Jaekyung and Jisook celebrate Rainbow’s 1000th day since debut

Rainbow has celebrated their 1,000th day since debut!

On August 10th, leader Jaekyung shared a scan of a handwritten letter for her fans in celebration of the special milestone. Along with the picture, she wrote on her me2day, “Jaekyung’s letter for you all, yesterday was Rainbow’s 1,000th day since debut~!”

Fellow member Jisook added her own selca and tweeted, “Totally into the nail art set sent to us for our 1,000th day anniversary!”

Jisook attached a proof shot of her new, which were painted in colors especially sent to her by her fans. Netizens celebrated along with the girls, and commented, “Jaekyung! Her handwriting is as pretty as her heart,” “Already the 1,000th day for Rainbow? Congratulations,” and “Perfect present for Jisook who likes nail art.”

Rainbow’s Jaekyung shows off her ‘doll-like beauty’ with a selca in bed

Rainbow‘s leader Jaekyung showed off her beauty with a ‘selca in bed’.

On the 17th, Jaekyung posted on her me2day, “I too…. wanted to take a selca in bed” and revealed the above picture.

The shared picture shows Jaekyung looking up at the camera while lying in bed with her long wavy hair spread out around her. She shows off her doll-like beauty with her high nose, big eyes, and sharp chin line.

After seeing the picture, the netizens praised Jaekyung’s beauty by commenting, “A beauty that would appear in a cartoon“, “Owner of  a innocent princess beauty“, and “It looks like a doll is lying down.”

Who are the top 3 idols with amazing drawing skills?

Recently, an online community post, titled ‘The three idols who are also artists‘, has been drawing a lot of interest as pictures of three talented idols and their impressive drawings were posted.

The three selected by netizens to be the best artists among all idols were Rainbow‘s Jaekyung, Girl’s Day‘s Yura, and A Pink‘s Na-Eun. These three young ladies are particularly known to have discovered their natural ability to draw via art and design classes that they have taken within their respective schools.

Jaekyung’s drawing of a tiger especially impressed netizens due to its realistic and detailed look. As her particular artistic skill has amazed and captured the attention of the general public, she has been chosen as the best idol-artist.

Rainbow’s Jaekyung to make acting debut in upcoming drama

 

Rainbow‘s Jaekyung will transform into an actress for upcoming JTBC‘s drama, ‘Monster‘.

With the first episode set to air on March 31st, Jaekyung will play the main character of Nah Yoomi along with other actors such as Ahn Yong Joon and Ji Il Joo.

Jaekyung commented, “It’s my first try at a real drama so I’m nervous and making many mistakes. However, I’m learning a lot from my co-actors. I hope you guys will give support for ‘Monster’ and my acting debut.”

An associate of JTBC shared, “Jaekyung is sexy on stage but funny and lovable on variety shows. She was perfect for the role of Nah Yoomi. At the filming, she’s the maker of a happy atmosphere and is actively participating in the shooting of the drama.”

Rainbow’s Jaekyung turns into a tomboy

Girl group Rainbow‘s leader Jaekyung will show off her tomboyish side for an upcoming pictorial.

For the December issue of ‘InStyle‘ Jaekyung took part in a photoshoot titled ‘The Check Player’.  She sported a short haircut for the very first time in her entertainment career.

As a fashion design major, in addition to modeling, she took part in styling the outfits for this shoot.  She showed off her keen fashion sense by adding the beret to compliment the checkered jacket in the above photo.  In this and the photos below, her short haircut goes well with the fashionable winter wear.

Rainbow will release the group’s second Japanese single “Mach” in December.

Rainbow’s Jaekyung reveals her step by step process of making an iPad case

On November 3rd, Rainbow member Jaekyung showed off her creativity by creating her very own iPad case.

With a collection of pictures and added commentary, she showed the step by step process in making her one and only silver, ‘Jaekyung’ iPad case.

She began by revealing the photo above with the words, “Designer Kim’s project :-) This time I made an iPad case!! hah First, preparation materials: good music, an all-around sewing machine,  fabrics I like, and subsidiary materials! hah.”

She then went on to measure the size of her iPad, draw lines, cut the fabric, and then finally, sew the pieces together. Jaekyung also added a  little pouch, strap, zipper, and her name in various colors to give the case a flavor of her own.

In the final pictures Jaekyung wrote, “Voila!! hah How is it~? My own case that I totally love!!… When you open the zipper……………………… the iPad goes right in!! haha Isn’t it pretty?!”.

Rainbow’s Jaekyung feels sleepy whenever she reads

Rainbow‘s Jaekyung revealed a comical photo of herself.

On October 20th, the group leader uploaded multiple photos of herself and commented through Twitter, “Why do I automatically get tired once I open a book? I feel sleepy,” and “That’s it, whatever!”

In the revealed photos, Jaekyung is studying on a couch, but soon falls asleep hilariously. The singer is currently majoring in fashion design at Dongduk Women’s University.

Netizens who could relate to her laziness and procrastination paid lots of attention and commented, “True procrastination“, “Jaekyung, you must study, don’t fall asleep“, “I can only notice her long legs, not her exhaustion“.

Rainbow’s Jaekyung models an outfit designed by her professor

Rainbow‘s Jaekyung is quite the popular student with her university professors, as she recently revealed a new sel-ca of herself wearing a piece which was specially designed by her professor.

On October 25th, Jaekyung wrote on her Twitter, “This clothing was designed by fashion design professor Hong Hye Jin of Dongduk Women’s University! Professor is the best!”

Dressed in a black/gray fur jacket, Jaekyung proves herself to be the perfect model with her slender body and tall height. Jaekyung is currently studying fashion design at the same university.

Fans commented, “It looks warm,” “You must be popular with your professors,” “Student Jaekyung is so loved,” and “The fur jacket fits you well.”

Rainbow’s Jaekyung admits she’s dating?

On October 15th, Rainbow‘s Jaekyung guested on KBS‘s ‘Secret‘, where she played a game of ‘blunt-truth-rapidfire’. Her reaction (or rather, lack of one) ignited speculations online of her being in a relationship.

The show features a ‘You With No Response’ game, in which cast members shout out accusations against their opponent. If the opponent isn’t able to respond, the statement is (jokingly) accepted to have some level of truth in it.

Jaekyung was asked, “You’re dating these days, aren’t you.” Surprised, Jaekyung stayed quiet and mumbled her way out of answering, causing speculations to run wild.

Guests on the show set up an impromptu press conference and asked her whether she was really dating or not. Jaekyung wittily clarified, “I want to date so bad that I was surprised to even hear the word!”

Rainbow’s Jaekyung is feeling under the weather

Rainbow‘s Jaekyung uploaded a new selca photo via her Twitter page with the caption, “I really don’t like this cold! I hope everyone stays healthy this flu season”

In the photos, Jaekyung is holding a packet of medication with her lips and also smiled for the camera. Despite her sickness, she looked just as bright and upbeat like her usual self.

Netizens responded to the photo with, “The medication packet suddenly became a hot item“, “You look cute, even when you’re sick“, and “Taking a selca with your medicine?“,

Meanwhile, Rainbow has plans to release their second single in Japan sometime in December.
