Starring Kim Hee Sun and Lee Min Ho, the drama which tells of a love story which transcends time and space between a Goryeo Dynasty warrior and a present era female doctor, ‘Faith’ is set to premiere through SBS on August 13th.

The drama is helmed by the dream pairing of director Kim Jong Hak and screenwriter Song Ji Na. Both of them have spent nearly 5 years on this production and have 20 years of experience of working together on drama blockbuster hits such as ‘Eyes of Dawn’, ‘The Story of the First King’s Four Gods behind them. Adding to this is famed director Seo Deok Won and stunt director Yang Ji Young whose previous works include ‘City Hunter’ and ‘Damo’. With such a strong backcourt, viewers will be expecting to see a classic in the making.

‘Faith’ will be Lee Min Ho’s first-ever period drama and also marks Kim Hee Sun’s return to the small screen after a 6 year hiatus. With Lee Min Ho well versed in horseback riding and fighting, while Kim Hee Sun specializes in healing, their fresh pairing is likely to be a highlight of the drama. From the stills released so far, Lee Min Ho is looking very much like an imposing Goryeo warrior.
◆Story revolves a year after King Gongmin ascends the throne and the dilemma of submitting to the Mongols of the Yuan Dynasty
Choi Young, King Gongmin and Princess Noguk were actual figures in history and will share the stage with the present era doctor played by Kim Hee Sun. The story of the King’s dilemma during a turbulent period in Goryeo and the love story between a warrior and a present era doctor will be the highlights of the drama. The sad love story between King Gongmin (Ryu Duk Hwan) and Princess Noguk (Park Se Young) and the strongest warrior in Goryeo, Uhm Ki Baek (Lee Philip) are also worth looking out for.
Lee Min Ho revealed, “As the drama progresses, there will be ups and downs in the love story between Choi Young and Eun Soo. Their relationship and love story are really interesting. The drama will be airing real soon and we hope that lots of viewers will tune in to watch.”
