Double K and Buga Kingz’s Juvie Train team up to create O.T.





Double K and Buga Kingz‘s Juvie Train have teamed up to create a new unit named O.T. (Original Taste).


Their debut digital single is slated for release on June 28th and is the composition of No Brain‘s Lee Sung Woo and J. Shin, with Juvie Train and Double K on the lyrics. Their title track “Monster” also includes a featuring by No Brain and is described to be a combination of rock sounds on hip hop beats.


No Brain readily accepted the offer to star in their music video, which is about a monster that attempts to bring out the potential in the modern man, to better protect themselves against the evils of modern society. Considering that Double K and Juvie Train have opposite rapping styles, fans are already looking forward to how the combination will work out alongside the vocals of No Brain’s main vocalist, Lee Sung Woo.

Big Bang performs “Monster” live on Music Japan








Although fans were disappointed to hear that Big Bang would not be promoting their latest track “Monster” on Korean television, the quintet has just performed the Japanese version live on ‘Music Japan‘!


From G-Dragon‘s razor-sharp bowl cut to Taeyang‘s broad shoulder armor that enhances his upper body frame, the five young men look larger than life and supernatural, which is quite fitting given the nature of the song.

Big Bang’s “Monster” is their fourth song to reach over 10 million views this year







On June 17th, Big Bang‘s music video for “Monster” reached over 10 million views on Youtube.


This is Big Bang’s fourth music video to reach over 10 million views on Youtube just this year alone. Previously, Big Bang’s “Blue“, “Fantastic Baby“, and “Bad Boy” have also all reached over 10 million views.


This is an even more impressive feat considering that they have not participated in any promotional activities for the album. Big Bang is currently in Japan for their worldwide tour ‘Alive Tour 2012′, by which they will subsequently move on to others parts of Asia and America.


Big Bang received positive attention from all over the world by appearing on many countries Itunes charts including the United States, England, France, Brazil and several Asian countries. In addition, Big Bang received several music awards both domestically and internationally.


In related news, Big Bang further proved their immense popularity by  attracting over 255,000 fans in Japan, for their world tour and selling 50,000 tickets in just 30 seconds in Indonesia.

Big Bang’s “Monster” sets a record on Chinese video-sharing site





Big Bang has once again proved that they are one of Asia’s most esteemed idol group.


Big Bang’s latest song, “Monster“, snatched the #1 spot on the weekly V-Chart in China’s largest music video site YinYueTai. Big Bang achieved this feat by amassing over 290 million views and receiving a perfect score for the music video.


A spokesperson for YinYueTai stated, “There are only two videos which amassed a score a perfect score of 100 in on V-Chart’s Korean section this year and the stars who have attained such glory are none other than Big Bang.


YinYueTai is China’s most popular music video website with over 3 million visitors everyday. YinYueYai’s V-Chart ranking is based on view count, downloads, and reviews based on visitors from Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, and western countries.


Big Bang’s music video for “Bad Boy” and “Monster” now hold a record on YinYueTai for attaining two perfect scores in 2012. “Monster” has captured the attention of many fans with its Blockbuster-like concept and the unusual haircuts sported by the members.


Additionally, “Monster” is also doing well both domestically and internationally, with over 7 million views on Youtube.


Meanwhile, Big Bang is currently in Japan for their arena tour which will attracted over 255,000 audience members and is set to release their special album “Alive – Monster Edition” on June 20th in celebration of their world tour.

Big Bang’s ‘Still Alive’ leads the charts in physical sales





Big Bang has proven themselves to be the strongest contender on the charts, setting them at a pedestal high above the rest of their peers.


According to album sales anaylst site Hanteo, Big Bang’s special album, ‘Still Alive‘, recorded 15,000 units in sales the first day of its release, putting it at a 13,000 unit difference with the team in second place.


As of June 6th, Big Bang recorded 7,300 units in sales on the live chart, putting them 7,000 units ahead of second place. With the market the way it is today, passing 10,000 units is exceptional in itself, especially since artists in the top spots are always changing day by day.


Big Bang is also proving strong on the digital charts, achieving ‘all kills’ just moments into its release. Currently, “Monster” has achieved over six million views and is still rapidly on the rise.


Although the album was made as a response to the support and love their fans have been sending them, the boys can’t promote it due to their commitments to their Japanese tour.

Big Bang’s “Monster” seizes the #1 slot on UK’s “Viral Video Chart”





Monster” from Big Bang‘s new special album is highly favored in Korea, and it’s showing it’s force overseas in the United Kingdom.


Big Bang’s “Monster” MV confidently seized the #1 spot on Britain’s Unruly Media online ‘Viral Video Chart‘ as of 8:30AM on June 5th.


Not only did “Monster” seize the #1 slot on the MV chart, it also drew major attention for coming in #1 on an all-inclusive video chart. Only a single day after being released, “Monster” had received over 650,000 shares (currently 849,127) on the site, and ranked on the top of the weekly chart.


