Song Joong Ki’s healthy image lands him a CF with ‘Centrum’

Actor Song Joong Ki has been named the new advertisement model for multi-vitamin brand, ‘Centrum‘.

On April 4th, officials of the brand announced, “We recently completed the TV advertisement filming with Song Joong Ki for Centrum’s next CF.”

Director Kim Sang Kyung added, “Song Joong Ki’s refreshing smile and his healthy image, which has won him fans with his appearances in historical to modern dramas, were what we thought fit well with the image of Centrum.”

CFs will begin running starting April 9th.

Popular actor Song Joong Ki‘s past photos have become a hot topic online.

The photos were recently shared on an online community board with a post titled, “Song Joong Ki’s beauty since birth“.

The collection of photos depict Song Joong Ki at various stages of his life from his childhood days until his college days. Netizens marveled at his adorable past and increasingly improving looks as he aged. Song Joong Ki gives his manager a new car as a gift

Song Joong Ki has showed off the goodness of his heart once again. In addition to donating his entire paycheck to charity, he has showed his gratitude and loyalty by giving his manager a luxurious present.

On January 18th, during an interview with Sidus HQ‘s Kim Jung Yong, Song Joong Ki’s manager, he revealed, “Song Joong Ki gave me a new car.” The car that Song Joong Ki gifted was a brand new Hyundai i30, while Song Joong Ki himself, is an owner of the first generation Hyundai i30.

Kim Jung Yong added, “I received the present about a month ago. Having worked together for a very long time and it being a new year is probably why he gave me a present. Honestly, because this isn’t something out of the ordinary, I’m a little embarrassed letting the public know about this. Song Joong Ki takes good care of the people around him regularly.”

When asked if Song Joong Ki said any special words to him while giving him the car, Kim replied, “We were both shy and awkward. We couldn’t say much“. He also added, “I am enjoying my new gift and am currently driving it with a very grateful heart.”

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki was able to receive recognition for his acting ability in last years’ SBS drama “Tree With Deep Roots” and received favorable attention with his movie “Many A Little Romance”. Currently, he is filming his new movie “Wolf Boy” with actress Park Bo Young and is acting as the MC for JTBC’s audition program, “Made in U“.

Song Joong Ki & Son Ye Jin picked as the #1 celebrities to watch a New Year’s sunrise with

Recently, Eduwill conducted a survey for their cultural performance event.  806 participants answered the following question, “Which celebrity do you want to watch the New Year’s sunrise with?”

The top winners in the male and female category were actor Song Joong Ki and actress Son Ye Jin.

According to Eduwill, Song Joong Ki received 33.4%(269 votes) of the total votes while second place went to So Ji Sub who received 21.3%(172 votes).  Hyun Bin(20.2%), Gong Yoo(16.7%), and Yoo Ah In(8.4%) grabbed 3rd, 4th, and 5th respectively.

Meanwhile under the female category, Son Ye Jin took first place with 32.2%(259 votes).  Second place went to Kim Tae Hee(23.8%), 3rd to Shin Min Ah(20.2%), 4th to Shin Se Kyung(19%), and finally Han Ye Seul grabbed the 5th spot with 4.8%.

On the other hand, ‘Jeong Dong Jin’ beach was chosen as the hottest spot to watch the sun rise on New Year’s Day.

No one recognized Song Joong Ki on the subway?

On December 24th, actor Song Joong Ki guested on SBS Power FM‘s ‘Park So Hyun’s Love Game‘ revealing an interesting story involving his commuting process to the radio station.

The actor started his story off with, “There was heavy traffic on the road and I decided to ride the subway because I feared that I would be late for this broadcast. I buried my head under a hat and wore glasses. No one recognized me and I was able to arrive 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled time.”

Upon hearing his story, radio listeners commented, “He used public transportation because he thought he would be late to work~ What a responsible man!“, “Wow his face must be small enough to be covered entirely by the cap. No wonder no one recognized him“, and “Only if I was there beside him~“.

A quick text conversation between actors Song Joong Ki and Jang Hyuk left fans smiling.

On December 22nd, Song Joong Ki shared a screencap of his convo with his ‘Deep-Rooted Tree‘ co-star and tweeted, ”Jang Hyuk sunbaenim and I have a deep-rooted connection!”

Song Joong Ki, who pioneered the start of the drama as young ‘King Sejong’, watched the series finale on the 22nd and sent his impressions to Jang Hyuk, who plays the role of ‘Kang Chae Yoon’.

Song Joong Ki wrote, “Jang Hyuk hyung-nim, I enjoyed the last episode. It was the best!” In response, Jang Hyuk sent an smiley and said, “It’s because you did so well in the beginning. Let’s see each other soon“.

