Former Chocolate member drops out of ‘Global Super Idol’

Lee Hyun Ah, a former member of defunct idol group Chocolate (not to be confused with active group Chocolat), previously received attention by discussing the reason behind Chocolate’s disbandment on ’Global Super Idol 3‘.

She has now dropped out of the competitive reality program. Her sudden departure from the show has left many curious about the reason behind her decision.

On May 31, ‘Global Super Idol 3′ finished individual auditions in South Korea and was in the process of creating teams for the final preliminary round. It was then that the audience started asking questions about Lee Hyun Ah’s absence.

The former girl group member was not seen on the first day of team mission audition day, and it was later found out that she had contacted the production team about leaving.

Lee Hyun Ah stated on a previous episode of the show, “Because of an incident that should have never occurred in the entertainment industry, and because it was something that a woman could feel a sense of shame about, I had to give up my dreams,” referring to the sexual favor rumors involving the CEO and trainees of her former agency. Although she and her members were not the ones involved, the group was swept up in the controversy, eventually leading to its disbandment.
