BoA thought her singing career would end in five years?

BoA looked back on her singing career on the August 17th episode of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Sketchbook‘.

During a conversation with MC Yoo Hee Yeol, she shared, “It’s been 13 years [since I've been active] as a singer, and this year is my 12th year anniversary [since debut]. But I try not to say it too much. It makes me seem old.” Yoo Hee Yeol responded jokingly, “What are you talking about. I’ve been doing it for 20 years.”

When asked, “Did you know you would be doing this for this long?” she answered, “No. I’m a singer who wants to be an idol. I first started off as an idol. The contract in those days didn’t have any agreements longer than 5 years. So I thought, ‘At the most, it will be over in five years.’”

She continued, “But my career path widened, and fortunately, many like my music, so I’ve been able to do music for a long time. I think, ‘Now I have to do music until I die.’ I think I’m such a lucky person. It’s rare that someone can receive love for their work. I also think I have to give back all the love.”

Ivy reveals J.Y.Park was in awe of her figure

On the recent episode of KBS‘ ‘Sketchbook‘, Ivy shared an episode she had with J.Y.Park.

Ivy started off by revealing, “J.Y.Park named me Ivy.” She continued,”J.Y.Park says that you have to dress up accordingly when you’re singing.”

She shared that she actually had to wear heels and flashy outfits when she sang sexy songs. She subtly bragged, “So when I sang a sexy song, I wore a very tight outfit, and J.Y.Park was in awe.”

Ivy shyly added, “I’m sorry,” humoring the audience with her apology for bragging.
