Se7en reveals an album jacket photo from his upcoming ‘Se7en the Best’ album

In celebration of ‘Se7en Day’, soloist Se7en has released an album jacket photo for his upcoming ‘Se7en the Best‘ album release.

On August 24th, he wrote, “On the lunar calendar, today is 7/7. To celebrate ‘Se7en Day’ on the lunar calendar, I’ll release one album jacket cut. SE7EN THE BEST.”

Se7en will be releasing a 30-track best of album in Japan on September 5th. Dressed in a navy blue suit against a matching navy and white backdrop, the album jacket cut shows a neat yet charismatic side to the singer, proving that he doesn’t need much to look his best.

Se7en parodies ‘Boys Over Flowers’?

Singer Se7en made a couple of cute references to the popular KBS drama series ‘Boys Over Flowers‘. He shared via Twitter: “Se7en over flowers,” along with a photo (below) of himself literally surrounded by flowers.

He later tweeted on the 15th, “Se7en over dog,” and shared the picture above from a monitor on the set of a recent photo shoot. The photo captured attention for the bond between him and an adorable Golden Retriever.

Fans commented, “The dog is lucky“, “Oppa and the dog look alike!“, and “Se7en oppa and the puppy are so so cute“.

Meanwhile, Se7en will be releasing a best-of album in Japan on September 5th.

Se7en’s good looks ‘blossom’ in his recently shared photo

Se7en flaunted his ‘flower-boy’ good looks in his recent picture.

On August 12th, Se7en tweeted, “Se7en over flowers” and revealed the above photo.

The picture showed Se7en looking handsome in a black flower patterned suit while posing against a flower patterned background. The background patterns looked so similar to the patterns on Se7en’s suit that it almost looked like the background and his body formed into one.

After seeing ‘Se7en over flowers’ picture, the netizens commented, “I thought it was magic eye“, “I can’t tell who’s the flower or the person“, and “He’s still a flower beauty.”

Actress Park Han Byul stops by the Hello Kitty Café in Samchungdong

Actress Park Han Byul shared a snapshot of her day in Samchungdong.

On August 3rd, the actress tweeted, “Walked around Samchungdong the whole day! It felt like I was on a vacation overseas. This is the kitty shop,” along with the series of pictures above.

Park Han Byul looked to be thoroughly enjoying her day out and about in the photo, completing her all-white outfit with a white cap. Not only did Park Han Byul’s simple and feminine all-white fashion capture netizens attention, the hot pink background of the café decorated with various hello kitty products also drew much of their interest.

Se7en shows his support for Korean Olympic athletes

Solo artist Se7en showed his support for the Korean Olympic athletes with a cute message on his Twitter on July 30th, “Olympic gold medal in archery after 7 wins!! #7 Kim Bo Kyung… Ah it looks like Se7enGal (short for Se7enGallery, Se7en’s fansite on DC Inside) will be crazy today. But it’s a good crazy, so I’ll welcome it“, making many laugh with his reference to his artist name.

He continued, “No wait, 7 wins, #7 Kim Bo Kyung, #7 Swiss soccer player – I understand all of these. But why #17? Poor Se7enGal. It looks like it’ll be a long day. Se7enGal fighting!“, showing concern for his fans.

Se7enGal refers to an online fan community on DC Inside, where Se7en fans post anything that happens in the news related to the number seven. For this reason, fans went wild posting about the 7 consecutive wins, and athletes #7 and #17 on the site. Se7en showed his concern for his fans, who would have much to post about, through his Twitter.

In related news, archers Lee Sung Jin, Choi Hyun Joo, and Kim Bo Bae recently earned 7 consecutive wins in the 2012 London Olympics, winning themselves gold medals.

IU and Se7en’s SNS messages appear on SBS news

IU and Se7en‘s messages cheering on the South Korean Olympic Team, have been brought to attention.

On a segment of the 27th’s broadcast of SBS‘s ‘8 o’clock News‘, various SNS (social networking site) messages in support of the Olympic team were revealed on the screen as part of the broadcast.

Viewers were given the opportunity to leave messages on the SBS website through SNS, and the messages would then be shown on the news broadcast. Out of the many that streamed through the bottom portion of the screen, netizens spotted the Twitter IDs and messages of IU and Se7en.

Se7en’s message read, “Aja aja fighting to our nation’s Olympic Team! Se7en and all of YG family are cheering you on,” while IU wrote “Hello this is IU! I hope all of you athletes enjoy yourselves at the competitions and return home safely. Fighting!”

Netizens commented, “Of course, IU is a perceptive idol. She isn’t the nation’s little sister for nothing“, “Se7en and IU are watching TV too. Found one thing I have in common with them“, and more.

