Kim Jae Dong – flew out to Great Britain to interview some of the South Korean athletes.

The incident arose when they visited the arena for Korean rifleman Jin Jong Oh, who was competing at the time. When it was confirmed that he would be winning the gold, the cast shouted loudly in surprise then quickly sat back down after disapproving looks from the audience. According to proper etiquette, the audience must remain quiet until all of the shooters have finished the competition, since shooting takes extreme precision and a high level of focus.

Viewers expressed their disappointment at both the cast and the editors. “I finally figured out who was behind that embarrassing scream,” one viewer criticized. “I think an apology is in order.”

Others criticized the poor editing, wondering if the scene couldn’t have been cut out. “Did they want the cast to suffer? That scene could have been edited out easily.”

Lee Hyori reveals she went through therapy after the plagiarism controversy

On the April 23rd broadcast of ‘Healing Camp,’ Lee Hyori spoke about the six songs from her 4th album that were found to be plagiarized and caused much controversy at the time.

Lee Hyori said, “I had a heavy burden after ‘U Go Girl.’  I needed a song that would be even better then ‘U Go Girl’ and through an acquaintance I received a song from a rookie song writer and really liked it.  I did not find out too much about the song writer and just took the songs.”

She continued, “The six songs that were deemed to be plagiarized were not songs that were well known, nor did they have copyright restrictions.  Even if we tried to find out about the songs it would have been tough.  After releasing my 4th album I was accused of plagiarism and received an email form the original creator of the songs.”

The rookie song writer sent me 200 songs and all of them were plagiarized.  I asked him why he plagiarized all these songs but all he could say to me was sorry.  That song writer is currently in prison,” she solemnly said, earning the sympathy of the MCs.

Lee Hyori expressed her feelings saying, “There were some rumors going around saying that I received the songs even though I knew they were plagiarized, but if that were true, I would have caused a lot of damage and would have to live with it.  Those are ridiculous rumors.  All I could do after my songs were revealed to be plagiarized was to drink at home.  But through Kim Jae Dong’s advice, I went through therapy and made myself not dwell on bad thoughts.
