Park Jung Hyun opens up about the difficulties she faced during the early stages of her career

Korean American R&B singer Park Jung Hyun (Lena Park) recently shared the hardships she had gone through before making her debut in 1998.

On the July 12th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Jewelry House‘, guest Park Jung Hyun clarified the rumors of being swindled by a former manager. “It’s not true. I didn’t get swindled by my manager.”

“I managed to come to Korea and happened to sign with an entertainment agency. Although I was in the final stages of releasing an album there, there were some complications with that agency, which unfortunately led me to abandon the release.”

Park Jung Hyun then revealed that she was able to turn to her friend/composer Kim Duk Yoon during the times when she felt lonely.

Kim Duk Yoon further revealed Park Jung Hyun’s difficult past stating, “Due to the high cost of international phone calls, Park Jung Hyun was unable to make frequent calls to her parents who live in the States. She didn’t tell them that she was having a difficult time in Korea, thinking that they might worry about her.”

MBLAQ’s Mir shows his love for height-boosting insoles

MBLAQ‘s Mir recently displayed his love for ggalchang (shoe insoles that boost height).

On the first episode of MBC‘s ‘Jewelry House‘ which aired May 17th, Mir grabbed everyone’s attention by revealing, “These days, you can even put ggalchang in slippers.”

The attention then shifted to Eun Ji Won who blurted out, “I never use ggalchang,” taking off his shoes to prove he was telling the truth.

“I never use them either,” Mir said, taking off one shoe. However, his lie was obvious as there was a noticeable difference between the length of the leg without his shoe and the one with his ggalchang inserted shoe.

Mir then tried to walk across the stage, only to end up limping weirdly due to the difference in the lengths of his legs.

Fans of MBLAQ are all too familiar with the special bond between the group and kimchi fried rice, for kimchi fried rice represents the permanent breakfast menu item for the members. However, it seems that the relationship has hit a bump on the road.

On the March 17th broadcast of MBC‘s ‘Jewelry House‘, Lee Joon made a guest appearance and discussed his special bond for the Korean dish.

One segment had fans laughing as he sent a video message to his beloved kimchi fried rice by saying, “We see each other every day. Thanks to the corn kernels embedded in your body, I manage to get through each day. At the beginning, I liked you. But I think we’ve hit a snag in our relationship.”

However, he solemnly expressed his resolve to make the relationship work by continuing, “I believe that it is times like these that I should eat you even more so we become one in body. From now on, I will eat you until ‘Lee Joon’ and MBLAQ’ are synonymous with ‘kimchi fried rice’.”
