Moon Geun Young set to return to the small screen

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Moon Geun Young was offered a role to return to the small screen and now it seems an agreement has been made.

The actress will be coming back to television, after a two year absence, in SBS‘s new drama ‘Chungdamdong Alice.’

On August 23rd, a representative of her agency revealed that Moon Geun Young will play the role of Han Sae Kyung who struggles to find her place in the clothing company she gets hired at. She reflects back on her life wondering where things had gone wrong when she learns that the wife of the CEO of the clothing company is a schoolmate of hers, who did not do as well as her during school.

‘Chungdamdong Alice’ is the work of Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon who worked on ‘The Tree with Deep Roots‘ and ‘Queen Seonduk‘. The script will be written by Kim Ji Woon and Kim Jin Hee, who worked alongside the aforementioned names.

Moon Geun Young offered role in SBS’ upcoming drama, ‘Chungdamdong Alice’

Actress Moon Geun Young has been revealed to be in discussion for a small screen comeback through a new SBS weekend drama.

On August 10th, a representative of Namoo Actors revealed that Moon Geun Young might be cast for ‘Chungdamdong Alice‘, stating, “It is true that she was offered a role, and we are discussing the prospects of it, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.”

They continued, “If she were to make a comeback, it will definitely be through a drama. As it is her first comeback in a while, she is preparing thoroughly so as to show a better and improved image.”

Should she take the offer, this will be her first comeback in nearly two years since her last role in KBS’ 2010 drama, ‘Mary Stayed Out All Night‘.

‘Chungdamdong Alice’ is adapted from a novel by author Lee Hye Kyung under the title ‘Chungdamdong Oh Doori‘. Writer Kim Jin Hee, who previously worked alongside writer Kim Young Hyun for ‘Queen Sunduk‘ and ‘Tree of Deep Roots‘, will be taking the reins for the drama.

YoonA voted the female star who most reminds people of their first love

Girls’ Generation‘s YoonA was chosen as the number one female star who reminds people of their first love.

A community photo site, DC Inside, held a survey asking, “Which female star reminds you of your first love?” from May 22 to 29. The results revealed that YoonA received 6278 votes (42.7%) out of 1,4711 votes, ranking first.

YoonA is loved by fans for her innocent appearance, delicate figure, and cheerful charm. Her charms in the recent drama, ‘Love Rain‘, where she had double roles as elegant Kim Yoonhee and pure hearted Jung Hana, further strengthened her particular appeal.

Following YoonA, actress Han Hyo Joo ranked second with 4219 votes (28.7%), and Han Ji Min ranked third with 1271 votes (8.6%).

Stars such as Moon Geun Young, miss A‘s Suzy, and Han Ga In also made the list.
