Girl’s Day Yura joins the cast of ‘To the Beautiful You’





Girl’s Day‘s Yura will be making her first domestic drama debut through the highly anticipated project, ‘To the Beautiful You‘!


The member has taken to Twitter previously to hint at her upcoming appearance in the drama, and now the news has been officially announced by her agency. A representative revealed that Yura will be bringing laughs through her role of Lee Eun Young, who is a die-hard fan of Kang Tae Jun (played by Minho), the record-holder in the World Junior Athletic Championship for high jump.


Yura previously stated through twitter, “Filming for the drama is so fun and seems well suited for me… If more opportunities come my way, I would like to purse acting in addition to singing.”


Although this is her first drama appearance in Korea, this is not the singer’s first time acting for she has previously participated in the Chinese drama ‘Secret Angel‘ (featuring Jang Woo Hyuk and Kim So Eun), which aired through Sohu.com.



Girl’s Day shares a drink with Kim Soo Hyun?







The members of Girl’s Day have revealed themselves as big fans of actor Kim Soo Hyun.


Girl’s Day member Sojin tweeted on the 20th, “Oh ho ho ho. Today, I shyly… drank from a straw in the same cup as the [fabulous] Kim Soo Hyun… Ah! My heart’s fluttering, kuku.


At this, fellow member Yura announced proudly, “After Sojin unni, I also shared a drink with Kim Soo Hyun at the coffee shop. Hoot.” Minah then added cutely, “Oh my! [This means that] the unnis and I shared an indirect k… k… kiss….


The picture attached to the tweets show the three Girl’s Day members “sharing a drink” with a paper cut-out of Kim Soohyun advertising a coffee brand.


Fans who noticed the tweets commented, “Proof that the Girl’s Day members are fans of Kim Soo Hyun,” “There are no girls who don’t like Kim Soo Hyun,” and “They all look good with him.

Girl’s Day’s Yura shares childhood photos for the first time









Childhood photos of Girl’s Day member Yura have been revealed.


On June 14th, Yura shared two photos (below) on her Twitter and wrote, “I happened to find these photos of a 4-year old Yura while browsing through an album >_<!! Who knew I had these sort of moments… The second photo is of me sleeping while riding on a swing at home. My hair looks funny.


Upon seeing the photos, fans couldn’t help but laugh at the second photo as she’s seen sleeping on a swing with her head tilted back and her hair tied up in a cute ponytail.


Fans responded to her tweet commenting, “You’re so cute!“, “Who’s that girl?“, “Adorable baby Yura“, and more.

Who are the top 3 idols with amazing drawing skills?





Recently, an online community post, titled ‘The three idols who are also artists‘, has been drawing a lot of interest as pictures of three talented idols and their impressive drawings were posted.


The three selected by netizens to be the best artists among all idols were Rainbow‘s Jaekyung, Girl’s Day‘s Yura, and A Pink‘s Na-Eun. These three young ladies are particularly known to have discovered their natural ability to draw via art and design classes that they have taken within their respective schools.


Jaekyung’s drawing of a tiger especially impressed netizens due to its realistic and detailed look. As her particular artistic skill has amazed and captured the attention of the general public, she has been chosen as the best idol-artist.

Girl&#8217;s Day Minah reveals her ideal date






Popular girl group Girl’s Day member Minah recently shared her thoughts about an ideal date.


The singer and fellow member Yura guested on the May 26th episode of MBC’s ‘Quiz that Changes the World‘ along with other guests such as Kim Boo Sun, Lim Sung Min, Park Myung Soo, Kim Kyung Jin, and Ahn Mun Sook.


During the program, the singer was asked what she wants to do the most now that she has turned 20 years old. To this, she shyly answered, “Now that I’m 20 years old, I want to start dating.”


The emcees then asked her about her dream date to which she replied, “I want to walk around a fountain of water at night with my boyfriend and have a conversation with him.”


In addition, Minah showed off her acting skills by impersonating actress Kim Young Ae from the drama ‘The Moon That Embraces The Sun‘ on the same episode, and caused the set to break out into laughter.

Caricatures of the Girl&#8217;s Day members draw laughs from netizens





Caricatures that the Girl’s Day members drew of each other have recently become a hot topic among netizens.


Girl’s Day member Minah uploaded a photo to her Twitter of all the caricatures the members drew of each other while waiting to record, along with the caption, “Hung, I already have such deep laugh lines at this age“, which drew laughter from netizens who saw the photo.


The caricatures livened up each members’ distinctive features, along with names that also displayed the members’ different personalities, such as “Fashion King So” (Sojin), “Dance Jihae” (Jihae), “Game Yura” (Yura), “Thread Minah” (Minah), and “Dark Hyeri” (Hyeri).


Netizens who saw the caricatures complimented the girls, leaving such comments as, “If you look carefully, each person’s distinct characteristics were accurately drawn“, and “It looks like you have fun while you’re waiting.”


Girl’s Day is currently busy promoting their 2nd mini album, ‘Every Day 2‘, and their new single “Oh! My God“.