Se7en comments on ‘Two Moons’ starring girlfriend Park Han Byul

Singer Se7en had a few words to say about girlfriend Park Han Byul‘s new flick ‘Two Moons‘.

Se7en tweeted on July 3rd, “I’ve come back from the sneak preview of the film ‘Two Moons’! This is the first time [I've seen] a scary movie like this. Releasing July 12! Fighting.”

Park Han Byul plays the lead role, author Sohee, in the mystery-horror movie.

In related news, ‘Two Moons’ is the first film in eight years to be directed by Kim Dong Bin. The movie’s plot centers around three people who awake with no memory during a time when morning never comes and in a house where the dead live.

Singer Se7en recently paid a visit to the new dentist office of his brother-in-law.

On the afternoon of June 29th, Se7en took to Twitter to promote his brother-in-law’s newly opened dentist office saying, “Congratulations to my brother-in-law and his newly opened dentist office! Park Han Byul discusses her boyfriend Se7en and marriage

Actress Park Han Byul recently spoke up about marriage plans with her 10-year boyfriend, Se7en (Choi Dong Wook).

On June 21st, Park Han Byul attended a media day for her upcoming film ‘Two Moons‘ at a bar in Apgujung, Seoul. During the event, the subject of marriage was brought up, and the actress was asked about her marriage plans with her long time boyfriend.

She answered, “Dong Wook needs to complete his military service, first.” Park Han Byul and Se7en are known to have been dating for over 10 years now. The two met when they were students in Ahnyang High School and have maintained their love for each other ever since.

She continued, “He hasn’t decided on when he’ll enlist, but marriage will come after that. Even when he enlists, I don’t think it will hit me that he’s actually gone. I probably won’t feel sad about it and just be like, ‘Okay, see you when you get back’,” causing everyone to laugh at her casual attitude.

Park Han Byul then added, “I may worry about him, but since it’s mandatory, it’s better to just send him off with a light heart.”

Directed by Kim Dong Bin, ‘Two Moons’ tells the mysterious story of three people who end up losing their memory after visiting an isolated home. The movie is set to release on July 12th.

Ryu Seung Bum and Gong Hyo Jin selected as the #1 celebrity couple by ‘Section TV’

Actor Ryu Seung Bum and his long time girlfriend, actress Gong Hyo Jin, have been selected as the #1 celebrity couple.

On the June 17th installment of MBC‘s ‘Section TV‘, the segment ‘Star Ranking‘ revealed rankings for the most beautiful couples who went public with their relationships.

Out of the numerous couples that made the list, Ryu Seung Bum and Gong Hyo Jin, who are known to have been together since 2001, snagged the #1 spot. On a past broadcast program, Gong Hyo Jin recalled the time she first met her boyfriend saying, “My first impression of Ryu Seung Bum wasn’t good. We used to get in a lot of arguments when we first dated.”

Gong Hyo Jin also revealed that she would visit the filming set whenever her boyfriend had a love or kiss scene.

On the contrary, Ryu Seung Bum expressed his deep affection for his girlfriend saying, “She’s my best friend, colleague, and the person I’m most comfortable with.”

Meanwhile, trailing behind in 2nd place were Se7en & Park Han Byul, who have been dating for 11 years, and Jung Suk Won & Baek Ji Young in 3rd place.

For this year, the agency will be holding auditions all over the globe including United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Canada, and Japan.

Se7en utilizes a helicopter to fulfill his busy schedule

In order to fulfill his hectic schedule, singer Se7en mobilized a helicopter and uploaded a proof-shot onto his Twitter.

The singer wrote, “A way to go from Yeosu to Busan in just 30 minutes… Is this! BUSAN make some noise!” He then tweeted, “This is my first time in 10 years as a singer riding a helicopter to fulfill a schedule! wow! Fantastic baby“, and shared the photos above.

The first photo of his trip shows the singer introducing the helicopter behind him before boarding. The singer then seems content in the next photo as he strikes a thumbs up inside the helicopter while giving followers a view of the scenery below. Finally, he revealed a photo after landing in Busan, posed with his arms spread out as if to show his satisfaction.

Se7en donates $17,000 USD to his alma mater

Se7en has been revealed to have donated nearly $17,000 USD to his alma mater!

On May 24th, he wrote on his Twitter, “Wow, Kukmin University’s festival! I can feel the passionate heat. My school friends are the best. I donated $17,000 USD under the name of Se7en, so I hope it’s put to good use! Fighting to all of the Kukmin University students!”

In the accompanying sel-ca, Se7en shows off his trophy of gratitude awarded by his school that honors him for his generous donation.

