Big Bang’s Seungri successfully wraps up first solo fan meetings in Japan

YG Entertainment told allthatkpops that Big Bang‘s Seungri has successfully completed his first solo fan meetings in Japan.

Tickets to the two sets of August 26th fan meetings held at Shinkiba Studio Coast, which he set up himself, are reported to have sold out. Including the Osaka event planned for September 9th, 80,000 people total signed up for the 9,000-seat show.

For the fan meetings, the Big Bang member sang his renditions of Hideaki Tokunaga‘s “Rainy Blue” and AKB‘s “Heavy Rotation“. The highlight of the show came when he sang “What Can I Do” from his first solo mini-album ‘V.V.I.P‘, which was released back in January of 2011.

Seungri has been promoting solo in Japan since July for a 3-month run as a regular on Fuji TV‘s ‘Sakigake! Ongaku Bangjuke Eight‘ as well as his own variety show ‘V.I from Big Bang‘.

In related news, Big Bang is currently traveling the world for their concert tour ‘Big Bang Alive Tour 2012‘, which is opening in 25 cities throughout 16 countries.

Big Bang’s Seungri chosen as the next successful idol CEO

Big Bang‘s Seungri has been chosen as the next idol CEO to make it big in the business world.

During this week’s ‘Weekly Idol‘, idol members voted on the topic, “The idol CEO who is most likely to become successful as an entrepreneur.” The survey didn’t restrict the voting to just idols who are already CEOs, but also included the option of picking those who seem like they would become good businessmen.

The idol that came in at #1 was revealed to be Seungri, who has always shown interest in the business aspect of things. Having set up a music and dance academy in his hometown last year, the idol has already become a CEO, and with his business minded ways he has also shown his interest in managing Big Bang.

Other stars who made the top 7 were JYJ‘s Jaejoong, Kim Hyun Joong, BoA, and more.

G-Dragon shares photo of MC Seungri interviewing guests Big Bang on Sakigake

As many of you know already, Seungri (V.I.) was chosen as an MC on Fuji TV‘s ‘Sakigake! Ongaku Banzuke Eight‘. The charismatic maknae recently interviewed his fellow Big Bang members who were special guests on the show.

On August 25th, G-Dragon tweeted the following:

G-Dragon teases with another photo for his upcoming comeback + a shot from Big Bang’s new MV?

After unveiling several teaser photos and a video teaser, G-Dragon will be finally unleashing the long awaited music video for “One of a Kind“!

However, before the release, the singer took to Twitter to tease fans once more with a new photo of himself decked out in full costume and a new hair do showcasing his transformation for his upcoming comeback

It seems fans are not the only ones eagerly waiting with anticipation, for the singer tweeted along with the above photo, “Soon…! “ONE OF A KIND” MV is coming out. Y’all Ready For This? Ahh I’m shaking~ Please give it a lot of love *bow*”.

In addition, he also gave fans a sneak peek at a upcoming shot from the group’s MV earlier with another tweet that stated, “Since you all know that we’re shooting a music video because of Seungri, here’s a shot!” with the photo below.

Big Bang’s Seungri has trouble responding to Taeyang’s text message?

Big Bang‘s Seungri is having a hard time thinking of what to write back to member Taeyang‘s text message.

On August 17th, Seungri shared a screenshot of his text conversation with Taeyang onto his me2day and wrote, “I sent a text message to Taeyang hyung for the first time in a while. He replied back in English. What should I do? This is tough. What would you guys reply with?”

Seungri started the conversation by texting, “Hyung, what are you doing?” But to his surprise, Taeyang had texted him back in English with, “Nothing! How r u?“, leaving Seungri in a sticky situation.

Fans left comments underneath his post with, “Text back in Korean saying ‘I’m fine. Thank you, and you?’“, “Reply back in Japanese“, and “You’re so cute, oppa.”

Big Bang’s Seungri secures his own show + MC position on Japanese TV

Although he’s only started his Japanese activities just a month ago, Big Bang‘s Seungri has already secured himself his own broadcast show and MC position!

