Go Kyung Pyo reveals he was once a trainee under YG Entertainment

Rising actor Go Kyung Pyo who is known for his roles in the popular sitcom ‘Standby‘ and tvN‘s ‘SNL Korea‘, recently participated in a pictorial for ‘1^st Look’ magazine as well as sitting down for an interview.

The actor revealed some surprising details during the interview. “I was actually a trainee at YG Entertainment for two years, I became a trainee at the same time as Yoo In Na. However, my contract with YG Entertainment fell through. As I was preparing to enter military service, I passed the ‘Jungle Fish 2’ audition and became an actor with my broadcast debut,” said Go Kyung Pyo.

“After I filmed my kiss scene with Siwan, my friendship with him became different”, hilariously remarking on the scene in their sitcom.

Go Kyung Pyo also revealed, “MBC‘s ‘Infinity Challenge‘ helped guide me through my personal growth. Because new episodes of ‘Infinity Challenge’ aren’t currently airing, I am having a hard time. I recently met the role model of my life, Yoo Jae Suk, and I was so happy that tears came out of my eyes,” showing his deep admiration for Yoo Jae Suk.

Simon D enjoys dinner with ‘Standby’ castmates ZE:A’s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo

Simon D recently shared photos of him on a night out with ‘Standby‘ castmates, ZE:A‘s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo.

On the 5th, Simon D posted to his Twitter, “Each agency did rock-paper-scissors, and the winner would have to pay for the most expensive table. I won. Me 107,000 won (~$91), Siwan 88,000 won (~$74), and Kyung Pyo 86,000 won (~$73). Anyway, it was a happy dinner.”

The photos show the three castmates at a sushi restaurant enjoying their meals. What grabbed the attention of netizens were the large piles of dishes stacked in front of the ‘Standby’ actors.

Supreme Team‘s Simon D recently shared a photo of him and his fellow cast members from MBC‘s ‘Standby‘, ZE:A‘s Siwan and Go Kyung Pyo.

Simon D shared on his Twitter, “MBC’s daily sitcom ‘Standby’ male cast members in their 20s are making a friendly pose.” Simon D is seen putting his arms around Siwan and Go Kyung Po while everyone is seen smiling at the camera.

In ‘Standby’, Simon D plays the role of an aspiring rapper who works as a waiter.