Netizens commented, “What a respectable celebrity”, “A big heart he has”, and “His proud facial expression is so lovely”.

Se7en was admitted to the school in 2009 as a sports business major.

Se7en threatens Taeyang with past photos?

Big Bang‘s Taeyang probably let out a big sigh of relief seeing the relatively “normal” past photos that Se7en had revealed.

On May 18th, Se7en uploaded three shots of Taeyang’s early youth and tweeted/threatened, “Childhood photos in light of Taeyang’s birthday!! Ah so cute ^^ ps. Hey Young Bae [Taeyang's birth name], be good to your hyung…  I have 200 past photos of you in my hard drive!!!  But out of all of them, these were the most normal!!! keke Happy Birthday!! I love you ❤“”

Fans were amused to see that with the exception of his hairstyle, not much seems to have changed for the popular Big Bang member.

Fans were touched by the close relationship between Se7en and Taeyang as they wrote, “Haha, love your sunbae-hoobae relationship“, “He was so cute back then“, and “Taeyang hasn’t changed at all!”

VIXX’s Hong Bin receives praise for his identical looks to singer Se7en

Rookie group VIXX‘s Hong Bin has been gaining attention for his strikingly handsome face.

On the May 17th episode of Mnet’s reality show ‘Mydol‘, a ‘Mydol Athletics Championship Competition’ was held in which idol group ZE:A‘s Dongjun and Heechul appeared as special guests.

The moment VIXX’s Hong Bin appeared, the MC compared his visual to that of actor Won Bin to which ZE:A’s Heechul commented, “He looks more like Se7en sunbaenim.”

The revealed photo above also impressed fans and had them nodding in agreement to the comparison.

As mentioned before, the members of VIXX are trainees under Jelly Fish Entertainment, which is home to singers like Sung Si Kyung and Park Hyo Shin. They were first featured on the reality program, ‘Mydol’, where the final members and name for the group were determined by viewers’ votes.

Se7en calls hairdresser to his hotel room because he is too busy

Singer Se7en recently held a concert in Osaka, Japan.  According to his recent tweet, he was too busy to go to the salon himself.  Instead, he hired a hairdresser to visit his hotel room!

On May 11th, Se7en uploaded a 2-set photo and tweeted, “Osaka’s night….Didn’t have time to go to the salon, so I called the salon to come to my hotel room!!!  Bleaching right now….^^  Let’s see each other tomorrow, Osaka!!!”

Normally, people sleep, eat, bathe, or use the room service at hotels and inns.  In a K-Pop star’s room, however, having a hairdresser bleach your hair seems to be a new norm.

Fans were intrigued by his set of pictures and commented, “Haha, you look awesome“, “This must be the life of a K-pop star“, and “Your popularity in Japan is impressive!“.

In related news, Se7en released his Japanese single, “Love Again” last month, and now he is continuing his showcases in Japan.  On May 5th, he held a concert in Fukuoka, one in Nagoya on the 6th, and one in Osaka on the 12th.

Se7en best overseas performer in China

Korean singer Se7en won the Best Overseas Performer Award at the China Music Award and Asian Influential Awards in Macau on April 13, YG Entertainment said.

The 27-year-old K-pop artist was the only Korean singer invited to the event, the agency added.

“I feel really grateful for receiving such a great award. I will do my best to meet my fans from China,” he said.

The awards show, in its 16th year, took place at CotaiArena in The Venetian Macao and was attended by many internationally known celebrities from across Asia.

The list of celebrities included Taiwanese singer and actors Jay Chou and Van Ness Wu, Hong Kong singer and actress Karen Mok, as well as Japanese singer Kuraki Mai.

In previous years, Korean celebrities including Lee Byung-hun, Kim Tae-hee and Jang Woo-hyuk attended the event.

During the awards show, Se7en performed his songs “Better Together” and “Digital Bounce” on stage.

Se7en plans to release new albums in Japan, China and Singapore and will begin his Asian promotion tour later this month.

“On April 25, Se7en will release a new single in Japan and will hold showcases in Tokyo, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Osaka in May to promote his new album,” YG said in a statement.

So far, the singer has released one studio album, “First Se7en,” in 2006 and six singles in Asia’s biggest music market.

Se7en enjoys the arrival of spring at a cafe

Singer Se7en made a post about the current beautiful weather, showing how happy he was with it in a recent tweet.

Se7en posted on Twitter, “The weather’s good! I’m freely having a cup of coffee at Aoyama Cafe, which has a great vibe and environment! I’m already wearing a short sleeved shirt,” making it obvious that the star was incredibly excited about the sun coming out.

He looked cool and chic as he lay one of his elbows on the back of his chair, and smiled for the camera with his sunglasses on.
