MBLAQ’s G.O. revealed his chest hair to beat Lee Joon in search rankings?

MBLAQ‘s G.O. revealed the hilarious story behind the exposing of his chest hair on tv.

On September 7th broadcast of SBS‘ ‘Go Show‘, G.O. was asked about the phrase ‘ripped his clothes to beat Lee Joon‘ that would pop up as a related search term under his name.

G.O. revealed, “I was sensitive about search ranking. Even though we are members of the same group, the search ranking was different for each member. I was always in the lower ranks. When we were promoting ‘Y‘, Lee Joon exposed his skin so much that our representative always went to apologize to the PD. However, I was envious of Lee Joon for he always remained in the top 10 search terms because of that.”

He continued, “So I decided to try it out myself. But I have chest hair. If I undo one button then it doesn’t show, but if I unbutton two, it shows. I even practiced it. Undoing up to one button was sexy. After that, I ripped open my shirt on stage, but I accidentally put in too much force so I ended up undoing two buttons [instead of one].”

“My chest hair is like Brad Pitt’s. So from that moment on, I thought ‘Whatever’ and just went on with it. After the broadcast, I went online using my phone and found that I was ranked number one on search rankings. It was even during soccer season, but soccer was ranked number two and I was ranked number one. I liked being number one, but then I read articles about me and saw comments like ‘Dirty’ and ‘What is he doing,’” he concluded as the studio was brought to laughter with the singer’s frank confession.

He then added, “I realized after that, that even if I’m an issue, it’s better to be a good sort of issue,” to the amusement of the audience and the other guests.

MBLAQ’s G.O. talks about his acting experience in ‘Phantom’

MBLAQ‘s G.O. made a confession about his acting in the hit drama series ‘Phantom‘.

G.O. guest-featured on the September 7th broadcast of SBS TV ‘GO Show‘ along with trot kings Song Dae Kwan & Tae Jin Ah, CNBLUE‘s Lee Jonghyun, and ‘Respond 1997‘ couple Seo In Guk & A Pink‘s Eunji.

It was here that MC Go Hyun Jung admitted she thought there would be a twist in the ‘Phantom’ drama because of G.O.’s ambiguous facial expressions.

Hearing this, G.O. confessed that often times when he received the script, he didn’t understand a lot of the terminology such as ‘steganography‘, which made it difficult for him to understand the scenario as a whole, and in turn, difficult to display the appropriate emotions.

G.O. also remarked that veteran actor So Ji Sub shared an acting secret with him, discouraging G.O. from wearing short-sleeve t-shirts because bare skin doesn’t look too attractive on camera.

A Pink’s Eunji makes CNBLUE’s Jonghyun cry?

CNBLUE‘s Jonghyun shed tears on the September 7th airing of SBS‘s ‘Go Show‘ because of A Pink‘s Eunji.

This week’s episode of the show took on the format of a movie audition and featured the theme ‘You Have to Stand Out to Live’. This episode featured guests Seo In Guk, Jonghyun, MBLAQ‘s G.O, and trot legends Song Dae Gwan and Tae Jin Ah.

One segment of the show featured a staring contest among the guests.

Jonghyun stated, “I’m confident in staring contests. I can win if I have the tenacity“. He then continued, “Don’t try this at home, kids” and easily beat G.O. and Seo In Guk, continuing into the final match with Eunji.

Eunji didn’t give up easily, unblinking, while Jonghyun stared back with tears wildly running his cheeks. His tears surprised everyone on the set of the show, but Eunji eventually blinked first. Jonghyun, still teary-eyed, made everyone laugh when he repeated to himself, “I can win if I have the tenacity“.

The MC’s commented jokingly, “We can make a video out of this. We’ll make it a love triangle between Seo In Guk, Eunji, and Jonghyun“.

MBLAQ members’ fitness to be revealed on ‘Idol Manager’

Seungho has been revealed to have the most stomach fat among the MBLAQ members.

On the September 7th broadcast of MBC Every1‘s ‘Idol Manager‘, the MBLAQ members will bare their abs. The group is taking part in a fitness test for the special episode, which will celebrate MBLAQ’s 3rd year anniversary.

Seungho was voted as the member with the most stomach fat. Trainer Kim Ji Hoon commented, “When considering 100 as the standard, if you continue to stay at 87%, you can end up with heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes,” to which Seungho responded, “My heart hurts when I sleep.”

