‘Birth of a Great Star‘ contestant Eric Nam took some time to clarify the recent news about him turning down an audition invitation offer from JYP Entertainment.
As mentioned previously, Eric had been contacted by JYP Entertainment, who had asked him to come audition at the New York auditions after seeing his YouTube videos. However, with school exams in the way, Eric had declined the invitation.
However, some misunderstood his statements thinking that he had refused the audition invitation from JYPE because he had something against the agency. Thus, Eric decided to clear up the misunderstanding through his me2day. On June 20th, Eric posted, “Hello. I think there were some misunderstandings regarding the ‘JYP rejection’ article. I was offered to attend the audition before ‘Birth of a Great Star 2′, but unfortunately because of conflicts with school, I wasn’t able to attend. To clarify, it wasn’t a ‘rejection’, it was more like ‘giving up’.”
He also added, “At the time it was very unfortunate, but I was able to meet everyone through ‘Birth of a Great Star 2′, so say ‘NO’ to misunderstandings! I love JYP ^^.”
