Military Music Festival to feature Girl’s Day, Rania, Rain & more








It’s been announced that the annual Military Music Festival has been scheduled to take place on June 23rd in Gongjoo City, featuring idol performances and a singer competition by soldiers and civilians alike. Sponsored by the 32nd Division of the army trading command (ROKA), the event celebrates the Fallen Patriots & Veterans’ Month.


The pre-event ceremony will feature a performance by the army band, the Honor Guard Drill Team, the special forces’ martial arts routine, and army music video. Concert performances include Jang Yung Jung, Girl’s Day, Rania, Ruby and more, as well as celebrity PR soldiers such as Rain and Park Hyo Shin.


The singing competition has been drawing team application and is expected to involve over 5,000 people. The first 30 teams (10 soldier teams, 20 civilian teams) will be accepted for preliminaries, and 10 teams will be selected to advance to the finals. Seven finalists will receive monetary prizes, and the competition winners will receive a trophy and 2 million won (~$1700 USD).
