Actress Woori to change her stage name to her real name, Kim Yoon Hye





Model and actress Woori has revealed that she will no longer be using her stage name of 10 years and will instead be using her real name, ‘Kim Yoon Hye‘.


On August 10th, her agency exxplained, “Ten years ago, we thought the name ‘Woori’ would allow her to be recognized better by the public, but as it turned out, it was hard to pronounce, remember, and difficult to search for online. Ahead of the release of her movie, ‘Ghost Sweepers‘, we spent a lot of time deliberating over her name before deciding to cease the use of her stage name and have her promote with her real name.”


Kim Yoon Hye has been active in the past through various fashion photoshoots and pictorials.


Her movie ‘Ghost Sweepers’, which is slated to hit theaters in September, is a movie about individuals with supernatural powers from all over the country gathering to solve a mysterious case.

Rainbow’s Woori puts on aegyo for her fans







Rainbow‘s Woori recently shared a selca that flaunted her matured image as well as her pretty legs.


On June 7th she posted on her twitter, “Bbuing Bbuing~ I heard that ‘I Need a Fairy’ is really fun these days~?” promoting her sitcom while putting on some aegyo for her followers.


Fans who saw the tweet commented, “She has doll legs“, “Bbuing Bbuing pose… her cuteness is perfect“, and “I’m enjoying ‘I Need a Fairy’”.


Woori is currently playing the character of Go Riah in KBS2TV’s “I Need a Fairy“.

Rainbow’s Jisook and Woori to open game for Doosan Bears baseball team





Rainbow‘s Jisook and Woori will be opening for the Doosan Bears on May 30.


The two members of Rainbow will pitch and bat to give the game, being held at Seoul’s Jamshil Stadium, a festive start. Woori commented, “It’s an honor, and I also feel a bit of pressure opening the baseball game for the Doosan Bears, who I believe is the most popular team among female [fans of baseball]. However, I want to practice hard and show the best opening possible.”


Jisook also shared, “I’m so happy, nervous, and anxious to be invited to a Doosan Bears game, but I want to leave a performance with Woori unni that will [leave an impression].”

What does Rainbow’s Woori have in common with a puppy?





Rainbow‘s Woori shared an adorable selca with a puppy she apparently feels looks a bit like herself.


Woori posted to Twitter on May 29: “Looks like me, right? Hehehe. Our foreheads are half [our faces]. Kekeke.”


Despite what she seems to think, fans expressed that the Rainbow member still looked stunning. Woori managed to look amazing in a simple black shirt and little to no makeup.


Followers commented, “Forehead is half your face? You’re still pretty,” “The puppy and Go Woori, both are really cute,” and “Now that you say it, you do kind of look alike.”

Rainbow’s Woori and Park Min Woo parody Trouble Maker for ‘I Need a Fairy’





Actor Park Min Woo and Rainbow‘s Woori transformed into a ”Trouble Maker” couple for the KBS2 sitcom ‘I Need a Fairy‘!


The two are currently playing the roles of ‘Kukmin’ and ‘Lea’ who are trainees under the fictional 2H Entertainment. In the drama’s 53rd episode, the two will be making complete, sexy transformations into HyunA and Hyunseung for a special duet performance.


Considering that the sitcom has been hinting at a possible relationship between Kukmin and Lea, fans hoping for a love line will certainly enjoy how close they get to each other while rehearsing for the show.

‘I Need a Fairy’ releases new still cuts of Rainbow’s Woori and MBLAQ’s Lee Joon





On April 12th, producers of KBS‘s daily sitcom, ‘I Need a Fairy‘, released new still cuts featuring Rainbow‘s Woori and MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon!


Starting with the 33rd episode, Lee Joon and Woori will be making their appearances as passionate trainees under the fictional 2H Entertainment. Like the still cuts imply, the two are serious about achieving their dreams in contrast to ‘Cha Guk Min’, who feels put off by their energy and determination.


Lee Joon will be playing the role of a finnicky senior who tries to order ‘Cha Guk Min’ around while Woori will be playing the role of a rising trainee with a project already under her belt.


Producers stated, “As they’re both already singers, Woori and Lee Joon were able to bring out the characteristics of their roles, impressing the staff. Since they’re all around the same age, they were able to quickly get out of their awkward rut and get along together all throughout the filming.”

Rainbow’s Woori makes a cameo appearance on sitcom ‘I Need a Fairy’





Rainbow‘s Woori made a cameo appearance on the 29th episode of KBS sitcom ‘I Need a Fairy‘.


She played the part of Go Riah, a friend of character Hani and a trainee at fictional agency 2H Entertainment. Go Riah steals the heart of Seju’s son, Guk Min played by Park Min Woo.


Woori commented, “The atmosphere on set was so good that filming was fun. I’ll try really hard to show sides of myself that I haven’t been able to share before. Please look forward to [me and my activities] in the future.”


The episode of ‘I Need a Fairy’ featuring the Rainbow aired on April 6th at 7:45PM KST.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon & Rainbow’s Go Woori cast in sitcom, ‘I Need A Fairy’





 


MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon and Rainbow‘s Go Woori have been cast in the KBS2 sitcom, ‘I Need A Fairy‘.


According to J Tune, Lee Joon completed his first ‘I Need A Fairy’ shoot April 2nd, and he will playing the role of aspiring actor Lee Joon of Cha Sae Joo (Cha In Pyo)’s 2H Entertainment.


A representative close to Lee Joon remarked, “Lee Joon will be featuring in the drama series for about two months before MBLAQ’s Asia Tour.”


