IU to hold her first Japanese solo concert ‘IU Friendship Special Concert Autumn 2012′

Singer IU will be holding her first solo Japanese concert, ‘IU Friendship Special Concert Autumn 2012‘ on September 17th at the Tokyo International Forum A Hall.

IU is currently on her first solo nationwide tour ‘Real Fantasy‘ and is greeting her fans throughout Korea in places such as Seoul, Ulsan, Jeonju, Suwon, Busan, and Daegu.

In the beginning of the year, the singer held a showcase in Japan to announce her official Japanese debut. On March 21st, IU released her Japanese debut single album, ‘Good Day‘, and kicked off a successful Japanese debut as she immediately ranked #6 on the Oricon chart.

Now, the ‘nation’s little sister’ is preparing to release her 2nd Japanese single ‘You & I‘ on the 18th of next month. The album will include the Japanese version of “You & I” which was composed by Lee Min Soo and lyrics by Kim Eana.

Meanwhile, IU signed a contract with EMI Music Japan in December of 2011 to begin her singing career in the country. The company consists of many talented Japanese artists like Utada Hikaru, Sheno Ringo, and more.

Who Wore It Better? IU vs. Sohee

IU and Wonder Girls‘ Sohee both showed off their own charms in the same pair of shorts.

A post titled “Sohee and IU wearing the same clothes” was recently posted on an online community board. The author wrote, “Sohee and IU are wearing the same pair of shorts” and shared the above picture which showed the two stars wearing the same shorts.

The two stars chose to wear a high waisted shorts with beading details. IU wore the shorts with a red sleeveless top while performing “Trouble Maker” during her solo concert, ‘Real Fantasy‘ on the 3rd. Meanwhile, Sohee wore her shorts with a white t-shirt and edgy stockings while performing “Like This” on June 12th’s broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Show Champion‘.

The netizens commented, “Comparing bodies, Sohee wins“, “I’m a girl but IU looks pretty to me”, “Comparing their performances, ‘Trouble Maker’ was better“, “Sohee, all she had to do was wear a white shirt and shorts“, “They show different charms with the same shorts“, and “I like both IU and Sohee.”

Park Ji Sung kept his promise to IU by attending her concert

 

Soccer player Park Ji Sung kept the promise he made to IU.

IU held her first solo concert ‘Real Fantasy‘ on June 3rd at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall and Park Ji Sung was present. The reason Park Ji Sung came was because he made a promise with IU on SBS’ ‘Running Man‘.

At the start of the second half of her concert, IU said, “There is a very special guest present today in the audience. We met through SBS ‘Running Man’ and I asked him to come to my concert and I am very grateful that he came.”

Park Ji Sung was then surprised when he was suddenly shown on the electronic display board. He was initially shocked, but then smiled and waved.

Netizens who heard Park Ji Sung went to IU’s concert commented saying, “Did you give up on the Mysterious Park Ji Sung? He has great manners“, “I guess Park Ji Sung is an uncle fan too“, ”I would be so nervous if Park Ji Sung was present at my concert“, and “A successful fan“.

On another note, other celebrity guests present at her concert were 2AM, Ra.D, Heo Gyung Hwan, and Lee Seung Ki.

KARA’s Nicole attends IU’s ‘REAL FANTASY’ solo concert

KARA‘s Nicole shared that she attended IU‘s opening night of ‘REAL FANTASY‘.

Nicole tweeted on June 2, “[My] IU is the most pretty,” and attached a photo of her ticket to IU’s concert. The ticket was for the opening night of the ‘REAL FANTASY’ concert at Kyunghee University.

IU and Nicole are reported to have become very close after hosting SBS TV‘s ‘Inkigayo‘ together.

Followers commented, “It looks like IU and Nicole are close. She went to see the concert and everything,” “Nicole and IU’s unexpected relationship. They did look like they were friendly with one another on TV,” “I hope your friendship lasts forever,” and “Nicole watched from the first floor.”

IU is holding her first solo concert since her debut, ‘REAL FANTASY’, at Kyunghee University from June 2-3.
