Have the stars been plagued with a ‘We Got Married’ curse?

The recent string of bad luck that some of today’s top celebrities have had are causing fans to question if it has anything to do with what they suspect to be a ‘We Got Married‘ curse.

Not only has T-ara been swept up in their own controversy, 2PMs Nichkhun and Clazziquai‘s Alex have recently been booked for driving under the influence. Additionally, in the past, Super Junior‘s Kangin, Crown J, and SG Wanabee‘s Kim Yong Jun have also all been involved in unfortunate situations.

Girl group T-ara has been plagued with what seems to be the worst bullying scandal in the history of K-Pop, and following Hwayoung‘s leave, former fans are petitioning that Eunjung be removed from dramas, advertisements, as well as MBC’s ‘We Got Married’.

2PM’s Nichkhun who was coupled with f(x)‘s Victoria on the show has also recently been involved in an unfortunate accident after having a few beers before getting behind the wheel. His alcohol level was measured at 0.056% and the 2PM member has currently put a halt to his activities. Ahead of his accident, Clazziquai’s Alex who was coupled with actress Shin Ae on ‘We Got Married’ was also booked for driving under the influence.

Super Junior’s Kangin previously paired with actress Lee Yoon Ji on the show also caused much social upheaval as a result of his drunk driving and bar fight, and Crown J who was coupled with singer Seo In Young was charged for possession of marijuana, then later charged for assault on his former manager.

And Kim Yong Jun who is currently serving in the Korean military as a public service worker draw major interest after featuring on ‘We Got Married’ with his actual girlfriend Hwang Jung Eum, but later received 80 hours of community service and was put on probation.

Furthermore, previous ‘We Got Married’ host Go Young Wook has also had his share of legal troubles.

Is there really a ‘We Got Married’ curse, or is this just an awful coincidence? Let us know your thoughts below!

We Got Married’s ‘Ant Couple’ reunites for the first time in 3 years at Crown J’s showcase

The ‘Ant Couple‘ from season one of MBC’s hit variety show, ‘We Got Married‘, has reunited for the first time in three years and five months!

On June 10th, Crown J held his comeback showcase at the Phantom Club in Shinsa-dong. Singer Seo In Young made a special visit and showed that she didn’t care what others thought by confidently showing her support for her former virtual husband.

She made a stop at his waiting room before he headed up on stage to give him some encouraging words and stayed behind after the showcase was over, talking with Crown J and mingling with other guests.

Crown J proved that his hiatus away from the music scene made no difference to his passion for his craft, performing new songs that he’ll be releasing starting this month.

One female fan excitedly commented, “He’s the return of traditional hip-hop. I was really happy to be able to listen to his songs today. I could feel his passion after overcoming obstacles. He showed that he hasn’t died out yet.”

Crown J expressed, “I know that there are people out there that view me a certain way, but I fortunately also had people that missed my music, which was a great source of strength for me. I’ll return the favor by starting right back from the bottom up. The only path for me is music.”

Crown J feels his sentence is “unfair and unfortunate”

Crown J, who was sentenced to a year of probation, remarked that the punishment was “unfair and unfortunate.

The rapper’s Court of Appeals sentence hearing was held at Seoul Central District Court on May 24. The Department of Justice stated, “There is no monetary penalty when it comes to forcing an individual to sign a contract over unpaid loans, and therefore sentencing is unavoidable.” He was given a six-month suspended sentence for one year. This means that if the rapper is able to keep a clean record for the next year, he will not have to serve any jail time.

After he received his sentence, Crown J cautiously said a few words. “Personally, this situation is extremely unfair and unfortunate.

He asserted his innocence saying, “They are saying that my former manager signed a loan guarantee, which he didn’t repay and thus, I forced him to a sign a memo, but I did not force him whatsoever.”

The long trial is now over, and I will patiently await the verdict of the Supreme Court,” he added. “The long appeal has been hard on many of the people around me who I love. I will dedicate everything to my music from here on out.

Crown J was previously charged for allegedly assaulting his ex-manager with help from acquaintances, forcing the ex-manager to sign a document saying that he would hand over a $90,000 yacht. He was found not guilty on the charges of assaulting, kidnapping, and confining, but he was found guilty on forcing his manager to sign a document. In a previous sentencing, he received an eight-month suspended sentence for two years.
