B2ST to make special guest appearance on ‘Gag Concert’





B2ST will make a special guest appearance on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Gag Concert‘.


The B2ST members filmed for the show on the 5th and surprised the audience with their sense of humor. B2ST also took part in the popular segment ‘Lifestyle Discoveries’ and acted alongside comedians Shin Bora and Song Jun Geun with Kikwang playing the role of Shin Bora’s new boyfriend and the other members acting as his friends.

Shin Bora calls out HaHa during ‘Gag Concert’





Comedian Shin Bora sent a brave message to the newly engaged couple Byul and HaHa.


On August 19th’s airing of ‘Gag Concert‘ Shin Bora said during the ‘Brave Guys‘ (or ‘Brave Rascals‘) segment, “HaHa, who appeared on the 12th’s segment of ‘Discoveries of Life’, listen closely. While we were practicing you told me ‘you’re pretty,’ ‘you’re good at acting,’ and ‘you have so much charm.’ Is that how you got Byul to fall for you?


To congratulate the wedding of the couple, Shin Bora began to sing Byul’s hit song “Greeting“, but brought laughs as she emphasized the line, “We can’t love, even if we miss each other, we can’t meet“.


To this, fellow Brave Guys member Park Sung Kwang asked, “Why are you being like this?” Shin Bora then replied with a mock sad face, “Because I’m jealous. He made my heart flutter slightly during that moment.”

‘Brave Rascals’ remind sasaeng fans that they are the ‘face’ of their favorite celebrities on ‘Gag Concert’





Brave Rascals member Jung Tae Ho took a stab at sasaeng fans on the latest broadcast of ‘Gag Concert‘.


On the August 12th episode, the issue of sasaeng fans was brought up by Jung Tae Ho, one of the members of the comedic team Brave Rascals, who stated, “All you fans who like celebrities, listen up. Fans have the immense power to make good things bad and bad things good.”


“Why? Because fans are essentially the face of the celebrities,” he explained, reminding extreme or sasaeng fans that their actions can change the way a celebrity is reflected upon in the public’s eye.


To his bold statement, fellow Brave Rascals member, Shin Bora, added, “Sunbaenim, what are you going to do if their fans start saying something?” To this, Park Sung Kwan tried to hilariously reassure Shin Bora, stating, “We have fans too. It’s okay. Don’t worry. We have 31 members in our fan club.”

Comedian Shin Bora gives idol groups some ‘brave’ advice on ‘Gag Concert’





Comedia Shin Bora recently spoke out in light of the current controversy surrounding the T-ara incident.


On the most recent broadcast of the ‘Brave Rascals‘ corner of KBS‘s Gag Concert, Shin Bora started, “Listen up idols. You’re going to have to remember that with great popularity comes great responsibility.


The comedian continued, “Youth follow your fashion and sing-along to your songs. But they also follow the bad examples you set.” She finally added, ”Remember this. Idols are truly the idols of children everywhere.


On the same episode, Jung Tae Ho took a blow at the numerous misjudgment controversies that have occurred at the current 2012 London Olympics.

Brave Rascals take a stab at teamwork in idol groups in light of T-ara’s controversy





The ‘Brave Rascals‘ team, Park Sung Kwang, Jung Tae Ho, Shin Bora, and Yang Sun Il, from a popular segment of KBS‘s ‘Gag Concert‘, recently commented on the topic of teamwork in idol groups in light of the recent controversy that has caught everyone’s attention recently.


On the August 1st shoot of the show, the team summed up the current issue with their parody on T-ara’s controversy.


“Teamwork should be good,” the group told the audience and proceeded to demonstrate an example of their good teamwork. However, when one member made a mistake, the other members were quick to call out, “Get out!“, gaining the laughs and applause of the audience with their parody.

Park Han Byul tweets a photo taken with Shin Bora and Song Joon Geun from ‘The Discovery of Life’







Actress Park Han Byul recently shared a photo taken with comedians Shin Bora and Song Joon Geun, who are part of the segment, ‘The Discovery of Life‘ on KBS‘s ‘Gag Concert‘.