Netizens want to spend Christmas with IU and Song Joong Ki the most

Dooit, an online research company, recently conducted a survey with 2,000 netizens and asked, “Which celebrity do you want to spend Christmas with?”

The celebrities with the highest number of votes were none other than singer IU and actor Song Joong Ki.

IU and Song Joong Ki each received 23.2% and 15.4% respectively. The runner-ups were Kim Tae Hee (13.4%) and Won Bin (10.1%) for 2nd place, while 3rd was awarded to Lee Min Jung (10.2%) and Lee Seung Gi (8.5%). 4th place came to Shin Se Kyung (6.5%) and Kang Dong Won(8.5%), and lastly, Big Bang‘s T.O.P (6%) and SNSD‘s Taeyeon (5.3%) took 5th place.

Representatives of Dooit explained, “The winners both have cute images, while those who took second are considered very good looking.”

Song Joong Ki donates entire pay from narrating “Tears of theAntarctic” to the needy

Actor Song Joong Ki has generously donated his entire pay to the underprivileged.

On December 22nd, MBC revealed “Song Joong Ki will be making year-end donations to help the needy by donating his entire pay from narrating MBC TV’s ‘Tears of the Antarctic‘“.

“Tears of the Antarctic” is the fourth instalment in MBC’s documentary series “Tears of the Earth“, and Song Joong Ki participated as the fourth narrator after Ahn Sung Ki, Kim Nam Gil, and Hyun Bin.

Song Joong Ki stated “After watching the ‘Tears of the Earth’ series, my interest in the environment has heightened. After narrating ‘Tears of the Antarctic’, I felt an even deeper love for family after seeing a penguin father’s instinctive love. It’s not that much, but I hope that my pay will be spent in a good place“.

“Tears of the Antarctic” will be aired on December 23rd at 11 p.m. KST. The broadcast will start with a prologue called “Meeting With The End of the World“, which shows the end of a successful one year voyage to reach the Antarctic’s marine ecosystem and the life of emperor penguins, which is regarded as being the most difficult species to approach in the world. Through this broadcast, everything about the Antarctic’s ecosystem will be revealed.

On December 6th, After School‘s UEE and actor Song Joong Ki attended the 2011 Barbie & Ken Awards at the Beyond Museum in Seoul.

On this night, the two stars were awarded one-of-a-kind Barbie & Ken Collection dolls for young fashion icons that are ahead of their time, and for also making positive influences through culture.

Held in honor of Barbie’s 52nd anniversary and boyfriend Ken’s 50th anniversary, the 2011 Barbie & Ken Awards focuses on the current generation and culture. Last year, actress Hwang Jung Eum and actor Kim Bum claimed the same award.

Song Joong Ki signs up for new movie, “Wolf Boy”

It seems like actor Song Joong Ki will be keeping himself busy this Christmas season, as he’s added another movie to his schedule.

Song Joong Ki, who recently released his movie “Many A Little Romance” with actress Han Ye Seul, will soon begin the production of his latest film project, “Wolf Boy”.

Directed by Cho Jung Hee (of “The End of the Beast” fame), “Wolf Boy” is a film that unveils a love story between a wolf boy and a girl, to be acted by Park Bo Young.

When Song Joong Ki was asked, “You made a comment that you believed Han Ye Seul was the prettiest celebrity in the industry. What do you think about Park Bo Young?” he skillfully answered, “Haha. I’m so happy I could die. Park Bo Young is also very pretty and cute. I think I have a lot of luck with my female leads.”

This won’t be the first time these two actors work together, as they once co-starred as voice dubbers for the animated movie “Rio” earlier in the year.

“The role I will be playing is a wolf, and I’m curious to see how it will turn out on screen. I think I’ll be able to show an image that hasn’t been seen in the Korean movie industry until now,”said Song Joong Ki.

Song Joong Ki has been widely acknowledged as an actor who is capable of showing a brand new image in each and every one of his productions, as seen in his dramas, “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, “Deep-Rooted Tree”, and his movie, “Many A Little Romance.”

“I often hear that I’m a rediscovered actor. I think it’s because I haven’t shown my true image yet,” he said in a humble manner.

If he has a lot of luck with his actress counterparts, what about in his love life? Song Joong Ki replied, “I beg you, if there is anyone you know who tells you they’re attracted to me, please tell them to approach me. Song Joong Ki acts out an ‘aegyo kiss’ skit with Shin Bora for Gag Concert

Actor Song Joong Ki has snatched up hearts with his explosive aegyo.

On November 7th’s broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Gag Concert‘, Song Joong Ki guested as comedian Shin Bora‘s younger boyfriend.

