VIXX declines gifts from fans with a thoughtful heart

Boy group VIXX recently held a fan meeting entitled ‘VIXX’s Class‘, celebrating their 100th day since debut on the 31st of last month. The fan meeting took place at the cafe known for being the filming location for recently completed drama ‘Gentlemen’s Class‘.

Prior to the event, VIXX had made an announcement amidst preparations for their 100 day celebration that they would “not be accepting gifts from fans”, which fans had difficulty believing. However, on the day of the event, VIXX brought to attention a charity organization that they had been supporting since before their debut, and asked fans to send contributions for the charity instead of gifts.

Leader N later explained the reason for declining gifts: “We are extremely thankful for the gifts that fans give VIXX, but with the money that some of you worked hard for or saved your allowance diligently for, we would rather use that money to do something good together with fans rather than just enjoy by ourselves.”

B2ST and VIXX snap a friendly picture together

Boy groups B2ST and VIXX displayed their friendship with a recent picture.

On August 23rd, VIXX released the picture above on their official fan cafe, ‘RealVIXX‘, sharing the two group’s latest interaction with fans. B2ST member Yoseob also holds up VIXX’s new album in the picture, further showing his support for the rookie group.

In addition, VIXX recently selected B2ST as their role-model group, explaining, “Each member has a unique character and personality, but the 6 members also work so well as a strong team”. It was also revealed that ‘Rock Ur Body‘, VIXX’s new single, was originally made for B2ST by none other than producer Shinsadong Tiger. Sunbae group B2ST graciously passed on the song to VIXX, which brought attention from fans of both groups.

VIXX stated, “We hope our own pathway to success is similar to B2ST’s. Our goal for ‘Rock Ur Body’ is to receive more attention from the general public.”

VIXX is currently hard at work with promotions for their second single, ‘Rock Ur Body’.

VIXX releases new Android app for ‘VIXX TV’

VIXX‘s YouTube broadcast show ‘VIXX TV‘ has been released as a special Android application!

Since May, the boys have been showing various facets of their day to day lives every week on their official YouTube channel. To reach out to a larger audience, the boys decided to take their show to the mobile stage by releasing a ‘VIXX TV’ app for on the go entertainment.

The reality show is directed by the boys themselves and features footage of the group hanging out and in their natural element, off the stage. Since its beginnings, the show’s offered English subtitle services for international fans and has thus earned a lot of love from overseas fans with each new episode.

The app will include special bonus features like ringtones recorded by the members themselves and a fun frame that allows you to take pictures with VIXX. The free service will also allow you to download updates on the boys like never-before-released photos and music videos.

Seo In Guk gifts VIXX with a 1986 pony pick up to congratulate their comeback

Singer Seo In Guk has gifted an extravagant present for junior labelmate group VIXX!

According to JellyFish Entertainment, Seo In Guk, who has always been a fan and supporter of VIXX, gifted the car wrapped with VIXX’s logo for their ‘Rock Ur Body‘ comeback. Seo In Guk wanted to present something to congratulate the boys, and after some thoughtful consideration, he thought a retro car fit to the concept of their new album would be just the gift.

The 1986 pony pick up definitely gives the retro vibe their album’s got going and fits the bill just right.

VIXX will be making their comeback on the rest of this week’s music shows!

VIXX to hold a romantic event for 10 lucky fans

VIXX has just made their comeback by holding a showcase on the 14th for their new song “Rock Ur Body“, and have now announced a special romantic event for their fans!

In celebration of their new album release, VIXX prepared an event where fans can enjoy a romantic date with the members on a yacht. The event will be limited to only ten fans to make the event more special.

The yacht date was planned due to the VIXX members’ requests to give back to the fans for their support, adding to the list of the other many fan service events they have already held.

Meanwhile, fans in Korea can enter for a chance to win this sweet date through Cyworld Music until the 28th.

Seo In Guk & VIXX’ N look like brothers in recent selca

Singer Seo In Guk, who is currently starring in the new tvN drama series ‘Respond 1997‘, shared a selca photo taken with VIXX member N.

The singer posted the above photo via his official Twitter page August 8th with the message: “This is around the time of the musical ‘Curtain Call‘~ dongseng VIXX! Fighting! But hey,  N! You’re sort of in the back? Everyone says we look alike, but do you guys think so?”

Netizens who never noticed the resemblance between the two before definitely saw it in this recently shared photo, as they wrote, “You guys do look alike. You look like brothers!”, “You guys are melting nuna’s heart“, and more.

In related news, VIXX will be releasing their new song “Rock Your Body” August 14th, and will also hold a showcase at Hongik University for 300 of their fans.

VIXX to perform at Otakon

VIXX is going to Baltimore, Maryland for Otakon!

VIXX has been confirmed as guests for this year’s Otakon, and will be performing on Friday, Jul 27th, 7:30PM at the convention. Mikako Joho, a Japanese artist, is the opening act.

