After School, Verbal Jint, and Son Dambi have been added to the line up for the music festival ‘Green Groove.’

A representative for the ‘Green Groove Festival’ stated on July 10th, “Popular group After School, Verbal Jint as well as Son Dambi have agreed to join the festival.  World star Akon and the Wonder Girls will perform their collaboration song, ‘Like Money‘ and with the addition of the three artists, there will be a lot of variety in the performances.”

After School recently came back with their new song ‘Flashback‘ which has been gaining popularity and shows off their power and sexiness on the stage.  Also, Son Dambi starred in the hit MBC drama ‘Light and Shadow‘ which just went off the air earlier this month and showed that she can be a successful actress as well.  She is preparing for her comeback to the music scene next month and will meet her fans first through her stage at ‘Green Groove.’

Hip Hop artist Verbal Jint has a hit song titled ‘Good Morning‘ featuring 10cm and the two teams will come together for a collaboration stage at the festival.

Also performing at the ‘Green Groove Festival’ will be electro live band Infected Mushroom and many foreign acts as well. Mighty Mouth, stars from Mnet’s ‘Voice Korea‘ Song Seung Yeon, Woo Hae Mi, Yoo Sung Eun, Ji Sae Hee, indie band Delispice, and many more popular groups will all be performing.

The ‘Green Groove Festival’ will take place on July 21st and 22nd in Choong Nam.

Singer and actress Son Dambi uploaded a selca from her recent vacation.

On the morning on July 6th, Son Dambi posted a photo and tweeted, “I am in Ko Samui!  A quick photo^^.”

In the photo, Son Dambi shows her small face with sunglasses that cover half her face.  It seems that the beautiful diva is on a short vacation with the completion of MBC’s ‘Light and Shadow‘ that she stared in.  Even in her comfortable clothes she exudes a celebrity force.

Netizens who saw the tweet commented, “She has such a small face… or are her sunglasses that big?“, “Son Dambi is pretty~“, and “I want to see you as a singer again.”

The drama that Son Dambi appeared on called ‘Light and Shadows’ aired its final episode on the 3rd.

Son Dam Bi wraps up filming for her drama, ‘Light and Shadow’

The filming for MBC‘s drama ‘Light and Shadow‘ recently came to a close, and Son Dam Bi decided to leave a message of gratitude for her staff and fans ahead of the show’s final broadcast.

She tweeted, “We finally finished the last recording today. I’ve learned a lot from my seniors and teachers during the 64 episodes~ ^^ The director and staff all worked so hard. I won’t be able to forget you guys. Thank you. And thank you to everyone who loved ‘Light and Shadow’ ^^.”

Along with two group photos of the cast and staff, Son Dam Bi also thought to include a special shout out to her manager, writing, “Our manager Eul Kwon also worked hard!”

Son Dam Bi snaps a picture with ‘Light and Shadow’ cast

Model, artist, and actress Son Dam Bi recently shared a picture she had taken with her drama co-stars on MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘.

“A celebratory shot from the last outdoor filming for ‘Light and Shadow’,” she said. “Tomorrow is really the last filming day.”

Wearing their stage costumes, Son Dam Bi is striking a familiar pose with fellow actors and actresses Yoo Chae Young, Sung Ji Roo, and Ahn Jae Wook.

“The last episode is tomorrow! I’m so sad,” said a viewer, expressing his regret at the conclusion of the popular drama series. ”I hope it can be lengthened,” said another.

Meanwhile, ‘Light and Shadow’ will air its final episode on July 3rd.

Actor Kim Hee Won reveals his close relationship with Narsha

Actor Kim Hee Won is receiving attention for revealing his close relationship with his drama co-star from ‘Light and Shadow‘, Narsha.

On the latest broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘, Kim Hee Won stated, “After previousy appearing on ‘Radio Star’ with Narsha, we’ve become a lot closer.”

MC Yoon Jong Shin commented, “As a matter of fact, there are rumors going around you and Narsha,” and began questioning the actor saying, “We heard you guys ate together, exchanged numbers, and even went for a drive.”

To this, Kim Hee Won explained, “This is my first time hearing about going on a drive with her. But after recording ‘Radio Star’ together, we’ve been able to comfortably chat and have become a lot closer. I call her, ‘Narsha’, and she calls me, ‘Oppa’.”

Ryu Dam talks about going to the bathroom with Ahn Jae Wook

Comedian Ryu Dam confessed that there was a time he went to the bathroom together with Ahn Jae Wook.