On July 1st, the actress tweeted, “It has already been several months since I’ve been hooked on ‘Gag Concert’. I’ll be appearing on ‘The Discovery of Life’ today! I took part in the filming as if I had fallen into the TV. Amazing. Tonight! Please don’t miss it! Hehe.”


Upon seeing the photo, fans left various comments such as, “Totally looking forward to it!“, “Wow, you’re appearing on ‘Gag Concert’?!“, and “I can’t wait to see the interaction between you and Shin Bora.”


‘The Discovery of Life’ is a skit that reflects what happens when a couple breaks up and is known for inviting popular stars on its weekly segment. The July 1st broadcast of ‘Gag Concert – The Discovery of Life’ consisted of actress Park Han Byul, who played the role of Song Joon Geun’s new girlfriend.


In a related news, Park Han Byul will be making a comeback through horror movie, ‘Two Moons‘ which will hit theaters on July 12th.

Shin Bora talks about Ji Hyun Woo & Yoo In Na on this week’s ‘Gag Concert’





Comedienne Shin Bora shared a brave remark that hinted at a bitter truth for the new couple, Ji Hyun Woo & Yoo In Na.


For the June 24th episode of KBS‘s ‘Gag Concert‘, Shin Bora took the stage in the skit titled ‘Brave Rascals‘ and made a reference to actor Ji Hyun Woo’s love confession to actress Yoo In Na.


Ji Hyun Woo, you’re a very brave rascal,” she said. “Yoo In Na, are you happy? Listen carefully. Ji Hyun Woo enlists next month.”


She then began to sing the lyrics, “When your boyfriend enlists, wait for two years. Wait for two years by meeting another guy,” inciting waves of laughter from the audience.


Meanwhile, Shin Bora is receiving much interest for her talented vocals. The comedienne participated in the OST Part 2 of SBS‘s drama ‘Phantom‘. Titled “Crying With Longing“, the smooth ballad track was composed by Brandon Fraley, Jamelle Fraley, and Cyndy Morgan with lyrics by Seo Hye Won.

Shin Bora discusses her kiss scene with Song Joong Ki + sends a love call to Gong Yoo





Comedienne Shin Bora sat down with reporter Kim Tae Jin for an interview for the June 23rd installment of KBS‘s ‘Entertainment Weekly – Guerilla Date


During the interview, Shin Bora was asked about her kiss scene with actor Song Joong Ki on ‘Gag Concert‘ to which she simply replied saying, “Aren’t I good at acting? I liked it.


Reporter Kim Tae Jin then asked the comedienne who she wishes to invite for the skit, ‘The Discovery of Life’. Shin Bora ended up selecting actor Gong Yoo, who’s currently starring in KBS’s Monday-Tuesday drama, ‘Big‘.


She then sent a love call to the actor saying, “I would like to have an opportunity to improve my acting ability with your help.”


Upon watching the broadcast, viewers left comments such as, “She’s very forward about her love call to Gong Yoo“, “I wonder if he’ll really appear as a guest on the skit“, and “I want to see her acting with Gong Yoo.”

KARA’s Goo Hara reveals past photo taken with comedian Jang Dong Min







KARA‘s Goo Hara revealed a past photo she took with comedian Jang Dong Min.


On June 18th, Hara posted the photo above on her Twitter and wrote, “When I was a first year in high school, my friends and I came to Seoul to watch Gag Concert, and I was so happy that I took a picture with oppa!” After, Hara added, “It’s a picture of a cherished memory.”


In the photo, a much younger and bashful-looking Hara is wearing a modest school uniform while posing for the camera. Comedian Jang Dong Min displayed his friendly nature, kindly wrapping his arms around Hara and her friend.


Fans commented, “Interesting,” “She has been pretty since high school,” and “The tables have turned now.

Wonder Girls make a hilarious cameo on ‘Gag Concert’





This week’s episode of KBS‘s ‘Gag Concert‘ consisted of the Wonder Girls taking part in the segment ‘The Discovery of Life‘, a very popular skit that reflects what happens when a couple breaks up.


Maknae Sohee was the first to appear on the skit, playing the role of Song Joon Geun‘s new girlfriend which, of course,  led ex-girlfriend Shin Bora to become enraged with jealousy.


