VIP seats at B.A.P’s Taiwanese Showcase sell out within 5 minutes!

Powerful group B.A.P has already sold out the VIP tickets for their Taiwanese showcase!

On June 30th, G-Music, the company that will be hosting the showcase, put up the tickets for sale on it’s website. Around 600 VIP tickets were available, and amazingly, they were all sold out within 5 minutes.

VIP tickets that were being sold offline have also attracted a lot of traffic, as stores selling them saw long lines of eager B.A.P fans. Surprisingly, there were also a large number of male fans seen waiting in these lines, defying the popular theory that boy groups tend to only attract female fans.

After having sold out all available VIP tickets, G-Music is currently receiving an overwhelming number of requests for not only more tickets, but also for a recorded interview with B.A.P. Such a high level of demand for a new face in the KPop scene is extremely rare, and is thus particularly exciting for both B.A.P and supporters of the Hallyu Wave.

In other news, B.A.P, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and more have recently departed Korea for the ‘K-POP Nation Concert in Macao 2012′. Afterwards, each group will be holding a showcase independent from each other in Malaysia.

JYJ’s Junsu visits Taiwan for his solo Asia tour

On June 22nd, JYJ‘s Junsu arrived at Taiwan for his next stop in his solo Asia tour promotion.

Opening up with a press conference at the Grand Formosa Hotel, Junsu was interviewed by major media outlets along with a number of surprise events planned by his event sponsors. Before the start of the interviews, they had prepared a special table of traditional Taiwanese food for Junsu to taste and try such as apple pies, pineapple pies, various fried foods, and bubble tea. Junsu didn’t spare his praise, commenting that they were delicious.

When the host mentioned that Junsu must feel lonely visiting the country alone, the host and his interpreter amused the crowd by offering to act as fellow members Jaejoong and Yoochun.

Junsu expressed, “It’s been a year since I last visited Taiwan for JYJ’s concert last year so it feels very new to me. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly. I promise you a great concert.”

When asked how he felt pursuing solo promotions for the first time in nine years, he replied, “It’s pressuring, but there are also a lot of things to look forward to. I’m able to express a color more closer to my own thoughts compared to when working with a group and it’s highly exciting to show that to my fans. As opposed to feeling lonely for being by myself, there are some awkward moments since I’m used to being able to talk and rest with the other members back at the hotel. I’ve been thinking of them more often while on this tour.”

Junsu will be holding his fourth Asia tour concert at the Taiwan University gymnasium on June 23rd.

Park Myung Soo faces an awkward situation with Taiwanese F.CUZ fans

Comedian Park Myung Soo’s genuine, sarcastic antics are generally well received by the audience from his home turf. Those familiar with the comedian’s style take his words with a grain of salt. However, he faced a tough crowd after what seems to have been a joke lost in translation.

The incident occurred on an episode of Park’s own TV program, ‘Park Myung Soo’s Moving TV’, that featured idol group F.CUZ as guests. The episode progressed as usual until the “live chat” portion of the show when the comedian and F.CUZ chatted in real-time with Taiwanese fans.

The fans were, as expected, delighted to see the F.CUZ members live on camera. After a few questions were exchanged, Park suddenly asked the audience: “Aside from F.CUZ, what other K-pop groups are currently popular in Taiwan?” to which the fans enthusiastically shouted, “F.CUZ!

The atmosphere of the interview then turned awkward when the host jokingly commented, “It makes me a bit disappointed (to hear that).” After Park made the comment, the fans immediately grew quiet, displaying confused and aggravated faces.

A rather stunned Park then quickly attempted to alleviate the awkward atmosphere, saying, “Please laugh everyone!