Rainbow’s Woori, who has also been cast in ‘I Need A Fairy’, will also be playing the role of a 2H Entertainment trainee.


Her agency DSP Media stated over the phone, “Go Woori is currently filming for ‘I Need A Fairy’, but we have not determined how long she will be playing a role in the sitcom.”


‘I Need A Fairy’ tells the story of a fairy mother and her fairy daughter who lose their wings and are forced to live on earth. The series airs every Monday through Friday at 7:45PM.

Amber and Woori confirmed to be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′ to focus on group activities





Yesterday, bouts of rumors claiming that f(x)‘s Amber and Rainbow’s Woori would be departing from their variety show, ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, turned up. Today, both members have confirmed the rumors to be true.


Following MC Lee Soo Geun and Lee Hyun Woo, Amber and Woori will be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′. Amber will be leaving to focus on f(x)’s comeback, which will take place in the first half of the year, while Woori is leaving to focus on Rainbow’s Japanese album activities.


Their last recording took place on March 28th, and many of the members shed tears as they bid the two goodbye. Their farewell episode will air on April 7th.


Gagwoman Kim Shin Young and model/TV star Lee So Ra will be joining the show as MCs.

f(x)’s Amber and Rainbow’s Woori rumored to leave ‘Invincible Youth 2′ + Lee So Ra to join as MC





Following the rumors of Hyoyeon and Sunny leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′ which has been denied by Girls’ Generation‘s representative, it has been reported that f(x)‘s Amber and Rainbow‘s Woori will be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, while Lee So Ra will be joining the list of the three MC’s.


According to a source in the entertainment industry, “The current two MC’s, Lee Soo Geun and Ji Hyun Woo, have decided to leave the show, and Lee So Ra will be joining Kim Shin Young to MC alongside with Boom.


They continued, “We believe that f(x)’s Amber and Rainbow’s Woori will be leaving the show. Regarding new members to join the G8 members, we still have yet to hear news. It will be revealed to the public as a surprise.


However, PD Song Joon Young of ‘Invincible Youth 2′ responded, “Nothing has been confirmed as of now.”

SISTAR’s Bora introduces her brother to G8, Rainbow’s Woori gets flustered





SISTAR‘s Bora has revealed her older brother on broadcast for the first time.


During the latest recording of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth 2‘, Bora’s older brother made a surprise visit to the set, grabbing the attention of the other G8 members.


The mothers of the other G8 members were present, and at first, Bora thought that hers didn’t make it. Disappointed, she muttered, “I called my mother a little while ago, but she said she was out playing with her friends.”


Moments later, Bora’s mom appeared, surprising her daughter.


Bora and the other G8 members spent the day showing their mothers around the idol village, introducing the barn they had built and the animals they had received.


Bora’s older brother appeared as another ‘surprise guest’, receiving an extra warm welcome from the G8 girls. Bora’s brother came to the ‘Invincible Youth 2′ set to help his mom with driving at night, but ended up meeting the G8 members.


While Bora was introducing her brother to the G8 members, Rainbow‘s Go Woori, who was taken by his good looks, could not hide her fluttering heart – drawing laughter amongst the other members.

G8 members Woori, Suzy, Bora, & Yewon snap a photo at the ‘Idol Star Championships’





The G8 members Jewelry‘s Kim Yewonmiss A‘s SuzySISTAR‘s Bora, and Rainbow‘s Go Woori snapped a few different photos together.


Kim Yewon shared some of the photos above via her official Twitter page and wrote, “We met at the Idol Championships! It was tough, but it was fun ^_^* Wahoo~~~~ We’re cute, aren’t we?”


The photos were taken during the MBC Lunar New Year special, ‘Idol Stars’ Track-and-Field & Swimming Championships‘.


We were supposed to give our best charismatic pose, but look at Suzy being cute for the camera all by herself!!!!!!!! This will never do,” she continued.


Different from her unnis that gave their best charismatic poses, Suzy smiled big and bright for the camera revealing her dazzling white teeth.


Netizens who saw the photo left comments such as, “The pretty members from each group?”, “Suzy is so cute“, and “Look at Yewon unni and Bora unni’s poses. Feel like I have to fork up all the cash in my wallet…


Meanwhile, the MBC special ‘Idol Star Championships’ is scheduled to air on the 24th.

KARA’s Jiyoung, Boom, and Ji Hyun Woo confirmed for ‘Invincible Youth 2′




Earlier today, it was confirmed that the producers of KBS‘s ‘Invincible Youth‘ had confirmed a second season for the hit variety show.

Names for the next ‘G7′ cast are finally starting to roll out as stars confirm their casting for the show. Unveiled today were KARA‘s Jiyoung for the ‘G7′ along with Boom and Ji Hyun Wooas the MCs of the show.

Representatives revealed that Jiyoung had confirmed her casting early on and is currently waiting for the show’s first filming. Fellow member Hara had created quite the image for herself in the previous season so many are looking forward to what KARA’s maknae will be like on screen.

Season one’s village chief, Noh Joo Hyun, also expressed an interest in returning for a second season, so fans are looking forward to quite the line-up.

Producers, however, are keeping their lips sealed regarding the rest of the cast, fueling the anticipation. Through TV Daily, one official revealed, “I heard that HyoyeonSunnyAmber,Woori, and Suzy are strong candidates final line-up. Filming will begin on October 26th.”

Other names currently in talks are Yewon and Bora. A representative of KBS, however, stated,“We cannot reveal which members are confirmed. You will all find out during the first broadcast. Even the members themselves don’t know who they will be working with yet.”
