HaHa discovers a picture of himself in his alma mater school

Comedian and artist HaHa went through a small but proud moment on ‘Running Man‘ when he discovered a picture of himself hanging prominently in his alma mater.

During the final race portion of the episode, which took place in a university in the city of Pochun, HaHa was strolling the corridors when he noticed, “I think this is our theater and film department,” he said.

No sooner had he said that when he found a poster-sized picture of himself gracing the walls of his school. “This is definitely my alma mater,” he said, quite proud of himself.

Jung Hyung Don is Psy’s Doppelganger?

Gagman Jung Hyung Don has perfectly transformed to ‘Beijing Psy’.

On the ‘Infinity Challenge‘ aired on the 8th, the first part of ‘As I promised’ episode was broadcasted as a sequel of last month’s ‘As I Said’ episode. In order to make a parody of the “Gangnam Style” music video at a museum in Beijing, Jung Hyung Don dressed up as Psy and surprised everyone with his similarity to the singer.

HaHa, who took on the role of a producer, made a 8:2 part in Hyung Don’s hair and combed the hair back with plenty of mousse. He even made him wear a suit and sunglasses just like Psy.

Beijing Team, made up of Jung Hyung Don, HaHa, Defconn, Noh Hong Chul, was given the mission to eat jjajangmyun at the Great Wall of China and film ‘Beijing Style’. The opposing team made up of Jung Joon Ho, Yoo Jae Suk, Park Myung Soo, and Gil had to visit Dokdo Island and  serve cold bean-soup noodles and radish noodles and make a music video for  ’Dokdo Style’.

However, the plans for Dokdo Island was forced to be pushed back due to the Typhoon Bolaven. Even though they could not go to the island, the cast promised within themselves to visit later and turned back.

Video of a young Byul (HaHa’s fiance) revealed on ‘Infinity Challenge’

A video of a young Byul has been revealed.

On the August 25th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘, HaHa revealed the full story of his relationship with Byul.

On this day, MC Yoo Jae Suk introduced the couple to the viewers in detail. Yoo Jae Suk stated, “Byul has a very interesting record“, followed by a video clip of a 12 year old Byul on KBS‘s ‘Nationwide Singing Contest’ back in 1994.

In the video, Byul displayed her strong vocal skills with her cute and innocent appearance. Afterwards, a video of Byul’s performance of her debut track ‘December 32nd‘ was revealed.

HaHa expresses his infinite love for Byul on ‘Infinity Challenge’

Comedian HaHa showed his infinite love for his fiance Byul on MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘!

On the August 25th episode of ‘Infinity Challenge’, the members fully covered HaHa and Byul’s marriage story during their mini-section ‘Infinity News’.

HaHa sent his fiance a video message by starting, “Go Eun (Byul’s Korean name). I used to joke around by asking you to get married with me, but I can’t believe this is actually happening. I still have a long way to go, but thank you for trusting me and I will make sure to become the best guy you could ever have.”

He added on, “I used to be scared of getting married. This is only possible because it’s you. I love you. I’ll see you during the wedding.”

During ‘Infinity News’, HaHa reacted to the ‘shotgun marriage’ rumors by confessing that Byul is religious and committed to chastity. Although HaHa confessed that he felt ‘stressed’, he still was able to protect his fiance and seemed excited about their wedding night as he jokingly said, “I will pour all my energy and bring out the inner beast in me.“ The comedian finished off his message by hilariously saying, “Let’s happily live together. And honestly it’s been really difficult for me. There’s a devil growing inside of me… I need you.”

While HaHa was giving out this touching message to his soon-to-be wife, the rest of the members started distracting HaHa by messing up his attire and hair. Despite this, HaHa successfully delivered his hilarious yet touching message to his fiance, whom he described as, “Sexy, but also cute. Cute and innocent, but also sexy.”