For those who aren’t familiar with the group, VIXX is a six-member idol group from Mnet‘s reality show ‘Mydol‘. The current members were the top six finalists on the show voted by viewers. They joined together to form VIXX, which stands for “Voice, Visual, Value In Excelsis”. They recently debuted with the song “Super Hero” and are quickly gaining a large gathering of fans.

Though Otakon can seem an odd venue for a Korean idol group, this may be a great opportunity for VIXX to show their talents overseas. It will also be a wonderful chance for VIXX fans in the United States to come and support them.

Following the concert, VIXX is scheduled to hold an autograph session at the convention.

VIXX to hold their first fan signings since debut this month

Starting on July 7th, VIXX has announced that they’ll be going on their first fan signing tour in Korea since their debut.

The boys will be in Seoul before traveling on to Daejun on the 14th and Incheon on the 15th to meet with as many fans as they can nationwide. Their company expressed, “We decided to hold these fan signings due to the unending requests made by their fans. We hope to repay their passionate love and support through these events.”

Excited fans expressed their anticipation by commenting back, “Really looking forward to this first fan signing”, “See you at Gimpo Airport”, and “Please come to the countryside as well!”

For those that can’t attend, footage of their first fan signing will be shown through the July 10th episode of SBS MTV‘s ‘Diary‘.

VIXX invites fans to member N & Hyuk’s birthday party

Rookie group VIXX, which debuted last month with “Super Hero“, will be inviting a number of lucky fans to N and Hyuk‘s upcoming birthday party.

Leader N and maknae Hyuk’s birthdays fall on June 30th and July 5th, respectively. Naturally, VIXX’s official fancafe decided to celebrate their birthdays through a joint party, which is to be held on July 1st.

The party, which will take place at a theatre located in Jongno, Seoul, has been receiving a flood amount of applications from fans wanting to attend. Within just 20 minutes of the announcement post, the birthday event exceeded its limit, but fans continued to post and send in inquiries asking if there was any way they could attend.

This proves VIXX’s growing popularity as even foreign fans applied to attend the event. It’s said that, due to the overwhelming amount of applications, the group’s agency had no choice but to relocate the venue.

As this will be the group’s first meeting with fans ever since their debut, the group will make the event as memorable as possible. They’ll be revealing photos of the members of when they were young and even hold a talk session along with a mini concert.

Meanwhile, VIXX is being recognized for their fan service as they were seen presenting fans with prepared drinks and more.

VIXX’s Leo revealed to be a sports prodigy

Rookie boy group VIXX‘s main vocalist Leo has been revealed to be a sports prodigy!

Fans of Leo recently found out that he had pre-debut experience as a representative player of children’s soccer, achieving level four in Tae Kwon Do, and winning various championships in swimming and boxing.

His sports skills were demonstrated in the group’s Mnet variety show ‘Mydol‘ where he went up against the members of ZE:A and headlined for recording 5m 40cm (17 feet 18 inches) in the long jump category.

VIXX to feature in MTV’s idol real variety ‘Diary’

Rookie boy group VIXX will be continuing their efforts to get closer to their fans and the public, by featuring in MTV‘s idol real variety program, ‘Diary‘.

Fans are looking forward to the boys starring in the show as the six members have incredibly different personalities and charms. While Leader N is considered the team’s mother due to his caring and detailed personality, main vocalist Leo has the image of the team’s father for his quiet, but stern personality. Leo actually has a contrasting side where he falls apart in front of babies and puppies.

Ken has earned attention in the past for his many personal talents, while rapper Ravi has been having his MC skills spotlighted, for his ability to come up with witty remarks.

Se7en look-alike Hongbin is often teased for being able to turn anything into a pictorial thanks to his handsome looks, while Hyuk is the much-loved maknae, who’s energetic in all that he does.

Having shown their growth and debut through their real survival show, ‘Mydol‘, the boys are aiming to now let their personalities shine through ‘Diary’.

Other featred stars will include MYNAME, JJ Project, and BtoB on the June 25th broadcast.

Compilation of idol group buses becomes a hot topic online

A photo compilation of idol group buses has become a hot topic online.

The photo, posted on an online community on June 22nd, compares the bus designs of various idol groups. On the bus for rookie group VIXX is the picture that represents their title track “Super Hero“, which shows Robot Taekwon V’s eyes, Gundam’s V, Mazinger’s Mask, and Grendizer’s horns all meshed together to make up the group’s logo.

Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, and KARA‘s buses had simple designs with large images of the members on them. Psy‘s bus shows a picture of him in the national weight-lifting team’s uniform with beams of light coming out from under him, catching the eye of those passing by.

It was MBLAQ‘s incredibly plain bus that received the most attention, however. It kept the original design of bus number 1005-2, and simply has the group’s name written on the side in black.  The bus even tells people its route is from Gangnam to Bundang to Jukjun.

Whether it was because the group did not have money or they were confident enough to have a minimalist bus, it definitely caught the attention of netizens, who responded: “MBLAQ kekekeke.”

