‘K-Pop Star’ contestant Kim Na Yoon has officially signed with Starship Entertainment.

Starship Entertainment created a post on their Facebook page stating, “To everyone who loves Starship Entertainment, let us introduce our newest family member Kim Na Yoon. Kim Na Yoon has officially become a trainee. She is still a young and passionate individual so we believe it will take some time and effort before Na Yoon is able to stand on stage. Please cheer on for our new family member Kim Na Yoon!”

Kim Na Yoon gained a lot of popularity through her exceptional vocal and keyboard skills on ‘Survival Audition: K-Pop Star’ which got her to the top nine spot.

‘K-Pop Star’ contestant Kim Na Yoon in discussion to possibly debut as an idol group member

Former SBS ‘K-Pop Star‘ contestant Kim Na Yoon has been revealed to be considering a debut as an idol group member.

An entertainment insider confirmed the speculation, saying, “Apart from the Big 3 entertainment companies (SM, JYP, YG), Kim Na Yoon has been contacted by three separate entertainment companies, and has already finished meeting with one of them.”

“Companies are looking for idol groups members more than solo artists,” the source revealed. “Therefore, it is more likely that she will be debuting as part of a group rather than as a standalone singer.”

Kim Na Yoon, who made it to the Top 10 of the audition program ‘K-Pop Star’, was unfortunately eliminated after singing a cover of Adele‘s ‘Set Fire to the Rain‘. Apart from Kim Na Yoon, various other contestants have confirmed their entry into the musical world.

‘K-POP Star’ contestants Baek Ah Yeon and Kim Na Yoon pose for ‘ELLE Girl’ magazine

Baek Ah Yeon and Kim Na Yoon from mega-hit audition program ‘K-Pop Star‘ recently showed off a new look.

The girls participated in a photo shoot for fashion magazine ‘ELLE Girl’, where they drew praise from the staff on set for their professional-like modeling talents.

For this particular shoot, the girls sported one-pieces dresses with vivid spring colors and bold prints that brought out their glowing, doll-like faces which seemed to have further blossomed through their participation in ‘K-POP Star’.

After the photoshoot, the girls sat down for an interview in which Kim Na Yoon stated, “Even after I was eliminated, I made sure to run home by six o’clock to watch the live show every Sunday. I was the happiest when I made it into the top 10 and was able to live at the dorm. That day, everyone was excited and happy, and we became completely comfortable. That night was the first time I ate pigs’ feet.”

In addition, Baek Ah Yeon, nicknamed ‘Strong Iron Heart‘, stated, “I really like the nickname that judge J.Y. Park gave me. After hearing that, I became more confident.” She also talked about finalists Park Ji Min and Lee Ha Yi, saying, “Those girls were really overflowing with energy. When we would come back to the dorm, I tried to sleep right away because I was exhausted, but Ha Yi and Ji Min would keep waking me up and asking to play.”

Kim Na Yoon talks about the criticism she received during ‘K-Pop Star’

 

Season one ‘K-Pop Star‘ finalist Kim Na Yoon held back her tears as she opened up about the criticisms she received during the audition program.

Kim Na Yoon briefly appeared as a guest on the May 15th episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart‘ along with a few other Top 10 finalists.

She began her talk by revealing her trials as a ‘K-Pop Star’ finalist stating, “My singing ability didn’t improve while appearing on ‘K-Pop Star’. Netizens began leaving hate-filled comments such as, ‘Why do you still appear on TV when you can’t even sing’, ‘Get lost’, and more. It was so hard to endure that I began to suffer from depression.”

“I was also criticized for being a crybaby,” she added. “Back then, I cried because I was just having such a hard time, but I know now that what I did was wrong.”

Other guests on this episode included Noh Sa Yeon, Lee Sung Mi, Yang Dong Geun, Dynamic Duo, Park Ji Min, Lee Ha Yi, Baek Ah Yeon, Lee Seung Hoon, Lee Michelle, Kim Hyo Jin, and more.

‘K-Pop Star’ contestants to guest on ‘Strong Heart’

It has been revealed that the Top 3 finalists of ‘K-Pop Star‘ had participated in a recent recording of SBS‘s ‘Strong Heart‘.

According to PD Park Sang Hyuk of ‘Strong Heart’, the recording had taken place on May 3rd with guests Park Ji Min, Lee Ha Yi, and Baek Ah Yeon. The other Top 10 contestants Lee Seung Hoon, Lee Michelle, and Kim Na Yoon also made special appearances during the recording.

“In particular, Lee Seung Hoon who had previously sung Dynamic Duo‘s ‘Father‘ met with the two artists themselves during the recording and spent a memorable time together,” the PD added.

Six Fingered pianist Kim Tae Hoo amazes everyone on Star King

 

On the April 21st broadcast of SBS’s Star King, six-fingered pianist Kim Tae Hoo moved everyone with his amazing performance.

Ever since he was born, he was bothered by his left hand, however he stated, “I have confidence in playing piano.” Kim Tae Hoo has been playing the piano for 6 years now.

On the show, he played “Suite Espanola” flawlessly, which is a very hard and fast paced song. The guests on the show responded in awe saying, “How is this possible” and “Oh my goodness“.

Following up, Kim Tae Hoo played Yiruma‘s famous “River Flows In You“, with such beauty that it moved Kim Na Yoon and Yoo Hyun Sang to tears.

Also Kim Tae Hoo and elbow pianist Choi Hye Yeon performed “You Were Born To Be Loved” together, again moving everyone with their beautiful performance.