G.O was also revealed to be the member with the most muscle after going head-to-head with Lee Joon. The trainer stated, “Naturally fit people usually don’t exercise. Take this chance to really go for it.”

‘Idol Manager’ will air on the 7th at 6PM KST.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon spars with former national boxing athlete on ‘Idol Manager’

MBLAQ‘s Lee Joon held a sparring match with a former national Korean boxing athlete.

During the recent filming of MBC‘s ‘Idol Manager‘, the MBLAQ members each participated in sparring matches with a challenger of their choice.

MBLAQ discussed holding an event for their fans in celebration of the group’s 3-year anniversary on October 15, and MC Park Kyung Lim suggested revealing their abs. The MBLAQ members then went to do some circuit and sparring training to build their abs.

The sparring matches were held in a format where the members got to pick their opponents by saying, “You, come out.” Mir picked Seungho, while Thunder chose G.O. However, Lee Joon surprised everyone by fearlessly picking their boxing trainer, a former national boxing athlete, Kim Ji Hoon.

After hearing that his opponent is a former national athlete, Lee Joon replied, “I’m also the national representative of dance.”

The comical sparring match between the trainer and Lee Joon will be revealed on this week’s episode of ‘Idol Manager’, airing on September 7 at 6PM KST.

G.O chosen as the wealthiest out of MBLAQ members

The MBLAQ members revealed where each of the members stand in terms of wealth.

On August 24th while recording for MBC Music‘s hybrid chart show ‘All The K-pop‘, the MBLAQ members were featured as guests as they had a segment where they ranked each member in terms of their personal wealth.

It was already widely known that Mir was famous for the large amount of land and real estate owned by his family. However through this show, G.O revealed that his father is a man of considerable wealth and was an owner of a big golf course. In addition to his golf course business, his father had also opened up various leisure businesses such as an arcade, and ski resort but weren’t as successful.

G.O then commented, “Right now, my father has built a house on that land,” and Mir added, “When we visited his house, it was a place with 20 rooms which shocked us.”

And when the emcees asked if it wasn’t a hotel, G.O firmly stated, “No,” and claimed that it was his own house. In the end, G.O placed first out of the MBLAQ members in having the most personal wealth.

MBLAQ’s G.O. to return to ‘Immortal Song 2′

After nearly a year since leaving ‘Immortal Song 2‘, MBLAQ‘s G.O. has decided to return to the music program as a permanent member.

On August 20th, a representative of KBS informed Star News, “G.O. will be returning to ‘Immortal Song 2′. As this is his return to the program after quite a while, we look forward to his more matured stage performance.”

“The singer will be participating in his first recording on the 20th and will replace Ulala Session, who will be making their final performance for the program on the same day.”

G.O. had previously joined ‘Immortal Song 2′ in June of last year, but unfortunately exited the program on September 10th. He later made a special guest appearance on the ‘Immortal Song 2 - Song Chang Shik Special‘ in February 2012.

In addition to G.O., 4men‘s Shin Yong Jae will also be performing for the first time after temporarily leaving the program on February 25th.

MBLAQ’s G.O. and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon spend quality time together

It seems MBLAQ‘s G.O. and Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon recently spent some one-on-one time together while reminiscing the past.

G.O. tweeted on August 12th, “For the first time in a long while with Taengoo ~ We shared stories about this and that starting with the stories from eight years ago.. It was fun!!”

Along with his message, the MBLAQ member attached a photo of himself and the Girls’ Generation leader holding up peace signs as they stood side by side. The two idols are said to have known one another before their respective debuts having entered the same singing competitions.

G.O. had even once revealed that he had dropped out of school to completely focus on singing after an individual two years his junior had beat him at a singing competition. This individual turned out to be none other than Taeyeon.

Fans responded, “I didn’t know they kept in touch!”, “They look so close together”, and “Supporting G.O. and Taeyeon!”

MBLAQ’s G.O. dropped out of high school because of Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon?

A past episode of MBLAQ‘s ‘Sesame Player‘ has been receiving a lot of attention once again online for G.O.‘s story of dropping out of high school because of Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon.

Recently, a netizen on an online community board shared screencaps of G.O. on their Mnet show, ‘Sesame Player’, under the title, “G.O. who dropped out of high school because of Taeyeon.”

At the time of the broadcast, G.O. had revealed, “I won second place at a nationwide singing competition and was shocked to find out that I had lost first place to someone two years younger than me.” The person who had beat him out was none other than Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon.