The rest of the members were soon called onto the stage as they began dancing to their new title track “Like This“. They then parodied Shin Bora’s other segment on ‘Gag Concert’, ‘Brave Rascals‘.


Hyerim began by releasing her frustration regarding the way the staff members treated her on ‘Gag Concert’. “Listen up, staff members at ‘Gag Concert’. I was in the waiting room by myself earlier and one of them walked in asking, ‘Are the Wonder Girls here?’ Hul! I’m right here! My name is Hyerim. If you don’t know me, go watch ‘Gag Concert’!


Yenny then stood face to face with Shin Bora and made a spiteful remark saying, “I’ve noticed your popularity is sky-rocketing these days. But if you come to ‘Music Bank’, you’re just onami (to us).


Lastly, leader Sunye decided to say a few words to JYP Entertainment CEO, J.Y. Park. “JYP, are you watching? Listen carefully.” Sunye then caused the audience to roar in laughter as she deadpanned, “Stop adding the JYP whispers into our songs!

Comedian Shin Bora disses TaeTiSeo’s stage name





 


Comedian Shin Bora dissed yet another celebrity – this time Girls’ Generation’s unit group, TaeTiSeo.


On the May 20th broadcast of KBS‘s ‘Gag Concert‘, she yelled, “Girls’ Generation“, making the crowd taken aback. Shin Bora then complained, “Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun. Taking out each of their front letters, they formed TaeTiSeo. That name is lame.”


She then joked, “Then what about 2NE1‘s Gong Minzy, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and CL? Should they be called Gong San Park Shi? Right now Gong San Park Shi is saying, ‘I am the Best“.


Comedian, Shin Bora is famous for her disses against celebrities on Gag Concert. In the past, she has made fun of numerous celebrities including Lady Gaga.

Lee Hyori sets record as the longest-running soju model





Top star Lee Hyori has set the record as the longest-running soju model.


According to Lotte Liquor, Lee Hyori has renewed her contract as an endorsement model for soju brand Cheoeum Cheoreom (like the first time) on May 2nd. This would make it her 9th contract with Cheoeum Cheoreom since she first signed with the brand in November 2007, giving her the title of the longest-running soju model.


A representative from Lotte Liquors stated, “Lee Hyori’s sexy and flashy image as a singer and her down-to-earth image from variety shows, which appeal to people young and old as well as males and females, have helped to steadily increase the popularity and brand recognition of Cheoeum Cheoreom, which is why we renewed the contract with her.”


A source from the manufacturer itself revealed, “Lee Hyori’s ‘Shake It Campaign‘ gave birth to drinks such as ‘The Storm’ and ‘Hyori drink’. Cheoeum Cheoreom and Lee Hyori’s compatibility is the best,” praising Lee Hyori’s success as a spokeswoman.


In addition to Lee Hyori, gagmen Kim Joon Hyun, Kim Won Hyo, and others from KBS2‘s ‘Gag Concert‘ have also renewed their contracts. They’ll be appearing in the Cheoeum Cheoreom ads with Lee Hyori.

Shinhwa to make an appearance on upcoming episode of ‘Gag Concert’





Comedian Kim Dae Beom shared a picture taken with original idol group Shinhwa.


On April 18th, Kim Dae Beom uploaded the above photo onto his Twitter page with the message, “With Shinhwa, who I like very much, some of the members are older and some are younger than me.


The picture was taken backstage at KBS‘ ‘Gag Concert‘ with comedians Kim Kiri, Kim Dae Beom, Byun Seung Yoon, and Song Jun Keun along with the members of Shinhwa.


According to an insider, Shinhwa was present for April 18th’s recording of ‘Gag Concert’, featuring in a segment called “The Discovery of Life”.


Fans left comments like, “Wow! Seems like Shinhwa’s going to be on ‘Gag Concert’,” “Everyone’s so handsome,” and “The original comical group Shinhwa is going to be on ‘Gag Concert’! I can’t wait!


The ‘Gag Concert’ episode featuring Shinhwa is scheduled to air on April 22nd.