Following the conclusion of Big Bang’s Japanese tour in June, Seungri stayed behind in Japan to better show off his charms and skills to the Japanese public. Recently, YG Entertainment shared with allthatkpops that he had his first solo broadcast titled ‘V.I. From Big Bang‘, which first aired at 10 p.m. on August 2nd. The show is set up so that fans can vote and decide what he’ll be covering.

Not only that, but Seungri was also chosen as a special MC on Fuji TV‘s ‘Sakigake! Ongaku Banzuke Eight‘ where he interviewed Oguri Shun, EXILE’s Akira, Takei Emi, and more.

Representatives of YG Entertainment commented, “Japanese broadcast officials have given high remarks to Seungri’s good work ethic and drive. He’s also been studying Japanese diligently by putting up Japanese diary posts on Big Bang’s mobile fanclub, ‘BIGBANG☆WORLD’. His skills have improved to the point where he can take on MC positions with no problems.”

Seungri has also been featuring in variety shows like Yomiuri TV‘s ‘Yoshimoto Jounetsu Comedy‘ and performing the “Fantastic Baby” dance with popular gagmen.

In just a month, Seungri has already achieved so much with his solo activities and is continuing to grow and improve, thus receiving an abundance of love calls from local broadcast stations. Seungri will continue his solo and group activities through the year-end with Big Bang’s ‘Galaxy Tour Alive 2012‘.

Actor Shin Hyun Joon reveals a past photo with Big Bang’s Seungri

Actor Shin Hyun Joon revealed an old photo he took with Big Bang‘s Seungri.

On July 28th, Shin Hyun Joon shared the above picture and tweeted, “Puahahaha, I found a funny picture. Sea sick, Seungri zero times, me fifty thousand times.”

The revealed picture was taken back in 2010, and it shows the two stars side-by-side on a ship dressed in fisherman clothing. Shin Hyun Joon looks like he’s out of it due to sea sickness, while Seungri looks as if he’s trying to comfort him as he puts his arms around him, making a sad face.

Netizens commented, “Shin Hyun Joon’s expression is so funny,” “Dependable maknae Seungri,” and “I want the two to be on TV again.”

Shin Hyun Joon and Seungri met when they were both on MBC‘s ‘Sunday Sunday Night‘ back in 2010.

Big Bang’s Seungri to pursue solo activities in Japan

Big Bang‘s Seungri has revealed that he will be pursuing solo activities in Japan until September.

On June 19th, Seungri and Daesung made an appearance on the popular Japanese radio program “All Night Nippon” addressing the group’s future activities in Japan. Seungri stated, “The other Big Bang members will be participating in their own solo activities in Korea, while I will remain in Japan from July to September to work on a variety of activities. I look forward to appearing on many programs“.

A spokesperson for the Japanese media outlet stated, “There have been no final decisions made on which programs Seungri will be appearing on but he is planning on making an appearance on a variety program. He will not be performing solo on music programs“.

A representive for Big Bang also stated, “There have been no confirmations made, however, Seungri will begin his personal activties starting from an appearance on a variety show“.

Seungri has reportedly been stated to be very committed and excited about pursuing his solo activities in Japan. Big Bang’s representative stated, “Seungri wanted to gain experience in a variety of fields. Thankfully, there was an oppurtunity between the world tour for him to do so, which is why we have decided for Seungri to participate in solo activities in Japan“.

Upon finishing his personal activities in Japan on the 9th, Seungri will join his members again to advance with their world tour in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

Additionally on the program, the two revealed some of the group’s secrets, such as: T.O.P looking in front of the mirror for about 12 hours a day and G-DRAGON buying female clothing. The duo also showed some imitations of Tanoshingo (33) and SUGI-chan (38).

Additional “Still Alive” teaser photo for Seungri released

In addition to the teaser images and the latest teaser video, one more teaser photo of Big Bang‘s Seungri has been released.