‘Infinity Challenge’ members to reveal their reactions to HaHa’s wedding news

On the August 25th episode of MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘, HaHa will be disclosing his full feelings on his wedding announcement through ‘Infinity News’!

HaHa held his press conference officially announcing his wedding back on the 15th in Ilsan, and straight after the conference, the members of ‘Infinity Challenge’ had gathered for a special recording to congratulate HaHa on the good news. Despite it not being a day where they were originally scheduled to all gather, the members made sure that they took time out of their busy schedules to make it happen.

Yoo Jae Suk revealed that he was actually the first to hear about it and talked about what it was like when he found out. As for Noh Hong Chul, he revealed that he had actually collapsed to the floor after finding out!

The episode will also feature a ‘You Go to Hawaii’ special where the members must go through a grueling 10 step mission to win tickets to Hawaii.

HaHa to host his own talk show, ‘HaHa’s 19TV Mutiny’

Groom-to-be HaHa will be hosting his first talk show.

On August 23rd, MBC Music announced, “HaHa will be hosting a reality talk show ‘HaHa’s 19TV Mutiny‘. ‘HaHa’s 19TV Mutiny’ will be a perfect blend of his natural style and his energetic self that HaHa has shown through variety shows.”

Since debuting in 2001, this will be the first time he will be the main host of a show program. Some are saying that HaHa has really hit the jackpot as he’s becoming an MC for his own show and will soon be getting married to singer Byul on November 30th.

The director for HaHa’s show, MBC Music’s Kwon Young Chan PD, expressed, “I wanted a talk show that is different from the stereotypical talk show, and I naturally started thinking of HaHa.” He continued, “‘HaHa’s 19TV Mutiny’ will bring entertainment with HaHa’s natural uniqueness and truthfulness.”

‘HaHa’s 19TV Munity’ will feature discussions regarding money, life, business, mother-in-law daughter-in-law relationships, relationship problems, and various ’19+’ topics that adults have been curious about in an honest manner. The show’s first airing is planned for the beginning of September.

Byul wishes fiance HaHa a happy birthday

On August 20 KST, singer Byul congratulated her soon-to-be-husband HaHa on his 33rd birthday.

She posted to Twitter: “Happy Birthday To U ~~ ♥“, along with a cute photograph of her wearing birthday cake sunglasses.

Shin Bora calls out HaHa during ‘Gag Concert’

Comedian Shin Bora sent a brave message to the newly engaged couple Byul and HaHa.

On August 19th’s airing of ‘Gag Concert‘ Shin Bora said during the ‘Brave Guys‘ (or ‘Brave Rascals‘) segment, “HaHa, who appeared on the 12th’s segment of ‘Discoveries of Life’, listen closely. While we were practicing you told me ‘you’re pretty,’ ‘you’re good at acting,’ and ‘you have so much charm.’ Is that how you got Byul to fall for you?”

To congratulate the wedding of the couple, Shin Bora began to sing Byul’s hit song “Greeting“, but brought laughs as she emphasized the line, “We can’t love, even if we miss each other, we can’t meet“.

To this, fellow Brave Guys member Park Sung Kwang asked, “Why are you being like this?” Shin Bora then replied with a mock sad face, “Because I’m jealous. He made my heart flutter slightly during that moment.”

HaHa’s childhood friends auditioned for his mother before coming over to play?

Singer HaHa admitted that his mother used to screen his friends before he was allowed to play with them.

On the August 20th broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Hello‘, HaHa surprised everyone when he opened up about his mother’s exorbitant love for him.

“Even when she makes me instant ramen, she cooks it in ox tail broth and fortifies it with vitamins,” he began. “And when it came to my friends, she would hold three-step auditions before they were permitted to play with me.”

He added, “The first was to assess their politeness and etiquette, the second was to assess how well they sang children’s songs, and the third to see how well they solved math problems. Only when they passed all three, could they play with me.”

