Wonder Girls featured on front page of New York’s hit music station, Z100

The Wonder Girls have been featured on the front page of New York’s hit music station, Z100‘s website.

As the first Korean girl group to make an effort to break in to the American music market, the girls first promoted their hit songs Nobody and Tell Me, joining the Jonas Brothers on their 2009 world tour. After lying low for a while, the girls returned with their new track ‘Like Money‘ featuring Akon, and have seemed to catch the eye of the hit radio station.

Titled the ‘Wonder Girls Online Chat‘, the post alerts all Wonderfuls of the girls’ live online chat to be held at 2PM ET on September 5th .

Wonder Girls receiving much love on American music sites for “LIKE MONEY”

The Wonder Girls‘ new song “LIKE MONEY” (ft. Akon) is receiving hot responses from various American music sites. With the song’s release, it received much attention from not only Billboard, MTV and other media companies but also on various online music communities.

JYP Entertainment also told us that on the websites of popular radio stations, like New York’s ‘Z100′ and ‘Hot97′, there were comments such as, ‘When will we get to hear the Wonder Girls’ new song on the radio?”, “‘LIKE MONEY’ is the song of the summer“, and “I’ll be cheering on the Wonder Girls’ return to the American music market” were posted in support of the girl group.

In related news,  the Wonder Girls performed alongside Akon at the second ‘Green Groove Frestival‘ held at the Daecheon beach. The girl group performed their songs, ‘Like This‘, ‘Be My Baby‘, ‘Nobody‘ and a rock version of ‘So Hot‘, while Akon performed his hit songs such as ‘Lonely‘, ‘Angel‘, and ‘Right Now (Na Na Na)‘. After their individual performances, they successfully performed ‘LIKE MONEY’ together in front of 40,000 audience members.

According to a JYPE representative, “LIKE MONEY (Feat. Akon) is receiving much love in America. Please continue cheering on the Wonder Girls who will work even harder in the United States, Japan and for the world.”

Wonder Girls snap a fun photo backstage with Akon

The Wonder Girls have revealed a new group photo taken with their latest collaboration artist, hip hop and R&B musician Akon!

On July 22nd, Sohee shared on her Twitter, “with Akon. Sorry, Sunye unni. Kiki.”

The group decided to use a choreography point from their collaboration track, “Like Money“. Unfortunately for Sunye, it seems she lost the timing for the photo and is seen staring at the floor while everyone else stares brightly at the camera.

Netizens commented, “What’s Sunye doing by herself?”, “Sunye’s so cute with the mistiming”, “The Wonder Girls are now world stars!”, and “Akon has such a fatherly smile”.

The Wonder Girls and Akon recently performed at the ‘Green Groove Festival 2012‘. Akon will be joining the girls on their upcoming American promotions.

Wonder Girls release official album cover for “Like Money” ft. Akon

After releasing the video teasers for the Wonder Girls upcoming digital single, ‘Like Money‘, and revealing that Akon will be featured on the song, the official album cover has now been revealed!

The Wonder Girls look fierce with their futuristic warrior concept while wearing some sleek looking black outfits.

The Wonder Girls release teaser image and to collaborate with world renowned artist for “Like Money”

After making their impressive comeback with “Like This” last month, the Wonder Girls have returned with even more goodies for their fans on allthatkpops with an exclusive teaser artwork release for their next digital single, Like Money“!

The teaser photo is definitely enough to raise anticipation for their new digital single, especially since J.Y. Park had previously teased fans with snippets of information on his Twitter back in March. On “Like Money”, he had written, “There’s a huge surprise on their 1st single so get ready for this summer!”

Representatives of JYP Entertainment revealed to allthatkpops, “Their upcoming release, ‘Like Money’, is the work of songwriter Cri$tyle, who has previously worked with artists like Rihanna, and JYP Entertainment producer Woo S. Rhee ‘RAINSTONE‘. There will be a special artist also collaborating with the girls on the song, and although the identity hasn’t been revealed yet, rest assured that they’re world famous in that they’ve already amassed over 40 million likes on Facebook.”

They continued, “Anticipation amongst fans both domestic and international is also on the rise with news of the participation of Jonte Moaning, also known as Beyonce‘s choreographer as well as the man behind ‘Be My Baby‘ and ‘The DJ is Mine, alongside the director of the girls’ American TV movie, ‘The Wonder Girls‘.”

The Wonder Girls also recently partnered with Samsung‘s ‘Global Contents Partnership‘, so fans can expect to see a variety of Wonder Girls content in the upcoming release of the brand’s mobile, tablet, and PC products.

Check back for its surprise release at their Seoul concert on July 7th. The song and music video will be released digitally on the 10th.
