Paris Hilton to star in singer Kim’s music video

Paris Hilton will appear in Korean singer Kim Jang-hoon’s upcoming music video.

Kim’s agency announced that the infamous Hollywood socialite will appear on the music video of the title song of Kim’s 10th album, which will be released on Oct. 4.

“Kim was considering other Hollywood stars such as Jessica Alba and Scarlett Johansson along with Hilton, but decided to cast Hilton when the polls in Korea showed that Hilton was the most widely recognized Hollywood celebrity among Koreans,” said the agency.

The music video will be filmed on Malibu beaches and in downtown L.A. on Aug. 23-25, and will be made into both 2-D and 3-D versions.

The agency said around 15 billion won ($13.3 million) will be spent on producing and marketing the video. “A talented production team in Hollywood will work as staff for the video,” Kim’s agency in the U.S. said. “I believe we will produce the best music video in Korean history.”

The singer left for the U.S. on Wednesday to film his latest music video. On Aug. 26, he will visit New York to check on the preparation for his upcoming concert in November.

Dalmatian makes a surprise visit to an all-female high school

The boys of Dalmatian recently made a surprise appearance at an all-female high school in Suncheon on June 20th.

The reason for their unexpected appearance was for one particular first year student at the high school, who left a post on Dalmatian’s official fan cafe expressing her desire to meet the boys in person. Dalmatian happened to come across the post and decided to grant her wish with a surprise event.

Once at the high school, the boys remarked, “We heard there was a fan who wanted to meet us, so we have come just for her. We’re very happy to be able to meet her like this. Please continue to support us.”

Dalmatian interacted with the students in the classroom for about an hour, taking photos, shaking hands, and more. In addition, the members personally handed out snacks and signed CDs they prepared as gifts.

A representative of their agency stated, “We are planning to continuously hold these sorts of surprise events, so we hope fans throughout the country look forward to it.

In related news, Dalmatian is currently actively promoting their latest title song “E.R” from their 2nd mini-album ‘State of Emergency‘.

Dalmatian reveals how they made their beastly transformation

Well into their promotions for their State of Emergency‘ comeback, Dalmatian sat down with Ilgan Sports for a heartfelt interview on the changes they’ve undergone during their hiatus.

Check it out below!

-

Q. “A new member joined.”

Jisoo: “Rapper Simon joined. He was born in America, but his nationality is Japanese. His father is Korean, and his mother is Japanese.”

Q. “How has your image changed?”

Simon: “We prepared our album with an air of desperation thinking that this could be our last album ever. Out of our desperation, we found an image that fit us well. Since we’ve done the cute concept to death, we wanted to show something stronger this time.”

Q. “Looks like everyone got more muscular.”

Inati: “We all worked out to shed our young sheep image and transform into beasts. All of us gained about 11 pounds (5 kg) in muscle mass. Jisoo used to weigh 123 pounds (56 kg), but now he’s up to 141 pounds (64 kg) by just developing muscles alone. Daniel’s muscle to fat ratio is on par with that of an athlete’s.”

Q. “How have you changed musically?”

Youngwon: “We used to sing light and bright songs, but our recent album is full of darker, heavier songs.”

Q. “Can you introduce your title track?”

Daniel: “Our album’s title track is ‘E.R.‘ We compared the urgent feeling of watching one’s lover leave you to the state of an emergency room. I think it fits our team’s situation well. We also switched up the choreography with new things several times.”

Q. “Review your last album with an unbiased approach.”

Jisoo: “Ranking in at 11th on a music program was like poison to us. It made us feel more comfortable, but also more lax with our performances. The public proved to be cold, as we dropped in ranking the next week and concluded our promotions hastily.”

Q. “It’s the battle of the idols lately.”

Inati: “We’re not scared (laughter). There are a lot of popular teams, but I’m actually glad about that. I’d love to go up against others in a true competition battle because it’d be a greater meaning of success if we survived it.”

I was there when they were working on their album and listened to a few songs, but I think all of their songs are worthy of being title songs. It makes me want to become a dance singer! Dalmatian drops 2nd image teaser for “E.R.” comeback

Gearing up for their second mini-album comeback with ‘State of Emergency‘, Dalmatian has dropped another sizzling image teaser for their title track, “E.R.”!

Earlier this week, the boys released their first music video teaser for “E.R.”, which has amassed over 50,000 views in a short period. Their powerful, charismatic transformation has been welcomed by not only Korean, but international fans as well.

As it is their first comeback in a year and three months, fans are excited to see just how much the boys have improved, especially since their last promotions for “That Man Opposed” were of a brighter, cuter style.