Ryu Dam was a guest on the June 27th episode of MBC’s ‘Radio Star‘ and said, “I am Ahn Jae Wook’s right hand man even in everyday life.”

He went on to say, “There was this one day when we were filming outside.  Ahn Jae Wook wanted to go to the bathroom but he is a little timid so he could not say anything.  So I went with him,” and surprised the studio.

Ahn Jae Wook said, “For some reason, I don’t like people knowing that I have to use the bathroom.”

This particular episode of ‘Radio Star’ was a special featuring the cast of MBC’s ‘Light and Shadow‘, so the guests were Ahn Jae Wook, Kim Hee Won, Jo Mi Ryung and Ryu Dam.

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha reveals the second dress made by her mom

It seems as though Brown Eyed Girls Narsha‘s mother has a knack for making dresses.

On June 19th, the singer-actress shared another photo (left) of a handmade dress she received from her mother. She posted on Twitter, “Madam Park’s second work of art. This time, it’s a red, one-piece dress. I wore it well, mother.”

A few minutes later, she tweeted again, “But the uncomfortable truth is that I don’t have many days left [I'll be able] to wear the outfits my mom makes for me.”

The revealed photo shows Narsha in a cute, crimson one-piece dress and a yellow belt to finish off the look. Narsha, who’s currently starring in MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘ as Lee Hye Bin, has worn the dresses made by her mom for the drama’s filming.

Fans commented, “Wow, your mom is skilled,” “I love the dress,” “You look beautiful,” “I can’t believe the drama is coming to an end soon,” and more.

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha snaps a photo with her co-stars in ‘Light and Shadow’

Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha (as Lee Hye Bin) recently revealed a photo she took with her co-stars, Cho Tae Su (as Kim Rae Ha) and Yang Dong Chul (as Ryu Dam) on the set of MBC‘s drama ‘Light and Shadow‘.

On June 16th, the singer-actress tweeted the photo above and wrote, “Ryu Dam oppa (right) ruined the photo. Euhaha.”

The photo shows Narsha resting her arms on both actors’ shoulders. Each are striking a chic pose except for Yang Dong Chul, who’s seen flashing a bright smile for the camera.

Lee Hye Bin, who was selected as the new CF model for a duck chain restaurant, appeared on the June 11th episode of ‘Light and Shadow’ wearing a duck costume, bringing much laughter to viewers.

Son Dam Bi to return to the music scene in August

‘Dancing queen’ Son Dam Bi, who announced her comeback for next month, has unfortunately pushed it back to August.

According to Pledis, Son Dam Bi plans on releasing her new album immediately after her drama, MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘, comes to an end

With a total of 50 episodes, ‘Light and Shadow’ began airing in November of 2011 and was scheduled to end in May, which initially lead Son Dam Bi to make her return in July. However, due to the 14-episode extension of ‘Light and Shadow’, the singer and actress had no choice but to delay her comeback to a later date in August.

Although August will overlap with the 2012 London Olympics, Son Dam Bi has decided to release her album right after ‘Light and Shadow’ ends filming as it will be her first comeback in 2 years.

Som Dam Bi released her album ‘The Queen‘ in July of 2010 and her digital single,’dB Rider‘, two months later. Despite her busy schedule for the MBC drama, the singer has been preparing for her upcoming album since the second half of last year. She has completed recording the album and mastering the choreography for her comeback song. All that is left is to begin filming the music video.

A representative from Pledis stated, “As this is her first comeback in a while, she is aiming to perfect her comeback preparation. Although her comeback has been delayed, we will take advantage of the extra time to better prepare for it.”

Powerful vocal group Brown Eyed Girls‘ member Narsha has transformed into an adorable duck for her role in MBC‘s drama ‘Light and Shadow‘.

On June 11th, the singer-actress shared the photo above on Twitter and simply wrote, “Lonely.” Attached was a full-body shot of herself donning a duck animal costume and putting on a chic pose wile leaning against a frame.

A few minutes later, she then tweeted, “Full of hopes and dreams,” along with the photo below. This time, Narsha was accompanied by two girls sitting on her lap while wearing a duckling costume.

4minute‘s Gayoon is receiving attention for her charms in MBC‘s drama ‘Light and Shadow‘.