He continued, “I realized that I had to do more and completely immerse myself in this and begged my parents to let me drop out of school so I could prepare to become a singer. I took my GED later and was fortunately able to get into college.”

MBLAQ’s G.O. and Mir reveal teaser photo for “Wild”

MBLAQ‘s Mir and G.O. have released their teaser image for their sub unit!

As reported earlier, the two members announced their plans to promote together as a sub unit ahead of their first Asia tour, and ahead of the release of their digital single “Wild“, the teaser photo has been revealed.

Scheduled to be released on music sites on the 27th, “Wild” is a hip hop track with a funky groove and an addicting melody line. As G.O. and Mir personally participated in the writing of the lyrics, G.O. stated, “We wanted to emphasize the sexyness of the overflowing confidence of men.”

“Wild” will be performed live for the first time on MBLAQ’s ‘The MBLAQ Tour’, which will kick off at Jakarta, Indonesia on the 30th.

MBLAQ’s G.O. and Mir to release duet track for their ‘The BLAQ% Tour’

Earlier this month, J. Tune Entertainment revealed that MBLAQ‘s G.O. and Mir would be making a unit debut. Representatives have returned today with more details on their duet track!

Their duet track will be a part of their upcoming ‘THE BLAQ% TOUR‘ titled ‘Part 1. G.O. & Mir Wild‘ and will be an energy-filled performance that is characteristic of MBLAQ’s style.

Representatives explained that this duet track is not an official unit activity of MBLAQ’s, but just one of many ‘duet parts’ to come.

J. Tune Camp explained, “This digital duet track will be the start of a limited digital release for ‘The BLAQ% Tour’. We’re simply revealing a scene of the tour to our fans ahead of the actual performance. We ask that you give us your interest for part two and guess which members will be up next.”

G.O. and Mir’s first ever duet stage will be held at the Jakarta stop of ‘The BLAQ% Tour’ on June 30th.

Fans of MBLAQ’s G.O. treat ‘Phantom’ staff members to a buffet meal

The staff and cast members of SBS ‘Phantom‘ enjoyed a mobile buffet, thanks to the fans of MBLAQ member G.O..

According to his agency, G.O.’s fans had visited the film set of ‘Phantom’ and brought with them 100 servings of food and snacks for the hardworking staff members.

The staff and cast members who were exhausted from a long day of filming reportedly could not hide their joy as they set their eyes on the meal G.O.’s fans had prepared for them.

G.O. himself was also extremely touched by his fans’ thoughtfulness, and was able to push through the rest of the shoot.

A representative from G.O.’s agency remarked, “Everyone on set was able to find their second wind, thanks to G.O.’s fans and their gift. The senior actors, actresses, and the staff alike all thanked G.O. afterwards, helping G.O. feel further grateful towards his fans.”

In related news, G.O. plays the role of Lee Tae Kyun, a former cyber security program developer of a gaming industry who became a special investigator after his talents were recognized.

Despite trying his hand at acting for the very first time, G.O. displayed a natural and stable acting talent, conveying the right emotions in any given scene.

He has been acknowledged as a new ‘acting idol’, garnering the interest of industry insiders.

[e]MBLAQ’s G.O. talks about his acting debut in ‘Phantom’

MBLAQ‘s G.O. has shared his feelings on making his acting debut as a fixed cast member through SBS‘s new drama, ‘Phantom‘.

G.O. is currently starring in the drama as a gamer turned cyber security officer named ‘Lee Tae Gyun’. His character previously worked in the gaming industry for the development of hack shields before getting his skills recognized enough to join the cyber investigation team.

Funnily enough, he’s never once harmed a bug in his life, let alone hit another person, so the cases he takes on leaves him stunned and surprised. Fortunately, he has a passionate drive and an innocent albeit naive personality that makes him an endearing character.

G.O. expressed, “It was definitely not an easy try but every moment is fun and I’m feeling the charm of the career. It feels like I’m on a fun vacation since I’m developing relationships with the cast on set and visiting places I’ve never been before.”

He went on to reveal that senior actors Kwon Hae Hyo and Im Ji Kyu were giving him a lot of support. “One time, we were filming into the early morning when So Ji Sub senior came up to me and lightly hit my shoulder while asking if I was fatigued. That question really made me feel closer to him and made me choke up.”

He continued, “Director Kim Hyung Shik is really detailed in his directing so I learn a lot from him. I’m not good because it’s my first time but I trust that my acting will gain quality once I follow his lead.”

