NU’EST left stranded in the air for over an hour due to Typhoon Bolaven

Rookie group NU’EST was recently met with an unfortunate situation on their way back to Korea on August 28th.

NU’EST had left for Sydney, Australia on the 24th to appear as judges for the ‘2012 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival‘. After successfully performing as judges in Australia, when the members were returning to Korea their plane was unable to land at Incheon International Airport due to the strong winds and rain from Typhoon Bolaven.

Fortunately for the group and other passengers on board, they eventually arrived safely in Incheon, but the inclement weather forced their plane to stay in the air for over an hour.

After landing in Korea, the members expressed, “We were shocked by the force of Typhoon Bolaven. It was terrifying just having to hover in the skies for an hour, so we feel very sad knowing that there are a lot of farmers and people who have fell victim to the typhoon. They say the strong winds are still continuing so we hope everybody stays safe.”

Aside from NU’EST, other groups like Super Junior and ZE:A faced a similar situations due to the deteriorating weather conditions as their flights were either canceled or delayed.