MC Shin Dong Yup then asked what his mother thought of reggae singer Skull, and HaHa caused everyone to burst into laughs when he gave an indirect answer by joking, “I don’t talk to my mother too often these days.”

HaHa promises to become an “animal” for Byul?

Singer and comedian HaHa made a shocking announcement during his appearance on ‘Section TV Entertainment Relay’ concerning his upcoming marriage with singer Byul.

“We become lawfully married on November 30th,” he said. “On that day, I’ll show her what an animal acts like.”

His full announcement, plus a special video message to his legions of elementary school fans, will be shown through the episode to be aired on the 19th.

Animal version of ‘Running Man’ members draws much laughter

Recently, a cartoon titled ‘Running Man Animal Version‘ surfaced on the web, and is drawing much attention.

The picture was a portrayal of each cast member of SBS‘s variety program ‘Running Man‘, as an animal that most fits their character on the show.

The illustrator drew Yoo Jae Suk as as a grasshopper, Kim Jong Gook as a tiger, HaHa as a penguin (Pororo), Song Ji Hyo as a cat, Lee Kwang Soo as a giraffe, Gary as a monkey, and Ji Suk Jin as an Impala, highlighting each member’s character with his/her choice.

HaHa and Byul spotted on their first date after wedding announcement

HaHa and Byul have been spotted on their first public date since announcing their wedding.

The couple was seen on August 18 KST at the 2012 Paldo Professional Baseball game between the Lotte Giants and Nexen Heroes. HaHa and Skull participated in the ceremonial first pitch the same day.

HaHa is reported to have joined Byul in the stadium seats after the pitch, even sending a peace sign to the flashing cameras. Though he seemed at ease with the whole situation, apparently, his fiancee was more shy. Both are described as being incredibly comfortable and relaxed during the public date, however.

The groom-to-be shocked fans on the 15th when he officially announced his upcoming wedding with Byul at a press conference. The wedding is set for November 30 of this year.

Byul to join fiance HaHa’s agency!

It has recently been revealed that HaHa‘s fiancee, Byul, will be joining his entertainment company.

A representative of HaHa’s agency, QUAN Entertainment stated, “Our agency is like a family. If she marries HaHa then of course the two of them will work together.“ They continued, “Byul is preparing to hopefully release an album in October before the wedding.”

During a press conference held on the 15th, HaHa also stated, “Byul is planning to release an album with my agency soon. All of the preparations have been completed.”

Byul, who debuted as a female solo artist in 2002, released a single track titled ‘Smile and Smile‘ last October with the group Wasabi Sound.

Meanwhile, HaHa and Byul were revealed to have been acquainted for eight years, but the couple only started their relationship this past March. Their wedding is planned for November 30th this year!

HaHa expressed his jealousy over a past “wedding photo” of MC Yoo Jae Suk with singer and fiancee Byul.

After holding a press conference regarding his wedding plans with Byul, HaHa received the above photo on Twitter. One netizen decided to send him a hilarious wedding photo of Yoo Jae Suk and Byul with a message that reads, “Hyung! Are you still going to praise Yoo Jae Suk after this?” The photo was from a past SBS show on which Yoo Jae Suk and Byul had to dress up as groom and bride.

HaHa reacted to the photo by replying, “What is this! Yoo… Yoo-Neu-Nim (a play on words for ‘Lord Yoo Jae Suk’)… *Falls to the ground*“. HaHa then jokingly asked Byul, “What is this. Explain now,” who tweeted back, “Uhm.. uhm.. I’m sorry.”

Yoon Do Hyun reveals that he had known about HaHa’s marriage plans prior to announcement

Singer Yoon Do Hyun revealed that he was one of the few who had known of HaHa and Byul‘s marriage plans.

On the August 15th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘, after airing the news footage of the marriage announcement, Girls‘ Generation‘s Sooyoung commented, “I congratulate HaHa on his marriage, but I feel like he will also receive a lot of resentment. Even the people around him seemed to not know of his [marriage plan], how about you, Yoon Do Hyun?”