The director added, “Even at times when G.O. doesn’t have scenes to film, he’s always waiting for hours on end to watch the other actors and learn from them. Once, he even stayed until the early morning. I recognize that he’s a big star in the music industry so I was surprised to see how dilligent he worked.”

MBLAQ’s G.O poses with ‘Ghost’ co-star So Ji Sub

Earlier today, MBLAQ member G.O revealed a photo with actor So Ji Sub, a fellow co-star from their current SBS drama, ‘Ghost‘.

‘Ghost’, which premiered last week on May 30th, follows the story of Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji Sub), a top-ranked detective who investigates secrets and mysteries in the cyber world. G.O plays Lee Tae Kyun in this thriller crime drama.

The singer posted the above photo on his Twitter account, featuring G.O in a beige blazer with So Ji Sob, both posing with thumbs-up signs.

He also left a peppy message, openly admiring So Ji Sub’s handsome looks and telling fans to look forward to the next episode of ‘Ghost’.

In response, netizens have commented, “So Ji Sub’s face is so small,” and, “They’re both so attractive.”

Netizens select Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon voted as most ideal vocal coach

Girls’ Generation leader Taeyeon has been voted as the #1 idol who could potentially be a good vocal coach.

Following the ‘healing idol’ poll that had previously taken place, music portal site Monkey3 conducted yet another online survey asking users, “Which idol do you think will be a good vocal coach?”

The online poll took place between May 10th to 16th. Taeyeon, who is well-known for her talented vocals, topped the list with 43% of the votes. The singer is the lead vocalist for Girls’ Generation and is also currently active in the new unit group, TaeTiSeo.

Under the poll, participants left comments such as, “Not only does Taeyeon have a special tone of voice, her outstanding singing ability and her ability to express her emotions when singing is amazing“, and “She has the basic skills so I think she would be a great teacher.”

Trailing behind Taeyeon were SISTAR‘s Hyorin (13%) at the #2 spot, and 2AM‘s Changmin (12%) coming in at 3rd. Others included Big Bang‘s Taeyang, 2NE1‘s Park Bom, and MBLAQ‘s G.O..

With the release of Dalmatian‘s new mini-album ‘State Of Emergency‘, seniors in the music industry have stepped forward with messages and retweets of support for the group’s comeback.

MBLAQ’s G.O and Seungho tweets from L.A

MBLAQ‘s G.O has recently shared his group’s whereabouts to fans on Twitter.

On April 29th, G.O tweeted, “On the way back to our hotel, we stopped by at a pasta restaurant.  Me: You want to pay?  Seungho: Hold on“.

MBLAQ recently traveled to Los Angeles, California to attend the ‘10th Korean Music Festival‘ that was held on the 28th at the Hollywood Bowl.  It looks like the two stopped by to get a taste of the local cuisine.

MBLAQ’s Lee Joon has become famous recently, for being very frugal when it comes to money.  It appears that other members think alike.  Neither Seungho nor G.O look willing to reveal their wallets.

In related news, MBLAQ is slated to hold their first solo concert tour, ‘THE BLAQ% TOUR‘ beginning in Indonesia on June 30th.

G.O. tweeted the above photo on April 26th and wrote, “Suddenly gathered right after a performance.”

Suzy is standing to G.O.’s left as she puffs up her cheeks, holding a cute pose, while on G.O.’s right stands Min with a wide smile on her face. Lucky G.O. stands in the envied center position as Mir seems to be content to “photobomb” in the background..

MBLAQ’s G.O to postpone sub-unit activities due to new drama

According to reports, MBLAQ‘s G.O has decided to postpone his sub-unit activities and debut his acting career.

Recently, the idol was cast for SBS‘s upcoming drama, ‘Phantom‘ and as a result, he has decided to postpone his scheduled sub-unit activity with label mate, Mir.

According to his label company, J.Tune Camp, “We tried to make the sub-unit activities our priority as we even finished the recording for the title track.  However, we decided choose the drama as it would provide a good opportunity to showcase MBLAQ’s potential and abilities.”

As for the sub-unit, J.Tune assured, “As much as our fans have been anticipating, we plan to increase the quality and present it as a gift to our fans in the future.”

G.O, who will be starring in his first fixed role through ‘Phantom’, will be playing the role of Lee Tae Kyun, who is a cyber investigator.  He will be acting alongside actor So Ji Sub and actress Lee Yeon Hee.
