Korean artists tweet in celebration of South Korea’s Men’s Soccer Bronze Victory







South Korea defeated Japan 2-0 the bronze medal match at the 2012 London Olympics. After the victory, celebrities turned to their Twitter in celebration.


Among the celebrating artists was B2ST leader Doojoon who wrote, “Ah….our Olympic team…. worked so hard… We wonnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!“, while MIB‘s 5zic wrote, “I really got emotional, you guys worked so hard,” and charismatic rapper Simon D chimed in to say, “South Korea Soccer Bronze Medal!! So proud!!


Rookie group C-Clown‘s Barom also expressed his overflowing pride tweeting, “We were running with you in spirit!! Our South Korean team and coach Hong Myung Bo, you guys worked so hard. Amazing!!!!:) kekeke,” but it was Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk that had the best reaction. Shortly after the game ended, Eunhyuk tweeted, “Ah Ah Ah Ah Ah I’m really going to cry seriously daebak I’m going crazy Ah I’m tearing thank you to the players, ah ah ah really meaningful medal T_T more glorious than the gold medal T_T you guys worked so hard thank you ah really this is great Ahhhhh.”


As promised, this victory allows the South Korean soccer players exemption from mandatory Korean military service.




Lady Jane receives a rose from boyfriend Simon D for her 29th birthday









Singer Lady Jane recently celebrated her 29th birthday and revealed a rose given to her by her boyfriend of four years, Simon D.


On June 27th, Simon D tweeted, “Today is Lady Jane’s birthday, the one who I love. Please congratulate her! Happy Birthday!


Upon seeing his tweet, Lady Jane replied, “[He's the kind of guy] who sends a rose even when he’s working! Thank you.”


The photo aroused the jealousy of many netizens as they left comments such as, “I wish I had a boyfriend like him,” “Such a cute couple,” and “I hope the two stay together forever.”

Dynamic Duo and Simon D featured for ’2012 Poolside Party’





Hip Hop artists Dynamic Duo and Simon D will be holding an exciting summer party by a pool.


Dynamic Duo and Simon D will hold a concert for two days on July 20th and 21st at the Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul titled ‘2012 Poolside Party.’


‘Poolside Party’ started back in the year 2000 with DJ DOC, and since then, many popular artists such as Cool, MC Mong, Uhm Jung Hwa, and Epik High have performed. Tickets are reported to have sold out six years in a row.  Local trendsetters have had a positive reaction to the concert, and it’s gaining a reputation as a unique, “mature” summer concert.


The concert this year is subtitled ‘Dynamic Summer’ and features Dynamic Duo and Simon D as ‘TripleD’.


A staff member with the show stated, “This concert will be an [escape for people] and we’re planning an unimaginable stage that will satisfy concert-goers 200%.

Rapper Simon D and comedian Park Myung Soo took a friendly photo together.


On June 20th, Simon D tweeted, “It’s been a while since I’ve seen my father,” jokingly referring to the comedian as his “father”.


Fans commented, “It’s even funnier that they look so intimate,” “I see that Park Myung Soo and Simon D are still contacting one another,” and “Simon D is cute.


Both stars were cast members on MBC‘s ‘Hot Brothers‘ in 2010.

Simon D enjoys dinner with ‘Standby’ castmates ZE:A’s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo







Simon D recently shared photos of him on a night out with ‘Standby‘ castmates, ZE:A‘s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo.


On the 5th, Simon D posted to his Twitter, “Each agency did rock-paper-scissors, and the winner would have to pay for the most expensive table. I won. Me 107,000 won (~$91), Siwan 88,000 won (~$74), and Kyung Pyo 86,000 won (~$73). Anyway, it was a happy dinner.”


The photos show the three castmates at a sushi restaurant enjoying their meals. What grabbed the attention of netizens were the large piles of dishes stacked in front of the ‘Standby’ actors.

Simon D regrets rejecting a featuring offer from IU





On the latest recording of Mnet‘s ‘Vol. TEN‘, MC Supreme Team‘s Simon D revealed that he had once rejected a featuring in IU’s song and named it as the worst mistake of his 20′s.


Right after IU had released her hit track, “Nagging“, she had asked Simon D for a feature in another song. Unfortunately, Simon D had been too busy to accept the request. “I was so busy then that I had no choice, but to reject it. I’m so apologetic now that I can’t even talk to her first.”


Not only were his fellow MCs surprised, but they jokingly reprimanded him for the decision.


Im Jin Mo, who’s a self-declared fan of IU, hilariously replied, “Rejecting a request from IU is worse than denying an order from your parents.” Jung-In added, “Simon D, you’re quite amazing to have rejected IU.”


Simon D joked back, “Yes, I consider it the biggest mistake of my 20′s.”

Supreme Team‘s Simon D recently shared a photo of him and his fellow cast members from MBC‘s ‘Standby‘, ZE:A‘s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo.


Simon D shared on his Twitter, “MBC’s daily sitcom ‘Standby’ male cast members in their 20s are making a friendly pose.” Simon D is seen putting his arms around Siwan and Go Kyung Po while everyone is seen smiling at the camera.

In ‘Standby’, Simon D plays the role of an aspiring rapper who works as a waiter.

Simon D reminisces about Supreme Team’s earlier days





Simon D left a message on Twitter reminiscing about Supreme Team‘s early days.


He tweeted on May 1st, “Sangu drew Supreme Team, who was sweeping up Hongdae 2007-2008. I long for those days, forever young.” The drawing he posted was of characters representing himself and E-Sens, who ran into some trouble with the law recently.

Singer Simon D recently treated fans to a charismatic photo taken with Super Junior‘s Heechul!


On April 27th, the Simon D tweeted, “I met Heechul hyung after a long time, but the location was at the PC Bang. kekeke. let’s rock n LOL“.


PC Bangs, which literally mean “PC rooms”, are common and abundant in South Korea. They contain numerous computers for the convenience of consumers, who can surf the web, work, play computer games, and watch entertainment. However, they are mostly used by gamers, especially Starcraft enthusiasts. Based on Simon D’s tweet, the two seem to have met coincidentally at a random PC center. Could Simon D and Heechul be Starcraft players?


Simon’s followers tweeted back with, “Wow, you both met at the PC room,” “You two look like real siblings,” and “Looking hot in that pose.