The second place honor went to Coldplay‘s “Princess of China” featuring Rihanna, which received 440,000 shares (currently 744,359).


Unruly Media’s ‘Viral Video Chart’ is a site that introduces music videos, home videos, commercials, and more that go viral all over the world. The ranks are determined by number of facebook shares and blog posts each of the videos receive.


In related news, Big Bang’s “Monster” has currently received over 5.5 million views in just a few days of being released, and the song is maintaining it’s #1 status across the major Korean music sites.

Big Bang achieves an all-kill with “MONSTER” on real-time music charts!





Big Bang‘s latest track, “MONSTER” has kicked off with a bang!


On June 3rd, the song rose to number one on numerous real-time music charts including, Melon, Olleh, Soribada, M-Net, Bugs, Naver, Cyworld, and Dosirak. This adds another all-kill record to their list. In addition to “MONSTER”, other tracks from their ‘Still Alive‘ album, such as “Feeling” and “Bingle Bingle” have also managed to place themselves in the top ten.


“Still Alive” which was co-produced by Hyundai Card will be available to purchase from offline parties starting on June 6th. Meanwhile, Big Bang is continuing the Japanese leg of their world tour, they are expected to perform in front of 255,000 total audience members.

YG Entertainment to open Big Bang gate





YG Entertainment will open a Big Bang gate to promote the group’s upcoming album, ‘Still Alive – Special Edition‘, and title track, “Monster“.


The gate, located at the Shinboon Dangsun DX Line in Kangnam, Seoul, includes a 47 inch (119 cm) LCD screen that will play the “Monster” music video, the making-of video for Big Bang’s Extradinary 20′s photo shoot, and other clips. The Big Bang gate also displays accessories personally worn by the members during the shooting of the “Monster” MV. Fans will be able to listen to tracks from ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’ at the gate as well.


Those with NFC Leader enabled on their cellphones will be able to automatically load information about Big Bang through the official YG application when next to the gate.


“Monster” will be released at midnight on June 3 KST, while ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’ will hit stores on June 6 KST.


The Big Bang gate will officially open on Saturday, June 2 KST.

Big Bang will not be performing &#8220;Monster&#8221; in Korea





Idol group Big Bang will not be performing their soon-to-be-released special edition album in Korea.


Big Bang will be unveiling 5 new songs with their special edition album ‘Still Alive‘ on June 3rd, but fans will unfortunately be unable to see them perform these songs in Korea.


YG Entertainment informed OSEN on May 29th, “Big Bang will be releasing a new album on the third of next month, however, it has been decided that none of the songs will be performed on any of the Korean stages. Due to their World Tour, they have concerts in Japan until the 24th of next month, and it is a situation where we just cannot make any time.”


This new ‘Still Alive’ album is a way to thank the fans for their explosive response to their fifth mini-album,” they continued. “We are so grateful that the still cuts and teaser images for their title song “Monster” is receiving much interest and support.”


“Monster” is rumored to be a song that’s much more fierce and powerful than any other Big Bang song released to date. It has also been reported that the quality of the MV is on par with a Hollywood Blockbuster.


In related news, Big Bang is currently touring Japan, and will have traveled to 25 cities in 16 different countries by the time their World Tour comes to an end.

Big Bang releases Daesung and Seungri&#8217;s teasers for “Monster”









After releasing G-Dragon, T.O.P, and Taeyang‘s teaser images for the group’s upcoming title song “Monster”, Big Bang has provided fans a double whammy, revealing both Seungri and Daesung‘s solo images!


With all the five member teasers for the upcoming ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’ album having already been revealed, fans are getting treated to glimpses of the music video for the album’s title song with these new photos for “Monster”


In the newly released images, we’re treated to much more of the apocalyptic set than in previous teasers.  Daesung has added fur to his KTZ harness, worn during their last promotions.  He also has kept his now golden locks, much to the delight of fans.  Seungri meanwhile, long-tailed jacket, similar to T.O.P’s standing  in front of what looks like an exploding vehicle, remniscent of the group’s “Love Song” music video.


Both the album and “Monster” music video are due out on June 3rd KST.

In addition, with all the five member teasers for the upcoming ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’ album having already been revealed, fans are getting treated to glimpses of the music video for the album’s title song with these new photos for “Monster”


In the newly released image, we’re treated to the backside of Taeyang who looks out into the distance wearing a jacket strung with belts. Both the album and “Monster” music video are due out on June 3rd KST.

Big Bang has revealed a teaser image for the title song “Monster” of upcoming special edition album ‘Still Alive‘ .


We’ve been keeping you updated on the member teaser images for ‘Still Alive – Special Edition’, and now Big Bang has revealed the first glimpse of their music video for the album’s title song.


G-Dragon is looking charismatic with his reddish mohawk as he struts the street, leaving a trail of fire in his path. Both the album and “Monster” music video are due out on June 3 KST.
