Wooyoung impressed by Jo Kwon’s high heel performance

2PM‘s Wooyoung, who recently released his first solo album ‘23, Male, Single‘, spoke up regarding 2AM member Jo Kwon and his high heel performance of “Animal“.

The singer sat down with TV Report for a brief interview on July 6th to discuss his album, his transformation into a solo artist, and more. Wooyoung began by saying, “I was shocked when I first saw Jo Kwon’s high heel performance. I don’t think I’d be able to do that since I’m too scared.”

Jo Kwon made his solo debut with ‘I’m Da One‘ on June 25th and impressed many by wearing a staggering 19.5 cm pair of high heels for his performance of “Animal”.

He continued, “The high heel performance seemed very dangerous, but he was able to easily pull it off because he’s Jo Kwon. There’s a high possibility of twisting your ankle in the process, so I don’t think I’d be able to perform while wearing high heels.”

Wooyoung then shared the promise he made with the 2AM member saying, “Jo Kwon and I are very close friends, so we try not to discuss our albums. Whatever the results are, we agreed to just root for each other.”

Solo activities are burdensome, but I believe that if you do your best without any regrets, then everything is fine.

Wooyoung released his first solo album on the 8th and is scheduled to hold his stage performance on the July 12th broadcast of Mnet‘s ‘M!Countdown‘.

2AM’s Jo Kwon to wear 19.5 cm high heels on his comeback stage

2AM‘s Jo Kwon has revealed that he plans to wear 19.5 cm high heels on his first solo comeback stage!

The singer recently shared his determination to complete his entire stage choreography in the staggering heels for his “Animal” stage. Through OSEN, he expressed, “I decided on the heels after thinking of ways to show off something sexy yet powerful for my choreography concept. When I danced to miss A, I wore heels and found that it wasn’t that bad. The heels were made for women and imported from the States, but I think they fit me well.”

The shoes don’t actually have support under the heel part to give the effect of the wearer floating, so Jo Kwon will have to pay particular attention to his balance. Fortunately, he’s been practicing in them to look as natural as possible.

He continued, “I’m planning to show something completely out there and unique, something that only Jo Kwon can pull off. I know that people are looking forward to, but also concerned with what I’ll come up with. I’m sure that people will be wary of what I do come out with, but I’m greedy in wanting to convert them all to my side once I do. I’m excited, but also confident.”

2AM member and now soloist Jo Kwon has revealed a jacket photo off his first solo album, ‘I’m Da One‘!

On June 20th, the album photo above was revealed, surprising many for it contrasts drastically with the “dark Jo Kwon” concept for the pre-released track, “Animal“.

Jo Kwon also shows off his newly dyed hair in the “cereal box” inspired album photo that gives a pop-art feel, promising a fresh and bright concept to go with the album.

However for those who prefer the dark concept, there is no need to fear for it has been revealed that his album, dropping on the 25th, will be available in two versions, the pop-art style, ‘I’m Da One’, and the dark charisma style, ‘Animal’.
