Super Junior’s Kyuhyun jokingly teased for losing the #1 spot to Huh Gak

Kyuhyun explained why Huh Gak was able to triumph Super Junior for the #1 spot in the past.

On the May 16th episode of MBC ‘Radio Star‘, MC Yoo Sae Yoon introduced guest Huh Gak, stating, “He is the first ‘Super Star K’ alumnus to triumph Super Junior for the #1 spot.”

All in good fun of getting the maknae MC riled up, Yoo Sae Yoon then faced Kyuhyun and teased, “You lost?” Yoon Jong Shin joined in on the joke stating, “I heard they got obliterated,” evoking laughter amongst the guests.

Kyuhyun tried to explain patiently, “It happened when we started promoting our follow-up song after “Mr.Simple” had been #1 for five weeks straight.” However, he soon lost his composure as he blurted, “5 weeks is a lot too… what more do you want!” causing everyone to continue roaring in laughter over the hilarious banter.

Super Junior claims #1 spot on Taiwanese music chart for 100 consecutive weeks

Super Junior has claimed the #1 slot on a Taiwanese music chart for 100 straight weeks.

From the first week of June 2010 to the second week of August 2011, Super Junior claimed the #1 spot on Taiwanese music chart ‘KKBOX‘ for 63 weeks straight.

Immediately after, Super Junior’s “Mr. Simple” also seized the #1 spot from the third week of August 2011 until the present, for 37 weeks straight.

The boys have broken a new record, as this is the first time an artist has claimed the top spot on the KKBOX Korean Music Weekly TOP 100 Chart for 100 consecutive weeks.

“We are so glad and honored to have remained at the #1 spot for 100 weeks straight,” the members said. “Even we think this is very surprising, and we would like to once again thank our fans.”

In related news, Super Junior’s ‘Super Show 4‘ is well underway, and the boys will be performing at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on May 12th and 13th for 100,000 of their local fans.

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk thanks fans for ‘Mr.Simple’ album sales

On April 21st, Super Junior‘s Eunhyuk tweeted, “I know it’s a little late but thank you. When I first heard that we hit the 500,000 sales mark, it seemed unreal but it feels great and gives me pride. I thank everyone who bought the album. With this strength, we will prepare the 6th album well,” and thanked all the ELF out there.

Eunhyuk also added, “And thank you ‘Eunhyukdotcom’ for the celebratory cake. I will leave a comment soon” and shared the two above photos.

Eunhyuk and Leeteuk are seen holding up the cake and smiling for the camera, probably right before digging into the cake.

After seeing Eunhyuk’s tweets and pictures, netizens commented, “Congratulations on the 500,000 sales“, “Hope to hear more songs soon“, and “I wish you guys daebak on the 6th album!”

As reported earlier, Super Junior recently hit the 500,000 sales mark for their album ‘Mr.Simple’.
