Girls’ Generation’s Tiffany looks gorgeous even offstage

Recent paparazzi photos of Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany proved once again that her beauty radiates even without the fancy stage costumes and kill heels.

Tiffany appeared at Kodam (Korean Dining Lounge) at Nonhyundong on the evening of August 11th. She met up people in the fashion industry, such as stylist Kim Woo Ri, in the middle of her busy schedule. She looked like just another average 24-year-old meeting up with her friends for an overdue chat.

The Girls’ Generation member stayed about an hour at the restaurant talking and eating delicious food. She didn’t mind the stares of the customers and fans, and even moved on to sit in the outside terrace to focus on her conversations.

She wore little to no facial makeup, and her hair was not done. However, the lack of makeup did not change her beautiful features, and her hair, unlike on stage,  was loosely let down her back.

The one thing that stood out the most was her sense of fashion. That night, all she chose to wear were a flower print t-shirt, hot pants, and flats. She also had a luggage bag from Celine with her.

When you take a look at each item individually, they aren’t so special, but they come alive when she wears them. Even though she ditched her kill heels for a comfortable pair of flats, her hot pants, peaking from underneath her boxy t-shirt, made her legs look long and slender.

Tiffany chatted happily until the end of the meeting, but sadly had to leave when the passerbys started to take glimpses of her. It appeared that she was leaving for her dorm to get ready for tomorrow’s schedule.

Some of the members have allergies,” the employee continued. “Jessica has a cucumber allergy, and Taeyeon is allergic to nuts, while Tiffany loves eel. One time, we packed two whole eels in one lunchbox.

The public tends to assume that special ‘diet’ lunches need to be prepared for the girls in order for them to maintain their figure, but that isn’t the case with Girls’ Generation.

“[The fans] informed us that there would be no need to pack special diet food,” the employee said. “Because they are very busy and highly active, we tend to focus on packing healthy nutritious food.”

TaeTiSeo becomes first unit group to earn twelve #1 trophies

Girls’ Generation once again proved what they are capable of.

The team’s first subgroup ‘TaeTiSeo‘ seized several #1 trophies on a number of different music programs, and will be wrapping up promotions with a final performance on the June 3rd broadcast of SBSInkigayo‘.

With their hit song “Twinkle“, the girls secured #1 K-Chart wins for three consecutive weeks on SBS ‘Inkigayo’, KBSMusic Bank‘, MnetM! Countdown‘, and MBC Music‘s ‘Show! Champion‘. Though there have been many unit groups to grace the K-Pop scene, this is the first time a unit group has earned a triple-crown and secured a #1 win on each previously mentioned music program.

“Twinkle” which was released back April 30th proved that it had staying power, as it remained at the #3 spot on major Korean music site Melon as of May 31st KST.

After debuting as a unit group, the girls were acknowledged for their explosive vocal talent that they couldn’t properly display before with 9-member group Girls’ Generation. An insider from their agency SM Entertainment remarked, “I think TaeTiSeo was able to last a long while because with their subgroup promotions, the girls have been acknowledged for their music, their choreography, and their visuals.”

TaeTiSeo who admitted that they shook with nervous jitters for their first unit group performance remarked, “With Girls’ Generation, the charismatic choreography was extremely important, but I think with [unit] promotions, we were able to focus mainly on our vocals. Our company has been extremely supportive, and the other members joked that they were jealous.”

Girls’ Generation’s very first unit group TaeTiSeo is made up of Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun, and there is potential for new subgroups to emerge in the future.

Taetiseo discusses their experience as a unit and changes in style

Nearly a month into the release of “Twinkle“, Girls’ Generation‘s unit group Taetiseo remains at the top of the charts in addition to numerous wins on major music programs with a triple crown on KBS‘s ‘Music Bank‘.

In their latest interview with Star News, the trio expressed, “We’re really amazed but happy that the three of us can win so many great awards like this. It’s thankfully because of the fans that love all the nine members.”

As this is their first unit group since their debut five years ago, it’s expected to be full of new experiences and challenges. The girls said, “We earn a lot of strength from the members that are always supporting us from afar.” Seohyun added, “There are a lot of things that I’ve learned while promoting. I feel grateful for the support that I receive from the other members since we’re promoting away from them now.”

Tiffany stated, “The nine of us share group texts, so whenever we get done with our stage, they send us congratulatory messages saying they enjoyed our stage and that they’re always supporting us. YoonA and Yuri, who are in the middle of filming their own dramas, even send in pictures of themselves watching and monitoring our performances.”

On their change in fashion, the girls stated, “We’re able to try a lot more variety of styles as a unit.” Seohyun said, “I think our biggest charm is for the three of us to bring our individuality together into harmony on stage. I think the combination of the three of us is a fresh one.”

Taeyeon added, “Since there are inevitable restrictions with the way we have to dress when there’s nine of us, we usually resort to having to wear the same outfits. As a trio unit, however, it’s fun to be able to try different varieties.”

When asked to name one negative aspect of promoting as a unit, they replied humorously, “Our waiting room has gotten a lot smaller.” They also added, “We’re always communicating with the other members, but there’s a different energy compared to when the nine of us are promoting.”

MBC explains why Leeteuk delivered the closing speech instead of Tiffany at ‘Korean Music Wave in Google’

Super Junior leader Leeteuk has been receiving flak from some netizens after delivering the final speech at MBC‘s ‘Korean Music Wave in Google‘ concert recently held in California.

On May 21st, Google and YouTube hosted MBCKorean Music Wave in Google‘ in Mountain View, California and the concert was streamed live through YouTube.

Towards the end of the concert, all the artists came on stage together to sing the customary traditional Korean song, “Arirang“. When the song came to a close, Leeteuk grabbed his microphone and closed the event saying, “Our languages and our faces may be different, but the music has united us as one.” But netizens began criticizing Leeteuk for delivering the closing speech, as Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Tiffany were the MCs for the event. They felt Leeteuk hindered Tiffany from giving the final speech, and staff members from the event who heard about the misunderstanding stepped forward to defend Leeteuk’s actions.

A representative from MBC who was at the event remarked, “The misunderstanding had spread amongst netizens, because they did not completely understand the situation at hand. The head director had specially asked Leeteuk to deliver the closing speech, as he is exceptionally talented and experienced when it comes to leading such events. The director had simply wanted to neatly and efficiently end the large-scale show.”

It makes no sense to say that he had interrupted Tiffany from making her speech,” the representative continued. “The fact that Leeteuk stepped on stage with a mic already in hand proves that everything was pre-meditated.”

Leeteuk also attempted to relieve any misunderstandings by writing on his Twitter page, “Towards the end of “Arirang”, a cue card went up asking me to deliver the closing comment. If it was wrong of me to respond to the producer’s cue and deliver a speech during a show that was streamed live all over the world, then I apologize. I will respectfully reject any gifts of criticism that are given without reason.”

Meanwhile, some of today’s top artists performed at the concert, including TVXQ, Super Junior, Wonder Girls, Girls’ Generation, KARA, B2ST, MBLAQ, SISTAR, f(x), and more.