The actor pretended to be an adorable boyfriend who gets bossed around by his noona girlfriend. When Shin Bora told Song Joong Ki, “When you leave, take a taxi,” she handed him some money, inspiring Song Joong Ki to lean over and kiss her on the cheek.

Excited, Shin Bora added, “Take the best ride and go,” while taking out even more money. Song Joong Ki replied with another kiss on the cheek. He kept up the aegyo act with cute sayings like, “Noona, I’m hungry“, and even whipped out the popular “Bbooing, Bbooing” expression from MBC’s ‘High Kick 3‘.

Song Joong Ki’s skit was a big hit with the audience, but it’s also being reported that after the recording of the show, the actor ordered chicken for all 100 comedians and staff members on set.

On October 27th, actress Park So Hyun uploaded an affectionate photo of her and Song Joong Ki via Twitter.

The actress tweeted, “With Song Joong Ki, ‘Many A Little Romance‘ will be released on November 10th, please give [the movie] a lot of support“.  In the photo, netizens were able to see the friendly relationship between the two as they wrapped their arms around each other.  Their natural look with matching winter outfits had some viewers, mistake them as a real couple.

Former cast member Song Joong Ki to make a surprise ‘Running Man’ appearance

Song Joong Ki is set to appear on SBS’s “Running Man“ after a long absence.

At a recent filming of Running Man in Daejeon, the members of Running Man were surprised as former cast member, Song Joong Ki, appeared on the set.

The members commented, “Although Song Joong Ki was away for a long period, it feels as if he was here the whole time“, showing their welcoming sentiments toward Joong Ki.

On this day, actress Kim Sun Ah also appeared as a special guest to compete in the ‘Nationwide Tour Race‘ special, racing from Daejeon to Seoul.

This episode of “Running Man” will air on October 30th.

Song Joong Ki’s return to ‘Running Man’ previewed for next week

On the latest episode of SBS‘s ‘Running Man‘, former cast member Song Joong Ki‘s return to the variety show was glimpsed through the preview for next week, giving viewers something to look forward to in the week ahead.

This is the actor’s first return to ‘Running Man’ since his departure over six months ago.  He will be taking part in next week’s ‘cross-country race’ episode, where the members will have to criss-cross the country, solving puzzles while interacting with citizens.

“Next week is too far away,” exclaimed an impatient viewer. “So glad to see him again,” said another.

‘Running Man’ with Song Joong Ki will be broadcast next Sunday on October 30.

Song Joong Ki reveals his secret dating techniques

Previously, we reported on Song Joong Ki‘s shocking confession on how he was in a relationship for two years. Upon hearing the news, fans were desperate to find the identity of his girlfriend. On October 19th, Joong Ki finally released a statement on his dating life.

Song Joong Ki sat down for an interview with SBS‘s ‘One Night in TV Entertainment‘, and the interviewer asked questions about his current relationship status. Song Joong Ki boldly responded, “No comment.  I enjoy dating in secret.”

However, the actor did reveal his techniques on how he’d go on his secret dates. “I don’t wear hats when I go on dates.  People think we are just friends. We also don’t visit the city, but rather date in remote areas where there are elders,” he said.

The reporter then asked, “When you look at a woman, where do you look?“.  The actor candidly replied, “Legs. I’m a guy too.  I’m attracted to sexy body lines.”

The actor also expressed his interest in tall women when he revealed, “I don’t mind if she’s taller than me“.  The interviewer asked whether he had any relationships with tall women, to which he confessed, “I’ve dated one for almost 2 years.”

Lastly, the actor shared, “Normally, I don’t show aegyo, but when I’m with my girlfriend I show it a lot.”  Song Joong Ki was kind enough to exhibit his aegyo on set which caused the interviewer to blush heavily.

Actor Song Joong Ki has made a shocking confession — he’s revealed that he’s been dating someone without the public knowing!

While sitting down for an interview with SBS‘s ‘One Night of TV Entertainment‘, the actor revealed that he’s been secretly dating up till today. Song Joong Ki also shared that he’s not charmed by looks, but by the person’s unique qualities. Shin Se Kyung shares a ‘sweet maiden’ photo from ‘Deep-Rooted Tree’ set

On October 13th, actress Shin Se Kyung updated her me2day from the set of her new drama, ‘Deep-Rooted Tree‘.

She wrote, “[As my character] ‘So Yi’, I’m going to meet you all soon. My heart is beating~~^^. Thank you for giving lots of love to ‘Deep-Rooted Tree’. It’s going to become more and more interesting~ hehehe~”.

Shin Se Kyung shared a picture of herself in costume, daintily covering her head with a long blue hood formerly worn in older times. Her milky white face and soft look caused many netizens to praise her as a ‘sweet maiden’.