VIXX’s Ravi receives praise from Park Hyo Shin

VIXX‘s Ravi showed his admiration for Big Bang‘s Taeyang after receiving praise from legendary singer Park Hyo Shin.

On the June 19th broadcast of MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘, host Kim Shin Young introduced VIXX’s rapper Ravi saying, “He’s received high praise from Park Hyo Shin.”

She went on to explain, “After Park Hyo Shin saw Ravi’s performance, he said, ‘If he practices hard and trains well, he can be better than Big Bang’s Taeyang.’”

Shindong chimed in, “Why don’t you send a video message to Taeyang?” Ravi turned to the camera and said, “Sunbae, I love you.  I respect you,” which brought smiles to those gathered.

VIXX is the first idol group to come out of Jellyfish Entertainment, home to ballad singers like Sung Si Kyung and Park Hyo Shin. The group is currently receiving a lot of attention for their debut track “Super Hero“.

BtoB to star in new reality show ‘Diary’ along with MYNAME, JJ Project, and VIXX

BtoB will visit their fans everyday from Monday to Thursday through SBS-MTV‘s reality program, ‘Diary‘.

Through the show, BtoB plans to get closer to the fans by revealing various happenings in their daily lives and their pure, playful charms. The boys will put on fun episodes, including behind-the-scenes footage from their performance overseas in Singapore and Indonesia.

Claiming to be ‘400% honest reality,’ ‘Diary’ is a reality program that lets the viewers take a peek into the daily lives of rookie idol groups that have recently taken the center stage. The show’s self-camera format will bring fans up front and personal with the members as the group records their daily lives themselves

The show will first air on June 25th at 4 p.m. KST. The producer of the show has also revealed that ‘Diary’ will feature not just BtoB but also other rookie groups like MYNAME, JJ Project, and VIXX, to show viewers the lives of some of the hottest rookie groups side by side.

VIXX releases preview teaser for their new YouTube show ‘VIXX TV’

Rookie idol group VIXX will be amping up their social media power by launching their very own TV channel through YouTube!

On June 16th, the boys’ official channel released a preview teaser of their new ‘VIXX_TV‘ broadcast. Through the show, the members will be aiming to show their new fans some of their hidden talents and charms. This is definitely good news for fans, since it’s hard for rookie artists to get broadcast time as it is, so it’s awesome that they’re taking matters into their own hands.

Fans commented, “I’m looking forward to it”, and “What a great idea”.

The show will release new episodes weekly, so be sure to tune in!

VIXX’s N says goodnight with a kiss on Kiss Day

VIXX‘s N had a sweet message for his fans on Kiss Day, June 14th.

He tweeted, “You guys, sweet sweet night~ N-night! Muah (^з^)-☆,” and shared the photo above. N and fellow VIXX member Ravi sent their fans to bed with adorable kissy faces.

His fan service has since gathered a lot of attention.

INFINITE wins #1 triple crown + performances from June 14th’s ‘M! Countdown’!

Mnet’s “M! Countdown” is back with another spectacular episode chock-full of exciting performances!

Aside from the usual stages on tonight’s episode, boy group Boyfriend held their comeback stage with their retro title track “Love Style“.

The five ladies of f(x) also shocked the audience with their comeback track “Electric Shock“.

Korean-Chinese-Japanese boy group CROSS GENE made their hot debut with “La-Di Da-Di”

Last but not least, the wonderful Wonder Girls continued to pump the crowd with “Like This“.

Competing for the #1 spot, it was a hot battle between G.NA, INFINITE, and Wonder Girls, but in the end, it was INFINITE who clinched the win tonight with “The Chaser“!

VIXX receives love calls from international record labels

Jelly Fish Entertainment‘s rookie idol group VIXX is making waves overseas with their debut. They’ve been reportedly receiving love calls from several international establishments.

On June 11th, representatives revealed, “We’ve been receiving an influx of love calls from Japan, Thailand, and other locations overseas.”

Currently promoting their debut title track, “Super Hero“, the boys received instant attention upon their debut for their outstanding vocal performance skills that have caught the eyes of music officials both in and out of Korea.

Representatives continued, “They’ve always had more international fans since their pre-debut. A lot of big record labels from Japan and Thailand have been consistently asking to work with the boys. We are considering international advancement considering the global market we’re in, but we don’t feel we’re at the contract level yet.”

The boys are squeezing in time to study languages to prepare for their advancement amidst their promotions.

INFINITE wins ‘Inkigayo’ mutizen + performances from June 10th!

SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘ is back once again with a new show full of exciting performances from the artists you adore, brought to you by the charismatic Lee Jong Suk, and KARA‘s Goo Hara and Nicole.

Aside from the usual stages on tonight’s episode, U-KISS made their return with a track off their special album, “Believe“.

Girl group Dal Shabet also held their comeback stage with their catchy tune titled “Mr. Bang Bang“, while the world famous Wonder Girls returned with “Like This“.

Lastly, rookie singer Juniel made an outstanding debut with her title track “Illa Illa“.