The new photo, which had only been available for official VIP fan club members before, was unveiled on various Korean music portals to the public today. Through the new picture, Seungri shows off his sharp jaw line as he rocks the smokey eye makeup.

The group’s new special repackaged album ‘Still Alive‘ will be released online on June 3rd, followed by the offline release on June 6th.

Big Bang releases Daesung and Seungri’s teasers for “Monster”

After releasing G-Dragon, T.O.P, and Taeyang‘s teaser images for the group’s upcoming title song “Monster”, Big Bang has provided fans a double whammy, revealing both Seungri and Daesung‘s solo images!

With all the five member teasers for the upcoming ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’ album having already been revealed, fans are getting treated to glimpses of the music video for the album’s title song with these new photos for “Monster”

In the newly released images, we’re treated to much more of the apocalyptic set than in previous teasers.  Daesung has added fur to his KTZ harness, worn during their last promotions.  He also has kept his now golden locks, much to the delight of fans.  Seungri meanwhile, long-tailed jacket, similar to T.O.P’s standing  in front of what looks like an exploding vehicle, remniscent of the group’s “Love Song” music video.

Both the album and “Monster” music video are due out on June 3rd KST.

Big Bang has just revealed the teaser image of Seungri for the group’s upcoming new album ‘Still Alive — Special Edition‘!

Like the first teaser image of G-Dragon, the picture posted on the official Big Bang Facebook is simply an image of Seungri’s outfit without the member himself.

The ‘Still Alive’ album and an accompanying music video is scheduled to be released on June 3rd.

Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri to have special performance on Sunday’s ‘Inkigayo’

According to recent reports, Big Bang‘s Seungri and Daesung will be MCing on April 15th with IU at SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo‘.  In addition, Daesung and Seungri are also slated to serenade fans with their own special performance on the show.

The two will temporarily replace Kara‘s Nicole and Goo Hara who have other schedules to attend  in Japan.

A lot of fans are anticipating their return to hosting, as Daesung has experience with a variety of TV programs including, SBS‘s ‘Family Outing‘, while Seungri is known for his skillful and humorous variety acts as displayed in his numerous appearances on a variety of shows.  The two will be collaborating as a duo for the first time in two years, since they returned to MBC‘s Music Core as MC’s for their 200th episode special.

Big Bang’s Daesung and Seungri to emcee this week’s ‘Inkigayo’ with IU

Big Bang‘s Daesung and Seungri will temporarily be emceeing alongside IU for this week’s (April 15th) broadcast of ‘Inkigayo‘.

The two Big Bang members will be filling in for KARA‘s Goo Hara and Nicole, who are currently in Japan for their Japanese concert.

Daesung and Seungri have already experienced emceeing as they have previously hosted MBC‘s ‘Music Core‘ for a year previously. Fans are highly anticipating their comeback as MCs after two years, and are looking forward to their interactions with IU.

A representative of YG Entertainment revealed, “Because they haven’t hosted a program for a while, Daesung and Seungri have been practicing and helping each other during their spare time while promoting overseas.”

It’s too bad Taeyang couldn’t also join them. IU would have sure liked that!

Big Bang’s G-Dragon caught Seungri downloading adult films from the internet

Big Bang‘s leader G-Dragon threw Seungri under the bus, revealing the maknae‘s secret hobbies.

On the April 3rd episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘, G-Dragon began to say, “This may not be surprising because it’s about Seungri, but…”

G-Dragon went on to explain that while Big Bang was in New York City to film their music videos, Seungri briefly borrowed their manager’s laptop.

“Looking at the browsing history after Seungri used the laptop, there were a lot of pornographic videos with blonde ladies in them,” G-Dragon continued. “The internet speed was so slow because we were overseas that he couldn’t even finish downloading the entire video,” he added, causing everyone to explode in laughter.

Seungri tried to come to his own defense by remarking, “I’m a huge fan of the Kia Tigers professional baseball team, and I was simply downloading clips of baseball to watch.”

Seungri reveals Dara stepped on the hearts of three guys

Big Bang member Seungri revealed some secrets about Dara‘s love life.