To this, Yoon Do Hyun replied, “I knew. I found out not too long ago. HaHa did very well in fooling even those who were close to him. Congratulations on your marriage. I sincerely congratulate you both.”

HaHa and Byul are planning to get married on November 30th of this year after dating for just a short 6 months, causing many to speculate whether this is a shotgun wedding. HaHa denied all these claims and stated, “This is absolutely not a shotgun wedding. I have never went that far“.

HaHa puts the ‘shotgun wedding’ rumors to rest

HaHa who recently announced his engagement spoke out in regards to the ‘shotgun wedding’ rumors that have been spreading.

At a press conference that was held at MBC Dream Center on August 15th, HaHa remarked, “It is definitely not a shotgun wedding.”

Being completely himself, HaHa evoked laughs by saying, “Like I said on ‘Happy Together‘, because I am only human, I want to do racy things and am at an age where I should be. It’s hard for me as a man.”

Perhaps revealing a bit too much, HaHa honestly added, “I don’t want to go into details, but we’ve never gone all the way.” The laughs on set continued as he added, “It is definitely not a shotgun wedding, and I plan on spending quite an erotic time during our honeymoon.”

Fellow ‘Infinity Challenge‘ cast member Park Myung Soo congratulated HaHa on his upcoming wedding.

During the most recent episode of ‘Park Myung Soo’s Moving TV‘, Park Myung Soo stated, “Congratulations on your marriage HaHa. Live a happy life.”

He revealed he had known about the marriage three weeks prior to HaHa’s announcement, stating, “Don’t you think the ‘Infinity Challenge’ members will do something special for your wedding? Look forward to it.”

Park Myung Soo also added, “I believe HaHa’s wedding is five days after the ‘Infinity Challenge Concert’. Maybe HaHa will propose during the concert.”

HaHa holds press conference about his upcoming wedding with Byul

On August 15th, HaHa held a press conference regarding his wedding plans with singer Byul, and revealed details about their relationship as well as answering the questions of reporters.

He revealed the reason behind the sudden announcement, stating, “To be honest, starting from when I became thirty, in addition to the influence from my hyungs and my friends, I had decided to put my life’s focus on creating a happy family. I thought about marriage, and I wanted to get married fast and live a stable and comfortable life.”

HaHa continued, “I wanted to get married quickly and create a family fast. Since a while ago, I would joke with Byul, ‘You’re going to end up marrying me.’ Because we were both single, I started off asking Go Eun (Byul) about marriage rather than dating.”

“Although I’m living as Haroro, I’m 34 years old in reality. I have many friends that have two or more kids and unfortunately one that’s divorced. Anyways, I’m at the optimal age for marriage. After the articles were published, I think many suffered from a mental shock rather than remembering to send messages of congratulations, but I expected that. I am also quite bewildered myself.”

The singer and entertainer also showed his affections for his bride-to-be as he stated, “She has many things that I don’t have. She’s modest, cute, innocent, and sexy. She sings really well too. And most of all, she’s very good to her parents. She’s a good daughter. I am not so good to my parents but she’s very good to them. I thought to myself that I could marry a woman like her.”

When asked about their pet names for one another, Haha bashfully revealed that the two called each other “yeobo” which translates into “honey” or “darling”, a term that is used by married couples in Korea. “Byul is quite shy, so I tried to get her used to the term by calling her ‘yeobo’ first… Byul naturally started calling me ‘yeobo’ as well. It’s not that we’re calling each other ‘yeobo’ in a serious sense, but more in a cute way,” Haha shared.

As mentioned previously, HaHa and Byul were friends for 7-8 years, but only started to seriously date starting around March of this year. The two have clarified that the reason for this marriage announcement is not because Byul is pregnant, but that because they are sure of their decision to become life partners. The couple will tie the knot on November 30th.
