Wonder Girls celebrate 2,000th day anniversary since their debut





Wonder Girls snapped a photo to commemorate 2,000 days since their debut.


On August 1st, the photo above was posted on Wonder Girls’ official Twitter page with the tweet, “We are only able to celebrate 2,000 days because we have all of you Wonderfuls. Thank you so much.”


With the recent issue of bullying within the industry becoming a hot topic, netizens were glad to see their strong bond and that Lim, the last member to join the group, was front and center in the photo holding the cake.


Their fans responded to the girls’ tweet with, “You girls look so pretty“, “There’s no bullying here”, and “I can’t believe it’s already been 2,000 days!”

Sones run newspaper ads for Girls’ Generation’s fifth anniversary + Tiffany’s birthday





In celebration of Girls’ Generation‘s fifth anniversary since debut, fans have released newspaper ads to show their support.


The girls’ anniversary is coming up on August 5th, but fans prepared ahead by releasing the ads on a daily newspaper with the message, “Thank you! Thank you for being our stars! We’re happy we became fans of Girls’ Generation!”


Alongside an extra ad for Tiffany‘s 24th birthday, fans thought to include a special message of support for the Korean athletes in the ’2012 London Olympics’.


One of the fans who coordinated the ad stated, “The reason Girls’ Generation was able to become the best was because they’ve been working their best consistently from their trainee days until now. That is what their fans are most touched by. For as long as they continue to exist, we want to support them without change.”

4minute’s Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Sohyun celebrate their 3rd year anniversary









4minute‘s Jiyoon, Gayoon, and Sohyun have greeted their fans with a set of selcas in celebration of their 3rd year anniversary! 4minute officially debuted with “Hot Issue” on Mnet’s M! Countdown back on June 18, 2009.


On June 18th, maknae Sohyun uploaded the visual treat shown above along with the attached message, “3 years! Kekekekekeke [it's] Jiyoon, Sohyun, [and] Gayoon.” In addition to verbally mentioning the number of years since 4minute’s debut, the three members also stuck out three fingers in the pictures, showcasing an uncommon yet cute pose.


Earlier on the same day, Sohyun also posted a set of selcas of herself with a longer message for her fans, saying, “Today is 4minute’s 3 year anniversary. Hee. The time has flown by so quickly. 3rd year anniversary picture parade, keke. Thank you [4NiAs] for taking care of us and for loving us for these three years. In the future, let’s also go forward together. Ke. Thank you.



Fans who have seen the pictures and tweets commented, “A big congratulations to 4minute on their 3rd year anniversary,” “The 4minute who has made it to the 3-year mark, go, go (keep going) until you have reached 10 years!,” and “I truly congratulate you, 4minute, for your 3rd year anniversary.

Fans donate and perform volunteer work for INFINITE’s second anniversary





In celebration of INFINITE‘s second anniversary since debut, Inspirits have set out to participate in charitable deeds!


One example of the many active fan pages that are celebrating INFINITE’s second anniversary is a fan page called ‘Nuna-pirit‘. On June 9th, ‘Nuna-pirit’ will be volunteering at the ‘One Love Infant Home for Disabilities‘ under the name of INFINITE and delivering a congratulatory message to the boys on their anniversary.


The members of the fan page have also stepped up to provide a total of 101 blood donor cards to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation along with 20 INFINITE albums.


As if that weren’t enough, the fan page has also donated 6,969 beans to Naver‘s ‘Happy Bean‘ charity program and a $852 USD cash donation. They will also be putting up advertisements commemorating the group’s anniversary today as well.

FT Island celebrates their 5-year anniversary







Korean pop / rock band FT Island who performed their very first music stage with “Love Sick” through Mnet‘s M! Countdown back on June 7th of 2007 are celebrating their 5th anniversary today.


To commemorate the milestone, lead vocalist Hongki recently wrote via his official Twitter page, “Today is our five-year anniversary… time sure does fly… I guess we are who we are today because of all the different things that have happened. Thank you, and we will continue to work and sing hard. All you Pri(madonna)’s, I love you!!! Let’s go until the day we die.”


Fans congratulated Hongki and the rest of the members by responding, “Congratulations!”, “Fighting!”, “Please continue to keep singing!”, and “You make my life so much better!”

ELF celebrate their 6th anniversary







Super Junior officially debuted on SBS‘s “Inkigayo” back in November 6, 2005. Seven months after debuting, they established their official fanclub ELF (Ever Lasting Friends) on June 2, 2006.


Although it’s still June 1st in the States, it’s officially June 2nd in Korea and fans took to Twitter to celebrate the 6th anniversary since the clubs establishment. The hash tag #6YearswithELF was the top trending term Worldwide on Twitter.

Fans celebrate Rain’s 10th anniversary with a subway advertisement





A congratulatory plaque was put up in the subway stations, celebrating singer Rain‘s 10th anniversary.


Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) who is currently enlisted in the military, debuted on April 24th, 2002 through a cable channel music program. Afterwards, he released his first formal album ‘Rain‘ to officially kick off his promotions as an artist.


Once he established himself as a singer, Rain also tried his hand at acting in both dramas and films alike. He received praise for his roles in Korean dramas ‘Sang Doo! Let’s Go To School‘ and ‘Full House‘. He was even offered a role in Hollywood project ‘Speed Racer‘ and later starred in ‘Ninja Assassin‘, being labeled a ‘World Star’ by fans all over the world.


To celebrate his ten years in the industry, his fans put up an advertisement on the front of a screen door in a busy subway station in Seoul. “Rain, congratulations on your ten year anniversary,” it read, also written in Japanese for his Japanese fans.


The advertisement will be up for another month, and fans remarked that with the ad, they would be able to “rain down on Rain when he exhausts himself in the military,” and “We hope that he will feel proud after seeing our efforts.”


In related news, Rain enlisted in the military on October 11th of last year, he is scheduled to be discharged around July of 2013.