On the March 27th broadcast of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘, Seungri said, “Dara always says on TV that she has never had a boyfriend, but in fact she is a very scary girl.”

He continued, “Sandara told me she was lonely so I set her up with two guys who were Lee Seung Gi style, the type of guy that every girl likes. But Dara didn’t keep in contact with them so they both lost touch.”

Seungri continued to talk about a third guy that he introduced to her. He was a gentle guy who actively approached Dara with an open heart. He even went to her house to see her but she did not come out to meet him.

In regards to this, Dara explained, “He was someone who actively pursued me but I was worried about how he might have a misconception of who I really am. I have a bright and cute image on television but in reality, I am not like that. I was scared that he would leave after he found out what I am really like.”

Seungri introduced Dara to a handsome and caring male celebrity?

Big Bang‘s comedic member, Seungri, revealed that he set 2NE1‘s Dara on a blind date.

On the upcoming episode, SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘ featured artists from YG Entertainment as their guests. During the show, Seungri revealed, “Dara is very popular among male celebrities.  For nuna, I introduced her to a handsome and caring male celebrity.”

However, Dara was quick to lament, “He never contacted me,” and blurted out the frustration she had kept bottled up.

Seungri, however responded, “What happened to the guy who came by your house?” and startled Dara with the unexpected remark.

On another note, many of the YG family members will be appearing on this day including Big Bang, 2NE1, Tablo, Psy, Gummy, and Sean. Catch the episode when it airs later!

Big Bang’s Seungri drops out of college due to busy schedule

Big Bang’s Seungri has decided to drop out of Chungang University.

On March 8th, YG Entertainment told TV Report during a phone call, “Seungri attended Chungang University up until last year and dropped out. He was unable to fully carry on his studies due to his busy schedules and was forced to the decision of dropping out”.

After being accepted into Chungang University with a major in Theater Arts, Seungri has had constant trouble completing his degree due to busy schedules in and out of Korea. Now that the ‘2012 Big Bang Alive Tour’ has begun, and with even more schedules lined up due to the group’s ever-increasing popularity, Seungri has been left no choice but to pull out.

Even After dropping out of Chungang University, Seungri, still determined to pursue his education, has decided to continue his studies by enrolling at Gukje Digital University. It seems that he has chosen this path as he could take classes online while he attends to his schedules.

In related news, Big Bang has come back with the mini-album ‘Alive‘ this past month, and is planning to have their first performance on SBS‘s ‘Inkigayo’ on March 11th.

Big Bang’s Seungri reveals that Daesung likes to walk around naked

On February 8th,  SBS‘ ‘Healing Camp‘ at YG Entertainment‘s offices.  In the show, Big Bang opens up about their past 2000 days together as the popular 5 member group, and even revealed hidden stories that have never been told.

In particular, Seungri revealed a secret about Daesung. He replied, “After Daesung’s body became really fit from working out, he liked to be naked..there was even a time when he passed airport immigration naked”. He surprised even the airport officials, and the details of the story will be revealed in the episode.

Another hidden story included how T.O.P made Taeyang really want an Olympic Gold medal.

Aside from stories, T.O.P, Seungri, and Taeyang showed off their cooking skills as they prepared a special meal for G-Dragon and Daesung, and a special surprise gift to the members will be revealed.

‘Healing Camp’ will air on February 20th at 11:15(KST).

Big Bang’s Seungri reveals a photo from the set of ‘Light and Shadow’

Big Bang‘s Seungri has revealed a photo from the set of the MBC drama, ‘Light and Shadow‘.

“I’m filming for my guest appearance on the drama, ‘Light and Shadow’. Sung Ji Roo sunbaenim felt like he hit my face too hard in the scene so he was apologetic!” said Seungri in his me2day post.

In the photo, Seungri is smiling at the camera while actor Sung Ji Roo pats Seungri’s cheeks with a fatherly smile.

The episode with Seungri’s guest appearance will air on the 26th. He will be playing the role of character Yeo Soo‘s boyfriend.