In ‘Light and Shadow’, Gayoon perfectly pulled off the role of Hyungyung, leader of a famous group Purple Sisters, with her strong vocals and dance skills. She attracted the viewers’ attention for her infinite amount of charms.

In the drama, Purple Sisters is a three-member girl group that achieves stardom with their stage outfits as well as their music and performance, which are ahead of their time.

The Brown Eyed Girls member is currently playing the part of aspiring singer Hye Bin on MBC‘s ’Light and Shadow‘.

Pilot episode of ‘Big’ ranks last in viewer ratings for Monday/Tuesday dramas

KBS‘s new Monday/Tuesday drama ‘Big‘ has debuted at the bottom of the battle for viewer ratings.

According to a release made by AGB Nielsen Media Report on June 5th, the pilot episode of the drama, which broadcast on the 4th, recorded 7.9% in viewer ratings nationwide. This still makes it a 2% increase for the KBS time slot since ‘Love Rain‘ concluded at 5.9% on May 29th.

MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘ recorded 20.3% and SBS’s ‘Chaser‘ recorded 9.2% in the same time slots.

Despite coming in at last, the drama’s been receiving positive reviews for being the work of the ‘Hong Sisters’, as well as for Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung‘s comical chemistry.

Singer and new actress Brown Eyed Girls‘ Narsha revealed that she does not dislike telling dirty jokes.

Narsha guested on the May 9th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star‘ where she opened up about her true feelings regarding being voted as the #2 celebrity best at telling dirty jokes.

“When I began my variety show appearances on ‘Invincible Youth‘, my character gradually turned into the celebrity who’s best at telling dirty jokes. But that doesn’t mean I dislike it,” she said, causing the studio to burst into laughter.

Narsha had earned herself the nickname “Adult-dol” during season 1 of ‘Invincible Youth’ due to the age gap between the other members and herself. Her funny yet naughty jokes on the show caught a lot of attention from viewers.

Meanwhile, the #1 celebrity best at telling the jokes was none other than MC Shin Dong Yup, who has defended the #1 position for 15 consecutive years.

4minute’s Gayoon to make her acting debut in ‘Light and Shadow’

4minute‘s Gayoon will be transforming into a hit ’80s singer for MBC‘s ‘Light and Shadow‘.

Gayoon is making her first attempt at acting in this week’s filming of the drama. She’ll be playing the role of Hyun Kyung, the leader of the 1980s’ most popular group ‘Purple Sisters’.

It is expected that ‘Purple Sisters’ will deliver a powerful performance, and introduce current viewers to the flashy retro outfits that cement their status as the true trend setters of the era. The girls of 4minute have been known for trendy styles themselves, and Gayoon is transforming into a 1980s diva this time around.

Hyun Kyung is an important character in the drama so only after much careful thinking did Gayoon decide to play the role.

She revealed her thoughts on acting in ‘Light and Shadow’ saying, “It is an honor to be working with senior actors in this production. I am even more excited and looking forward to this role because my character is a singer. I will be a different singer than the one I am on stage, and this will be my first time acting so I will be showing a new side to myself. I will be studying acting more closely and preparing to show a new fashion style based on ’80s fashion.”

The producers behind ‘Light and Shadow’ talked about adding Gayoon to the show stating, “We were looking for someone who can sing, dance, has a fashion sense, and someone with a cafe singer type of charm, so we looked into the main vocalists of performing groups. Gayoon, who has been known as a fashionista, is transforming into an ’80s diva and will bring a new kind of energy to this production.”

Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha discusses her thoughts about being compared to Ga-In and Son Dam Bi

Brown Eyed Girls member Narsha guest-featured on the May 2nd episode of ‘Radio Star‘ along with actors Lee Sae Chang and Kim Hee Won for the ‘Light and Shadows‘ special.

The three guests who are currently starring on the MBC Monday-Tuesday drama shared a few behind-the-scenes stories as well as answering a few tough questions regarding their relationship with their co-stars.

MC Kyuhyun began by questioning Narsha about co-star Son Dam Bi. “Do you feel weird about Son Dam Bi being one of the leads in the drama when she is your hoobae?“, he asked.

“Not at all,” Narsha remarked. “I’m the most inexperienced and I just kind of rolled in out of nowhere, so I’m just trying to do the best I can.”

The emcees later brought up the hot topic regarding Narsha also being compared to fellow group member Ga-In when it comes to acting. Narsha answered, “This is an opportunity I have been given, and I am just trying to do my best.”
